Best Dentist office I have ever had the pleasure of finding. I had NO idea how bad my previous dentists / cleaning had been untili I found Tatum Dental Care. Decades of not being told the truth/ no clue what my dental needs were, were solved in the first consultation with Dr. Z. He saw problems that everyone else ignored..and directed me to the BEST oral surgeon, Dr. Zuch. In 2 months from finding this amazing office, I have solved decades of problems that was so close to loosing many teeth. On another note, my reason for finding a new dentist was the lack of cleaning I had received from my past dental office....3 cleanings a year, and my teeth were not clean when I left :(. My first cleaning at Dr. Z's was 75% more time and effort than I had ever received in a cleaning in the past. SO SO very impressed and happy! Prices are great, service is great, and Dr. Z KNOWS his stuff.... and I trust him! I was referred to him by my friend who said he was amazing....she was right! read more

Dr Zargar is a very good and professional dentist, but the front staff, especially Sylvia, needs to work on their customer service skills. Sylvia was rude, unprofessional and a very poor listener. I would never return to this office. read more

I never actually made it into the office or met the dentist. This review is simply due to my phone interaction with the Office Manager Sylvia. Sylvia attempted to reach me the day before my appointment as information from my insurance had been entered in incorrectly (by her) months ago when I made the appointment. I did not see the voicemails left until the morning of my appointment and I returned her call 2 hours prior to my appointment time. Sylvia had a very demeaning tone and scolded me for not returning her call sooner. She told me that because I didn't call back in time they had moved my appointment time, which felt unprofessional but was fine with me. I then asked her to make sure that there would not be any x-rays taken as I had already had them taken earlier this year by another dentist and didnt want to be charged for having them done again. I had also sent them a copy of these x-rays 3 months prior to help avoid this issue. She couldn't give me a straight answer. We hung up and I called back a few minutes later to tell her I wanted to cancel because I felt uncomfortable with proceeding without knowing for sure. She became extremely combative and literally would not allow for me to cancel. I tried to reason with her and just figure out if the x-rays I had sent previously would suffice so I didn't have to take new ones but she just kept raising her voice and talking over me. I couldn't get a word in with her. Every time I began to speak she would raise her voice and say my name over and over again until I stopped talking. It was such a demeaning experience and I was in utter shock that she was being so aggressive and rude. Come to find out, she is the wife of the Dentist which explains why she feels entitled to not provide any decent level of customer service. I decided not to go to the appointment simply because I didnt want to have to interact with her ever again. She was so awful! read more

Today was my first experience with Tatum Dental Care. The atmosphere is very calming. The staff are friendly, office is clean, and Dr. Zargar was extremely thorough when doing my consultation. He is very knowledgeable. I will be returning to him. The office is not hard to find. read more

Very disappointed with the level of service (non-service, rather!) and their dentist professionalism and ethics. BACKGROUND: My wife and I were visiting my son (ASU student), during these times because we had not seen him since Christmas and he was quarantine since March and we just wanted to comfort him. We are not sick, do not have symptoms, have not been around anyone that has tested positive for the Coronavirus, and we follow all the health guidelines to remain safe. My wife was in pain due to a cracked tooth, which just needed a crown to be placed on the tooth until she can receive a more permanent solution. She called and explained the situation to the dental office and they made an appointment for her at 8:00 am. We arrived early and was told that they did not have any records of her appointment. Again, we explained the issue and they rescheduled the appointment for 4:30 pm. My wife was in pain all day waiting for the appointment time. At 3:03 pm, a representative from the dental office called and informed us that the dentist was refusing to provide dental service to her because she was from out-of-town. No other reason was provided...just that he was concerned because she was from out-of-town. They waited until the end of the day to call, which now my wife had to wait another day in pain to make an appointment elsewhere. The dentist never questioned if she was sick or had any symptoms. Just that he does not want to see her because she's from out-of-State. No referral to another dentist...nothing, no help at all. Just refusal to provide service, period! Is that ethical? We pay for dental insurance and that dental office accepts our insurance...can he just refuse to see a patience? If he is concerned about her possibly having the Coronavirus why didn't anyone ask questions to assess her health condition. We both felt it was heartless to leave a patience in pain with no service or referral...just too bad. Very disappointed. read more

