I went tonight without an appointment. I was extremely nervous going into the shop, as I hate needles and I've only had my ears pierced once before, but as soon as I met Roni (who has the most interesting collection of facial tattoos and piercings, and his eyeballs are tattooed black! whew!) I instantly felt better. Roni made the whole process quick and (practically) painless. My wait time was around 20 minutes tops, and it cost £25 for my nose piercing. The atmosphere of the shop was busy busy busy, with loud upbeat music playing and a tattoo machine buzz in the background. After waiting, Roni took me to the back and was calm the whole time, asking me about myself and talking about life in London. It definitely helped relax me, and for that I'm grateful. He was very patient and gave me time to decide exactly where I wanted the stud to be. Everything was clean and sterile. I was done within 10 minutes - Roni really knows his stuff (I think he said he's been in the business for a decade or so?). I would definitely come back here for any other piercings/tattoos.

Botched tragus piercing due to improper jewelry used…read more I got my tragus pierced pierced here as I've had other piercings done here previously. I've always felt it was a reputable studio and was pleased with the service. However, this experience has been traumatic and frankly awful. I chose my bar (a plain titanium silver bar) and was taken to get the piercing done. It was really quick and not painful - I was given care instructions. However within 48 hours, the pain was too much (my whole jaw was aching and the side of my face was swollen) and my tragus ballooned up to the point that yesterday evening I noticed that I couldn't feel the 'back' of my earring anymore. I realised that it must have embedded; perhaps the bar was too short? and I had no alternative but to remove the piercing. Well... turns out that was rather a horrible ordeal because I pulled out the bar from front to back - no doubt causing trauma to my piercing. I was horrified to see that the bar did not have a typical flat backing - instead it had a tiny diamond jewel. I contacted the studio immediately on facebook and told them what happened and that I thought the wrong type of jewelry was used. They apologised a bit, the owner of the studio even said "yes looking from the pictures I agree with you" (i have attached a photo of the bar they used, alongside a hideous photo of my ear skin growing over the tragus piercing from the back). The owner, Barbara was apologetic and keen to resolve the issue, which I appreciate. However, I went to the shop this evening, and the piercer didn't apologise. Not even once. She was adamant that it was the correct type of jewelry and safe to use. 1. I did not pay or choose a diamond jewel bar. They also use externally threaded jewelry, which is an AVOID anyway. 2. the diamond side was inside my ear, and therefore far too small to be used. It was basically asking to get embedded at this point. The 'head piercer' who botched my ear offered to put in a new bar, but I took it home and said I would do it myself as I don't trust them. They condescendingly said I wouldn't be able to get it in by myself (which I did in fact manage). I did receive a full refund, but frankly the fact they didn't even acknowledge any wrong doing is upsetting to me. I've had many piercings before (body and ears) and had no issues with healing them. Unfortunately I would not recommend them for piercings and they've sadly lost a customer. I can't comment on the tattoo experience here, it's probably better - and management is OK. Just need better customer care from the piercing team and also better training standards.

I mistakenly said I wanted a tragus at first & he was so nice when it came to helping me figure out what it was I actually wanted. I came here on the 29th of October in 2013, I know this because I got the date tattoo'd on my body,…read moreBUT I would've probably remembered it anyway because of the g money experience I had there. So I hopped on a plane to London one day on my own because I heard Drake say something about YOLO on the radio and I'm an impressionable teen. My hotel was a walk away from this tattoo studio so I thought "AYYYYY my dad hates tattoos let's get it started hot" and walked in wanting to get my first tattoo at a foreign place in commemoration of the day. Should've probably thought what I wanted to get through more, but spontaneity is a beast of burden in that way and as a result I had no idea what I wanted to get as an image to go with the date. Two wonderful, wonderful, chill as hell, beauties by the name of Mike & Anna (I THINK. I SUCK BALLS AT NAMES) were working and Mike sort of just went back and forth with me on what I wanted. Which I was really grateful for because it meant my tattoo would have more of a relation to the artist as well. We settled on a Poppy (nothing to do with remembrance day or anything I'm just a dumb tourist that saw it everywhere when I landed) and simple print date because I'm also a dumb hipster that likes minimalistic shit. Also holy shit I didn't even have an appointment and they were still like come on in! ANYWAY, I asked Mike to put it at a discrete location in case I needed to hide it from my parents or my workplace so it's on my side next to my left breast. The poppy's like my third nipple lol. I even got away with going completely naked to a bathhouse in Japan where tattoos are a no no, so size and placement get a 10/10 For a first tattoo it was like a weird tickle, it never hurt, but Mike kept asking if I was okay anyway through out the whole thing. So rad! And Anna & Mike were so easy to talk to, easy going, honest, and even made me a damn list of places to see during my stay. I don't remember how long it took because time flew by. Anna even gave me a contact in case I needed a locals help cause she felt bad for me and seriously y'all were nice x 1000. I wish I could've met the others that worked here, because if these two were anything to go by, the other artists are probably a blast too. My tattoo is so clean and well done, can't believe I lucked out on walking in here for my first one. Next time I stop by London I'll be sure to bring gifts and get another. In the end, the tattoo doesn't just remind me of the trip, but it reminds me of the really brilliant time I had in Lauren's studio with two awesome tattoo artists. So much more worth it.

