I've never written a Yelp review before, but after my experience today I just had to! I went to the other location in Leicester Square because the Charing Cross one is tattoo-only. I went tonight without an appointment. I was extremely nervous going into the shop, as I hate needles and I've only had my ears pierced once before, but as soon as I met Roni (who has the most interesting collection of facial tattoos and piercings, and his eyeballs are tattooed black! whew!) I instantly felt better. Roni made the whole process quick and (practically) painless. My wait time was around 20 minutes tops, and it cost £25 for my nose piercing. The atmosphere of the shop was busy busy busy, with loud upbeat music playing and a tattoo machine buzz in the background. After waiting, Roni took me to the back and was calm the whole time, asking me about myself and talking about life in London. It definitely helped relax me, and for that I'm grateful. He was very patient and gave me time to decide exactly where I wanted the stud to be. Everything was clean and sterile. I was done within 10 minutes - Roni really knows his stuff (I think he said he's been in the business for a decade or so?). Some great customer service here from the girls working the day I went for my piercing. Have never seen someone change their gloves so quickly and promptly between each step of the piercing. I was visiting from San Francisco a couple of months ago and set this up via email. Sending what i wanted and communication on how i wanted it placed and procedural effects were fast and professional. Upon arrival i went straight there and was helped quickly by the artist Ben who made sure it was a perfect drawing and placement without any coaxing from me. I was pleased by his works on other customers as well as my own. It is easily my most elaborate and beautifully done tattoo as the states dont care as much about customer satisfaction it would seem. Got my biggest tattoo done here! I put a hell of a lot of consideration into where I was going to get the art work done due to the size and detail I knew I needed an EXCELLENT artist! Extreme Needle was recommended to me by a great friend who had a large piece done by Chris in the Leicester Square shop. The quality of the work spoke for itself and I knew I had to contact Extreme Needle! So I called and spoke with Abz who is the founder of the business and sent him over the image I had for my new piece. He got straight back to me and let me know that one of his Artist's, Alex, wanted to tattoo me!! I went straight over to the shop to get a quote and Alex agreed to start straight away! After 2 and a half hours I was beat No food + tattoos = crap idea!! I went home to rest and returned a week later to get my beautiful back piece finished! Also got a piercing while I was there, healed perfectly and virtually pain-free (although that could be due to being tattooed for 3 hours beforehand! Lol). I'll be going back! read more

Stopped in here about 7:30 for a second nose piercing, with the hopes of getting a couple ear piercings for my girlfriend as well. They only had time for mine but were incredibly communicative and honest about it. They gave very thorough care instructions before I even saw the piercer, which I appreciated. My piercer, Raph, was extremely thorough and practiced impeccable hygiene through the process, changing her gloves at least 3 times and cleaning the area multiple times as well. She went through the care directions again, answered all of my questions in detail, and told me to contact her if I had any concerns or questions in the future. This was far and away my best piercing experience and I'd highly recommend them to anyone. Cheers!!! read more

Hi guys, i hate to be the one complaining, however my experience with Extreme Needle tattoo has been horrible, the artist was Aytor. So i emailed them to ask about the tattoo design, how much would it take and how much is it, i told them that the price does not matter and all i care about is quality, they assured so do they. I've then had appointment with Aytor to talk about the design, we agreed to do half dot work, half realistic. Fast forward to the day of appointment for the tattoo, he did the tattoo, and once he asked how is it, I told him that I don't think its good quality, and there's this weird spots in nose part, which he said "thats how tiger's nose looks" which obviously it doesn't, also he said that it will look different once it's not swollen anymore and the redness is gone. Also the appointment took only 3 hours, instead of the whole day as by their words " Come 1pm and be ready to stay pretty much all day" . So i asked the manager if the price(600£) stays the same, and he said yes, and that was fine with me, as i said money isn't what matters to me when doing tattoo. After approx 1 month, i had a look at the tattoo again, and i found even more mistakes, such as assymetry, ear's shape looks more like bears rather than tiger's. So i contacted them and agreed for appointment for Aytor to have a look at it again, at the appoinment he was quite unhappy that i wasn't satisfied with it, as he thought it looks amazing, also he sweared alot. Even in front of the manager, when i was booking appointment the date of touchup. The day of touch up the owner was there, introduced himself and said that we will try to do everything to sort it out.Once the touch up was done, i thought it looked worse than before, told that to Aytor, and he pretty much told me to get out, but first let me wrap you with the film, so you don't accuse me with infecting you aswell. I met the owner outside of the shop, we had a chat with manager and him and he explained about angles, and it made sense. However there were still a lot of mistakes, the nose wasn't fixed as you can see in the pictures, the dot work is very poor, instead of dots, some of them look like little "-". It felt like being rushed, and that's why the quality is poor. I tryed calling the owner, however he didn't pickup, i emailed the manager and he asked when i would be available for phone conversation, i gave 2 days, and was never contacted, then i emailed them again, asking to stick to emails, what i wanted was tattoo removal vouchers, as the tattoo quality is absolutely unacceptable, I'm ashamed to show it to people. They came back with saying they think it's all acceptable. I replied with the list of obvious mistakes, however they didn't even bother replying. read more

