Floyd is just simply awesome…read more On the day of the wedding, Floyd showed up early and confirmed what we had discussed regarding style and timeline. My husband and I are seriously the most awkward when it comes to photo shoots, and I feared our photos would look forced. Leave it to Floyd to figure out a way for us to look like "us." He was very comfortable to work with, easy going, and made everything feel relaxed. When it came time for family photos, I feared it would be chaos since both families were so large, but Floyd kept everyone on track and got them done efficiently (and beautifully) so we could move on the partying! A few of my guests commented on how sincere and sweet our photographer was; never pushing for photos but always there for the right moment. Our portfolio of photos was extensive and captured every moment (and then some), which is exactly what I wanted. I emphasized I wanted the photos to look organic, not to pose-y, and to really capture emotions of the day. Floyd truly delivered, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. In terms of planning, he's very prompt in responding to emails / texts and was always very easy to communicate with. I highly, highly recommend Floyd and couldn't thank him enough for capturing our day so perfectly.

We were so bummed! It was supposed to be our first family shoot in Hawaii, and we had planned this for months. I immediately went on Yelp and sent a mass message to photographers on the island. It was Christmas Eve, and I highly doubted anyone would book us last minute for Christmas Day, let alone respond. It was worth a shot. Iris was one of the photographers who reached out to us. She was very empathetic and understood our situation. She didn't try to upsell us or complicate things with numbers. We booked her on the spot. On the day of the shoot, Iris went above and beyond. We had two families in our group that included several children and a 6-month old infant. Iris worked patiently with us to get various poses and captured all the beautiful smiles. It was not hectic at all and a lot of fun. We received our photos within a week, and we are so pleased with the final product. Iris captured our family beautifully. Her editing style is very romantic and timeless. I was initially skeptical because Iris didn't have a huge online presence, but she has proven to be very professional and talented. We highly recommend Iris and would not hesitate to hire her again on our next visit. She completely overdelivered and exceeded our expectations. Thank you, Iris!

She communicated thoroughly with me, sending me images of where we would be shooting. She gave great ideas and I'm glad I went with her suggestions as our photos came out exactly how I would've wanted. She wasn't afraid to get dirty and wet in the water. I'm sure she's used to it but I think she ruined a good pair of sneakers! Also, most importantly you will love your photos!

That was the first time we had a professional photographer take our photos and eventhough both my husband and I were awkward with posing, she was so nice with guiding us and made us feel comfortable. She really makes an effort in knowing our story and discussing how we wanted our photos to look. Our next project with her was our newborn/family photoshoot during the pandemic. She graciously accepted the challenge of taking the photos at our small apartment and her skills shines through as she can take beautiful photos with that set up. Our latest project with her was our little one's 1st birthday cake smash/family photoshoot. We love that she can give recommendations on the beautiful places around the island and if you have a specific vision in mind, you will enjoy working with her as she is very open to any ideas. Moreover, she made sure everything was set and prepared before the photoshoot. She was so calm and patient with our uncooperative baby and we were amazed that she was able to take beautiful shots despite that. We are thankful that she granted our request that we need a couple of the photos the next day for the party. Overall, she is a great photographer and we cannot recommend her enough!

Our photos were edited and delivered quickly, and the downloading process was super easy. We were blown away by how stunning they turned out and still love looking back at them. She has a great eye and plan for what she wants out of a family shoot and her suggestions for locations are top-notch. With that preparation she is still super flexible and lets the session organically succeed (when you have little ones, you know how this goes). While being very prompt and responsive, Kristin is one of the kindest people you'll encounter on Oahu. My kids LOVED her and she did not feel like a stranger at all. We're so glad we've done two photoshoots spanning six years now and could not recommend anyone better to anyone else for the future. Oh and we used her stunning photos of us for our holiday cards. They also have and will make their way to our family photo wall at home.

We met through one of her photographer friends (who moved off island) that I had hired to do a family shoot and my engagement photo shoot. Pinky came to our engagement photo shoot, and they had some great images!!! I hired Pinky to do our wedding, and I am so happy I went with Pinky. Pinky takes photographs that a timeless, classic, and simply breathtaking. She captured so much more than images. She really captured our emotions that day. If I had to describe her style of photography, it would be vintage meets glamor meets ethereal. She really can do it all. It really just is a breath of fresh air. Literally, seeing some of the photos she's taken...I can't help but take a deep breath and go, "Wow!" I especially love her soft, light images. Pinky works so well with natural lighting. The final images are just fabulous!!! My husband were so pleased with our engagement pictures that she (along with Athena and Alisa) took, and we were simply in awe of our wedding photos. They. Turned. Out. Amazing!!! I am no model. I do photo shoots every now and then, but I am, in no means, a model. My husband HATES taking pictures, but she really makes us feel comfortable in front of the camera. Pinky does not pose you into any awkward or uncomfortable poses, as I know some photographers do. Working with Pinky is very natural, candid-like, and very "in the moment." I highly recommend Pinky. She is talented, professional, and just so easy to work with!!!

We had our engagement photo shoot with Kenji in November at the Sun Flower Fields in North Shore. It was themed by the pixar movie "UP" so we had a VW bus and some silly costumes. They were early (better than on time), they had previously shot at the fields - so they knew the good spots, they were patient, and they made us feel comfortable. Tie The Knot Images were a very professional, down to earth, and talented pair (Kenji and Kathy). Kenji is extremely humble, punctual, organized, creative, photographer! Plus, he as a drone! It was a pleasure to work with him! Kathy has a wonderful sense of direction and she is able to feel out the couples vibe very fast. In addition, they send you the best of the photos and edit them accordingly. We even got a short video that we loved and added our own song choice. We really enjoyed working with them and were able to take silly photos along with typical romantic engagement photos. Thank you both so much! We've had a great response from our friends and family! We took some awesome unique shots in the sand, in the sunset and even in the water. My youngest child was so comfortable working with Kenji and Kathy that she unleashed her wild side which gave Kenji additional material to work with. And the photos captured it all. EVERY single frame they took was purely amazing! Our smiles were genuine and through his camera lense he featured the true joy, love and connection that my family shares. The experience with Kenji and Kathy was so wonderful and the photos (every single frame) is true art that will proudly be displayed in our home for many years. Our annual Hawaiian vacation will always have Kenji and Kathy on our agenda. It was a fantastic family vacation topped off with truly AMAZING photos to keep the aloha spirit alive here in the mainland. Mahalo, Esplanada Family
