I feel compelled to write this review. I was just in Tausha's to purchase some fish. Being new to fish eating I wasn't clear how much I should get. I told the girl it was only me and I did not need a whole piece and she said that she could cut it in half for me. When I got up to the register to pay she told me that was only one serving of fish and it's not a lot of fish. It cost me $22 just for myself which I could pay going to a restaurant and having them cook it for me. The picture below indicates this is clearly two servings. I don't know why she changed her mind (the owner was right there) but I was upset about this and should have just left. They also asked for a tip just for checking out. Sorry Tasha's. I won't be going here again.

We love Tausha's! This is a small, awesome local seafood joint serving yummy fried seafood plates for dine-in/take-out. It's also a wonderful seafood market for fresh quality products! Coolers are set up around the store and clearly labeled with product and price. We love their assortment of fish and shellfish! We get strawberry grouper, yellow tail snapper, ahi tuna, shrimp- rock shrimp, U-12s, royal reds, key west pinks!, scallops, and how can i not mention their frozen hush puppies! In addition to the seafood, they also have a large beer and wine selection. There's a substantial portion of the market dedicated to wine. Hot sauces and condiments galore can be found all around... there's something for everyone! They also have a simple menu of fresh seafood for dining. This is a restaurant too after all! They have sandwiches or dinners... we always go the dinner route. Served with french fries, coleslaw, and hush puppies and sauce. They have grouper, mahi, perch, shrimp and a few other options. They're all served fried... blackened/grilled is not an option. Service is efficient and friendly and the couple that owns Tausha's is very sweet! We keep coming back for more!

Oh my goodness, what a gem of a place. Incredibly fresh seafood and reasonable prices. Service was friendly and quick. You don't go to Tausha's for the ambience. You go there for the food. It's a little seafood market in Port Salerno that also serves food. There are about 10 tables inside with a few high tops outside. There is no host, you seat yourself. You self serve beer from a refrigerator. Utensils are plastic and tableware is disposable. The restaurant is clean with condiments on the table. We ordered the grouper appetizer which was a generous serving of grouper and tarter sauce. We also got the shrimp dinner which comes with French fries and coleslaw. The tarter sauce was sooo flavorful. The shrimp were large, perfectly fried with a generous amount of shrimp. The French fries were perfectly fried as well. The coleslaw was slightly sweet and vinegary. It was not a super mayo heavy coleslaw; so I actually ate it for once. The seafood was also served with lemon which is great that I didn't have to request it. 10/10 I will be back for causal, delicious, no frills seafood. FYI: there is no fishy smell despite this place also being a seafood market. That's how you know it's fresh. Fresh fish doesn't smell!

Huge selection of fresh seafood to take away and cook or order prepared. The prices are reasonable and the prepared food is excellent. Friendly staff.

Great Selection of fresh local catch . Girls at the counter are excellent and food was incredible. A pile of fresh fried scrimp fries hush puppies and some Cole slaw that was slightly sweet and delicious as well as the rest of the meal. Busy time after lunch seating about full. Short wait for lunch sat outside on the sidewalk. Not an oceanfront view. A go to for a quick meal that's tasty and affordable. Thanks Peeps you do a great job!

I recently moved in the area and was desperate for good seafood! Look no further than this place. Prices are tremendous and the fish is as fresh as their sign says. Once I discovered it last week, I have returned three additional times. I ate in and the food was delicious and portions immense. The other times I picked up seafood to cook at home. I got to meet the owner Marty today and he was very welcoming and explained the differences in the shrimp he carries! Being from New England, I never experienced the variety he stocks here! So shrimp scampi is tonight's fare and it will be phenomenal because this establishment only carries super fresh seafood! Try it out! Dine in for exceptional fried seafood or take some home to enjoy seafood cooked to order!

The food is excellent. We had fried shrimp and oysters. Lobster bisque was also delicious. Casual dine in, with friendly service.

More like 4.5 starts! This place is a local Jensen Beach institution, and it's easy to see why…read more This charming restaurant also doubles as a seafood market during the day only. While they're open for dinner, the market part does close earlier (around 5pm). Their market has many items and they carry stone crabs during season also! The place is older inside, but in a good way that adds to their charm! The place is clean, service is efficient and friendly, and the food is delicious. They do only serve beer and wine, and there tends to be a wait during peak hours. Parking is super easy in their lot. Let's start with one of their main attractions... Scampi! They have the best shrimp "scampi" - this is a dish of just shrimp (no pasta!!), served with an addictive white wine, garlic, lemon sauce and crusty bread for dipping. We always get this appetizer! I love their fresh catch options - usually at least 5-6 varieties of fish to choose from! Get it your way, grilled/blackened/fried/with sauce preparations, etc.! The meal comes with two sides and always hits the mark. I love to pick from the different preparation options! Their lobster bisque is dangerously good and they serve Sherry on the side which we love to add into our bisque! Their hush puppies are insanely good - they have no business being that delicious! We'll be back to this local gem for more seafood soon!

Our first visit to NEF it's a fish market and restaurant. We stop in after the beach for lunchtime…read more I ordered the New England clam chowder which was the best thing that I ordered. We had the crab cake it was ok. Our entree was the crab legs and salmon. My crab legs were partially cold and hardly any crab. The salmon was delicious. Our side dishes came out wrong but waitresses corrected it quickly. Key lime was tasty. The restaurant is older and small. The smell of fish was intense for me.
