    Seafood platter!
    Hans E.

My wife and I visited there toward the end of February. We were in Stuart to spend the night at a B&B for our anniversary after attending an event in Okeechobee. By the time we got into town we were starving! We found the Quiet Crab on Yelp. Christine was reading the reviews to me and we both agreed it sounded great. When we pulled into the parking lot, we were kind of wondering (if I'm being honest) whether we picked the right place. Nothing wrong particularly, it just looked kind of ordinary from the outside--nestled in between some stores in a strip mall, basically. Boy are we glad we went in! First of all, the staff there are super friendly. Like you-want-to-hangout-with-them friendly. I forgot the main server's name but I'll never forget her caring, genuine "tableside manner". It just made us feel right at home. And that was really nice on a night when we're celebrating our wedding anniversary. We just wanted to relax and that's just how we felt. It was as if we were at her house in terms of how she greeted and took care of us. We ordered the seafood platter and a couple of appetizers. It was all delicious. The platter was plenty for the both of us and, in fact, we couldn't finish it all. I remember commenting to my wife that the massive shrimp seemed to be replicating on our plate somehow because we got WAY more than the "six" that were promised on the menu. I don't remember what my wife's appetizer was, but I had the crab bites. They are crab cakes in the shape of balls a fair bit larger than golf balls. Perfect portion and size. Great for groups, I would think, rather than the typical two large patties you get for crab cakes in other places. The chef/owner came out and chatted with us for a few moments to make sure we were perfectly happy with everything. Super cheery chap and he made us feel even more at home. Everything is fresh there too. So nothing frozen and when they're out, they're out (might want to have an early dinner!). Highly recommend The Quiet Crab if you're in Stuart. Writing this from up in the Tampa area and seeing the picture of the platter again makes me want to head down there for dinner. I tell you what, though, next time we're anywhere NEAR Stuart, I'm going to pitch my better half on swinging by--and I'm pretty sure I know what the answer's gonna be! ;-)

Crab "egg" rolls - sooo good

Stumbled upon this gem by accident one day; and upon entering the first time, candidly, we were a little wary cuz it's in a really oldddd plaza. But we sit down and immediately we were joking and laughing with the servers who are all really great and fun! "You HAVE to try the crab bisque", they say, and we do, and ohmygoodness!!!! Just wow!!! And then Jeff (owner and chef) comes out and chats until the servers remind him that he needs to go back in the kitchen and cook . Soo sooo good.

There's NOTHING "quiet" about this food especially the CRAB! The Owner Jeff is a rare find when it comes to finding a restaurant that cooks with passion and love. Man oh man, please don't sleep on this place! The Crab soup is rich, creamy and lumps of tender fresh Crab with a shot of love. I could just drink this soup and be happy. The Egg Crab Rolls...smh. A must order! Just look at the pic of the inside of that roll! Tender Crab and crunchy exterior and don't forget to dip it. The Ahoy plate comes with 2 clusters of Crab legs, sweet and seasoned to perfection, boiled shrimp was seasoned with just the right amount of old bay, added a boiled egg and it too was a sure delight with seasoning, lobster tail so meaty cooked right and lastly corn on the cob. Jeff had so much passion in his food that you could taste the love in every bite. There's a dipping sauce called Crack butter...OMG!!! PLEASE BOTTLE THIS SOON JEFF!!! I was looking for a pillow thereafter. I don't remember the last time I went for a seafood dinner and come away full like that and still didn't break the bank on the prices. Customer service was off the chain! Immediately upon entering the restaurant we were greeted by Courtney that treated us like we were movie stars. She was bubbly, joyful and knowledgeable about the menu and where the food comes from. Never went without a full glass so much so the Waiters were taking turns bringing drinks that one time Courtney had to take away her drink she brought to my husband who already had just gotten a full drink. All I can say is going here made me feel like I was having a celebration dinner. With the love and passion the Owner puts in his food is almost a lost art. Please stop if you're in this area. I drove from Fort Pierce a 30 plus minutes away was sooo worth it to find this hidden gem. I'll be back for sure before I leave this area!!! Don't miss falling in love with seafood done right by Chef Jeff. Stop by... you'll thank me later.

OMG! Finally we have found the real deal crab cakes and creamy crab soup. The crab cakes were top-notch no filler of any kind all you taste was the pure lump crab meat. The creamy crab soup was exactly what it said it was creamy, and had chunks of crab and delicious. The Owner/Chef was so personable and attentive to all his customers, making sure that the meal that was presented to them was exactly what they expected. This restaurant will definitely be our go-to place whenever we want excellent jumbo lump crab cakes and scrumptious creamy crab soup.

