Their quote was comprehensive and far more competitive than others we gathered. They were flexible with us on timing that worked for both parties and were super thorough on communicating what was happening daily. They ended each day with photos of progress made and an update on what would be happening the next day, timing for those coming to the house, etc. They worked with us on our more unique asks (installing super old antique doors) as well as guided and advised us on bigger decisions (removing walls, where to put build-ins in our mudroom, how to best configure our new closet). Crazy enough, we finished on time - actually a couple of weeks early. They've been back a couple of times since just to help with small things we ended up wanting revised or that we messed up (like my husband backing into our new stucco....). They care about their work and their clients. I cannot recommend them enough!

I'm terrible about making decisions and figuring out what design to go with and which professional to use. And the cost can be scary! No fewer than seven bathroom remodel pros took a look at the job and gave different quotes. Jonny at Serenity was the friendliest and most helpful of the bunch. His quote was simple, straightforward, and budget-friendly. I liked that he took care of buying and picking up all of the materials for me. Other guys were saying we had to do that ourselves and they just installed. Jonny and Serenity1 was super-chill and gave advice about material choices but was never pushy. It was a great experience! As of today, 46 days since closing, we now finally have hot water to our kitchen and laundry room, we have had 1/2 the house re-plastered and painted (but they still have to come back and rework the area they originally worked on because it was still bad), we will have had the Frigidaire service tech out 3 times fixing the gasket and we have had to buy remote thermostat sensors because of the location of the wall thermostats. Even something so simple as installing the toilet levers was incorrect. I have no idea what the TJH construction manager was doing when this house was being built. Unfortunately for us, we bought the home after it was completed. I know our TJH project managers are trying their best to help out, but when you work with vendors who don't take pride in their work, they have a hard time getting things accomplished. There are more issues than I want to go into in this review. BUT THE BOTTOM LINE - I WOULD HAVE A HARD TIME RECOMMENDING A THOMAS JAMES HOME TO MY FRIENDS!!!