I enjoy going to Tatum Dental Care. At least as much as one can enjoy going to a dentist. It's a nice little office with a great staff. I think I've been seen by every hygienist in the practice and each of them does a great job. My teeth and gums always feel great after a cleaning. No pain. I also love that they have a monitor with DirecTV that hangs over the chairs. Watching SportsCenter really does take away some of the awkwardness of having someone poke and prod in your mouth. There are only two things that bug me about the office. 1. The rooms aren't completely private. There's a small wall but no doors separating each room. It's not bad, but you can really hear when someone is getting work done. That drilling sound is just never pleasant. 2. The little fountain in the waiting room. I'm sure a lot of people find the decoration soothing. I personally think it's kind of annoying. Two small gripes aside; this is definitely a dentist worth seeing if you happening to live in this part of town. read more

I was so blessed the day I found Dr. Zargar. I had been passively looking for a new dentist when I happened to meet his lovely wife, Sylvia and compliment her on her smile. She said her husband was her dentist & my life was instantly improved. I just didn't know how much! The staff is very compassionate & friendly. Dr. Zargar is unsurpassed in his knowledge, training & skill. He too is compassionate. A trait every dentist should possess. I recently had an emergency and called the office, Sylvia got me in the first thing Monday morning to be seen. Can't ask for a better response time than that--I called on Friday afternoon. I have searched and searched for a dentist in the North Valley...and I was happy to find these guys a few years ago. They are very thorough, and they don't try to sell you things you don't need. I had a great dentist in Chandler, but after moving up to North Phoenix, it seemed that every dentist I went to want to do extra work and some didn't even want to clean my teeth. I am a 'teeth person' and take my dental work seriously. I wasn't thrilled when they told me I had a cavity last week, but then again they had been 'watching' these teeth for over year, so I know when he said I needed to get it filled, I really do need a filling. While cavities and fillings aren't my idea of a 'great way to start your day;' I don't mind it with these guys. read more

Really Disappointed! I originally went to them in 2004 and thought it was a little crazy that my first visit stated that I needed eight-ten things done. This is when my previous dentist in DC said all was fine. I decided to go with it. All seemed fine, but I did need to have an extra appointment to look at things. They would not clean on the first visit. My only issue was that they were never on time for appointments. After my father had a bad experience with them in 2010, I didn't go back for a while. Just today, I thought I would go back as their location was great for me. Again, I couldn't have a cleaning the first time...but I thought I could get through that. I showed up 15 minutes early to re-fill out paperwork. After waiting an hour for my appointment and still didn't make it back, I just couldn't take it anymore and had to leave. The fact that they make you sign a paper saying that you are responsible for paying for appointments not canceled within 48 hours really makes me upset when they let you sit for an hour. I am going to look elsewhere!!! read more

I have hated going to the dentist all of my 47 years until I started going to Tatumn Dental. They want you to be comfortable regardless of how long it takes (who does that!?!). They don't pressure you into procedures you can't afford and work really smartly with your insurance to maximize your benefits and minimize your out of pocket. And most importantly, they do GREAT work. It's a relief to know you can take care of your dental health and not be in pain, go into debt or be treated like a bad patient because you can't afford all the work at once. Going to this dentist was a horrible experience. They are not qualified to do anything other than general dentistry. I went to him and had a crown done. Not only did he mess up the crown he destroyed a perfectly healthy tooth next to it.He made the crowns too short and argued with me when I complained. The entire experience was a nightmare. His wife also runs the front desk and she is rude and offensive. read more

I was dismayed and disappointed at the receptionist Silvia for misleading me regarding my dental appointment. After a regular dental cleaning, I was scheduled for the next one three months out. I was given a card with the date and time written down. Come the week of dental cleaning, I was not called to confirm my appointment or texted with a reminder. When I showed up for the appointment, Silvia told me I was not on the schedule for that date. She then told me the scheduling system had undergone a software update, hence my absence on the schedule. I found that hard to believe since they had never missed an appointment before and never failed to remind me via phone call or text. She did not apologize for the mistake and simply told me they will reschedule me for another day. It was completely unprofessional behavior from them. I am never going back to Tatum Dental and have since switched dentist. read more