Omg. Soooo glad we came back. Hubby and I were here when they first opened. It was crowded. Good but not great. I admit right here, right now, I was so wrong. Jeff, owner chef, is so enthusiastic. Love that about him. But does that make great food? You bet your crab claws it does. They recently acquired the old sign from Jupiter Crabs. So far so good. We ordered crab bites. Delicious. Hot little bites full, yes full, of crabmeat. We also had creamy crab soup. Really good, with just enough crab meat. Now, onto entrees. Hubby had crabcake with Key West Pinks. Very good, big chunks of crab. Oh yeh. I wanted one crabcake with Old Bay fries. The waitress suggested I order crabcake sandwich, sans bun. Saved a few $$. Overall, the absolute best we've had in Florida. Very very like authentic Maryland crabcakes. Of course, Jeff is from Maryland and knows what we expect. Yes, we'll go back soon

Amazing! It's been over a week and we are still raving loudly about the quiet crab! Just crab... and a few other things are piled only our plates. Just crab make up their crab cakes. I mean seriously, prices are excellent. Service is personable and the quiet crab sneaks into your belly and makes you sooooo happy! Our date night in this quiet little town. The perfect place to get down and dirty with some crab legs and lobster and crab cake and key west shrimp. Straight up - sweetness and fresh. No fillers and none of that junk stuff. You really just have to check out the pictures and try it yourself. Go out of your way to eat here because it is well worth it! Probably the areas best kept secret. You will thank yourself.

Stop!! And do yourself a favor and make it a point to eat at this amazingly delicious restaurant. The crab legs were anything but "quiet"..but rather an explosion of flavors in your mouth. I chose the fries as the side dish and they did not disappoint either. They were crispy and came with sprinkled with Old Bay seasoning that gave it the perfect kick. Tonight's special was a Poke bowel, which my Hawaiian friend, certified as authentic as it gets East of Oahu!! In short- make The Quiet Crab a 'must do' on your list while in Stuart. The staff and owner are amazing and the food is incredible! As always...you'll thank me later!

    Fun times!

So delicious! Best crab cake ever! The food was delicious and it did not even need butter. Their garlic butter is an amazing added bonus. Excellent beer choices and wine on tap! We look forward to seeing you guys again soon.

    Crab stuffed Maine lobster

The Quiet Crab is one of those local spots that just keeps getting better and better! Jeff is the owner/chef who makes everyone feel special and welcome! Covid has been rough on restaurants but thankfully for diners, Jeff worked hard and kept this little jewel of a restaurant open! We pre-ordered Maine lobsters stuffed with crab and it was absolutely delicious, as always. We couldn't resist ordering Maryland crab bites, and they didn't disappoint! They were piping hot and wonderful. Reservations on the weekend are essential!

The cute outside tiki style dining area had a bar and a great island type feel. Unfortunately, it was packed, so we chose the inside dining area. Unlike the outside area, which felt quite tropical islandish, the ambiance of the inside dining area was... well let's just say, functional. First let's discuss the service. Our server was fantastic. Explaining the specials, keeping our drinks topped off and providing just the right amount of attention (not overbearing and not missing in action when needed). She was what restaurant "servers" used to be and are now degraded to "food deliverers". On to the food. My lovely bride ordered the salmon and I... although I initially intended to enjoy seafood at a "seafood restaurant", decided on one of the specials, duck with a blueberry glaze. We started our meal with the mussels in white sauce. The mussels were great and the white sauce was ideal for bread dipping which we chose to indulge in until the little rolls ran out. Salads were included with our meals. Usually when you get an "included" salad, it's an afterthought and tastes like an afterthought. But it was clear that these salads were not that. I ordered the Caesar's salad, my spouse the house salad. Both were great (except for the tomatoes on the house salad which were blah). Both salads were icy cold with just the right amounts of dressing. Good start. My brides salmon was prepared well but lacked something. We both agreed it needed some type of sauce to add a bit more flavor. Her side dish included lemon rosemary potatoes. Unfortunately, we couldn't find a hint of lemon or rosemary. They actually looked and tasted like breakfast home fries. My blueberry "glazed" duck was actually blueberry "bathed" duck. I have never had duck in an actual pond of blueberry "juice". It was too thin to be called a glaze. I must admit, once you overcame the blueberry juice, the duck was cooked to perfection. As a chef, I understand how hard that is to do. Not overcooked, crispy skin, juicy interior. This duck would have had it all if not for the blueberry "juice".. excuse me "glaze". My duck was accompanied by an ample serving of excellent fresh spinach with bit of garlic topping. For desert, we shared the vanilla/chocolate Tartuffe which was excellent. One of the things we found appealing was the prices. Everything was in the twenty + dollar range. Not bad in today's inflated dining market. The bottom line of any review is... would we come back? The answer is yes. This time we'd sit outside in the tiki bar area to get more of the island feel, hopefully get our server to serve us again and try a few more dishes. Perhaps something that included clams since the restaurants name is after all Mangia "Clam" Bar.
