Cute little store with nice employees. I assume it may be an adequate store for those who are very…read morefamiliar with Indian culinary. I needed 3 basic Indian seasonings but i was only able to find 2. The store didn't seem to be organized well as spices were not all in the same area... The shelves were not maintained well & in general, the store was a dusty, dirty and a confusing mess. After leaving the store & doing more research, I learned that the item I was looking for 'Carom seeds' is also called 'Ajeain' which I remember seeing on a shelf. When I asked the woman if they carried Carom seeds, she clearly didn't know that they actually had it. I'll also mention that parking is very limited. Basically only 2 street parking spots in front of the store & no info for additions parking.

My Nepalese…read morebanker told me they had some of the most authentic street food in Colorado and it was his go to shop for cooking supplies and lunch. Today, the stars aligned as they were open and I was hungry. I first went into the grocery store to purchase the makings for sambhur, one of my favorite Indian dishes. The owner's daughter and her friend were a tremendous help as we looked up one of the ingredients. It is called Lady finger and looks like okra. We started talking about all the additions and remodeling going on in the store. In the near future, they will have everything for you to make a great Indian meal or stop in for a snack. And they also offer beauty supplies and Hindu statues. We then moved outside to the food truck. I already knew I was going to get pani puri, an Indian street food. They were 4 for a $1.00! As the pani puri were being made, we talked about all their offerings including their favorites, a cross between India and China chow Mein and the momos (dumplings). These young ladies want to open a small café with their aunt cooking wonderful Nepali, Indian, and Chinese influenced food. They talked of creative offerings like Bison momos and I offered that I would love to see paratha, a stuffed Indian bread with creative stuffing. This is not McDonald's and everything is created fresh so allow a little time. I was told the chow Mein takes 15 minutes, so order and then go inside to shop. And my pani puri.....it was wonderful. Light puffs filled with a stuffing of lentils and tamarind chutney served with a spiced water sauce. And at this stop, it is OK to drink the rest of the spiced water. I am very fond of the ladies who own this shop and food truck; I love seeing them dream better and more offerings. They have a steady clientele of local Nepalese and Indian patrons; I hope to see a steady clientele of Yelpers as well.

The trick is the balance of flavors....which keeps you/your tongue guessing as to what they are. One day you & your palate stumble upon these ingredients which have all come together to form a MOJO. The Columbian word for "mystery" and for many.....salsa will be what they first think of. But please.....don't go there {salsa} --- as these 8 painstakingly intricate mojo flavors are nothing like you will find beside your chips at any local or regional traditional Mexican / Tex-Mex / Spanish restaurant. Our family cannot stop experimenting with how many ways we can or have used these insanely delicious mojo's.....for the past 2.5 months! From marinades, to egg-anything, to bruschetta, on ravioli's & pasta's, over vegetables, mixed with certain seasonal fruits, in crema sauces....my wife just stated how amazing it was that she has not tired of any flavors or our constant usage. Watch what happens when you leave a container with ciabatta bread or chips in the employee lounge/kitchen at your place of work. And then listen for the ecstatic chortles that ensue and how many "where can I find that stuff tomorrow!!!" emails begin circulating. Obviously, this is a new and expanding business for its owner, yet her volume continues to grow and she has begun to sell out towards the end of Farmers Markets. Smaller retailers / specialty shops are looking to carry her product line - have not heard whom yet. The website does not give you a sense of the products impact as the owner seems to be so busy in the kitchen that she has no time for upgrading her web-marketing image - just making more product. You can spend $6 on numerous food items. Fast or specialty. Yet your money will go waaaaaay further, grace & embellish numerous food items, allow for more 'last bites' to be savored, when you spend the same amount on these mojo's!!!