Also I highly recommend this place because their aftercare was amazing, when I was having problems they were happy for me to pop in and check over if everything was ok. Overall they have lovely staff, they don't rush through things and they have great aftercare.

The place in itself is pretty small. When you walk in, the left side is customer service and a not to private tattoo booth. On the right is where you can buy anything medicinal use related products. I'd had it pierced a year ago at a well-known piercing…read moreshop in Central London but it had never fully settled, so I thought I'd try somewhere else to change the jewellery (and ask for a second opinion on how the piercing itself was faring). I chose Stotker as it's local to me and had really good reviews. I am *so* glad I came here. The piercer, Edyta, greeted me warmly and took me through to her studio. I'd brought my own stud, an internally threaded labret like the one I'd been pierced with but with a smaller gem. As soon as she saw it, Edyta expressed concern. She advised against wearing a labret in a nose piercing as they are so hard to keep clean, meaning you have to root around with a cotton bud and just keep irritating the piercing. I was so relieved to hear this, as it's exactly what I'd been experiencing - and we had a really good and frank chat about it. She suggested I try a nose screw with a tiny gem and a narrow gauge, explaining why it would be better for me, and I was convinced enough to go for it. She gave me a big selection to choose from. She gently unscrewed my labret (apologising as it was irritated and bled a bit) and inserted the nose screw. Despite the angry bump by my piercing, I was delighted with the dainty gem and felt I *finally* had what I had wanted. Edyta advised saline solution twice a day for two weeks, and guaranteed (with impressive conviction!) that the piercing would finally settle down. A week and a half later, and I can say she was dead right. I am completely thrilled to finally have the beautiful piercing I'd imagined when I'd first decided to get it done, and only wish I'd come to this great local studio in the first place. I've wanted other piercings but my experience with my nose put me off; now I feel curious again and will definitely come here next time :) And a word of wisdom - *don't* get your nose pierced with a labret stud. It's not fun doing saline soaks on a swollen red piercing twice a day for an entire year. Including on holiday. :/

This was my fourth - it just happened to be my first tattoo done by someone other than my regular US guy, Guf. But I knew that if I was getting a tattoo on this trip, it was going to have to be done in London, for the meaning of it all. As I say, I did a lot of research. I corresponded with several shops via e-mail, since we weren't in the UK at the time. The tattoos that we wanted were fairly simple - a band logo, all black, and nothing special or crazy to be done with them. I even sent the shops jpeg copies of the image we wanted, just so they knew. We decided on Diamond Jacks for a few reasons, and planned our one Saturday in London around being at the shop right when they opened, and staying for as long as it'd take to do two small-ish tattoos. We showed up right at 11 am, but the shop was closed up tight. Undeterred, we did a couple quick laps around the neighborhood (kind of sketchy, if you're easily scared off), and the next time we stopped by, the door was open. Up the stairs we went to talk with the first person we came into contact with. We discussed everything we wanted, and he said he could have someone do it that day, but that he had an appointment already. They had us sit down to fill out some paperwork, and I handed over a high quality hard copy of the image in question. Not long afterwards, they came to get us. We were taken upstairs to have our tattoos done at the same-ish time - and I think they were brothers. We never got their names, which kind of annoys me (they didn't introduce themselves, and I didn't think to ask till it was too late), but they were quick and efficient. My version is on my forearm, and is quite small, compared to my husbands (which is on his calf). They went through the whole speech about care and placement and all that, and my guy seemed a bit shocked when I told him that this is my fourth tattoo. I think he may have thought I was fibbing, but I was more than willing to bust out two of the three, at least, to prove it to him. At any rate, he quickly placed the stencil and got me set up, and before I knew it, he was going to town with the needle. It was quick and painless - for both of us - and we were in and out before the hour was up. It was kind of pricey for two small-ish tattoos, but I can't begrudge them that. Overall I'm happy with my tattoo. It looks how I want it to look, and it's not nearly as in-your-face as I was afraid it'd be (all my other tattoos are bright and colorful and cheery, whereas this one is all black). I'm glad we went, and I'm glad we have this permanent reminder of our epic European vacation.