Had the most amazing nose piercing with Roni (who is SO funny and lovely). I've never had a piercing before (other than my earlobes as a child) and was really really nervous but she was so amazing and made me feel so at ease. The piercing itself was so quick and easy and she answered all my questions about aftercare with patience. I was recommended to this place by a friend, and boy was it the right place to go. I went to the Leicester Square branch today to get my left nipple pierced, with my housemate who wanted to get her ear done (I'm gonna say it was outer conch, through the cartilage on the outside of her ear about halfway up, but I'm no expert). As it turned out, Roni was the expert. She knows her stuff! She was charming and soothing for both of us - my housemate was more nervous, I was just excited. There was no wait at all (we went on a Saturday afternoon). Neither of us are particularly embellished with piercings, these were our first non-earlobe ones, but the staff were completely welcoming and I didn't feel judged like I have in some other places I've visited in the past. Only one person can go into the piercing room at a time, so I can't speak for my housemate's experience but I can speak for mine. The room was extraordinarily clean and hygienic. I've been working in biological labs with viruses for the last two weeks and Roni's hygiene put lab protocol to shame. Roni made me feel very at ease, marked up the area, continuously checked if I liked the look of everything, and went ahead and did it freehand. It felt like a slight pinch and was over soon. It looked great! I got a lot of information on aftercare. I went for fish and chips in Leicester square slightly sore and very pleased. So pleased in fact, that I went back an hour later to get my other nipple done! They didn't even seem surprised. I was even offered the discounted rate which I would have obtained had I done them as a pair. Roni was super efficient and fantastic again, and I am now thoroughly chuffed and holey. I would recommend Extreme Needle to anybody - clean, professional, friendly, fantastic overall. My pair of piercings was £70 and my housemate's was £30. I was so pleased that I tipped too - and I'm a stingy student! I'm sure I'll be back. read more

I had become so disenchanted trying to find a piercer in London that I felt comfortable with but Angela definitely fits the bill! I will definitely go back for any piercings in the future! I went in yesterday to the Covent Garden studio, I didn't have a booking but I had previously emailed to inform them of what I wanted done, sure enough they managed to slot me in the same day to get my tattoo done. Everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming, Christopher did a phenomenal job on my tattoo, it's exactly what I wanted. The studio was easy to find and incredibly clean and hygienic. The only downside or negative review I would make is regarding how dear their prices are. My tattoo cost me £80 which I find a little extortionate considering it only took 10mins and is one word with no colour or anything. I know good tattoos aren't cheap but it was incredibly pricey for what I got. Overall though, i would definitely recommend the studio to anyone wanting a tattoo and isn't too worried about the price it will cost. read more

I had a nightmare with EN. Went with the intention of getting a Japanese sleeve. My fault for not researching the artist properly. Things started out well but the artist wasn't a Japanese specialist which meant he didn't really understand the flow and design of true Japanese art. He didn't really listen to what I wanted with regards of design or colour, preferring to go with his own choices, made a major mistake on part of the tattoo which couldn't be changed and one day told me he'd "try a new thing" I mean I'm not a guinea pig. 2500 pounds later the tattoo is just okay. Extreme needle are not a specialist studio, just walk in crap for tourists. Avoid and go to a reputable studio. read more

My experience with this salon was not great. I had an appointment for a small tattoo, but ended up waiting for an hour and 45 minutes because the artist was busy working on his walk-in customer with a large tattoo. I know mine was only small and thus not so lucrative for the artist, but what is the point of taking appointments if they prioritise the walk-in customers? Then, because of all the delay, the tattooing session was rushed. After going home and closely examining it, I discovered that the artist did not adhere to the design I brought in; he omitted lines, added lines, changed curved lines into straight lines. I returned to the salon the following day, and asked if it was possible to have it more faithful to my design. The artist then told me The way I did it is better, the original design was not good. I was very saddened by the remark, as the original design meant a lot to me. In the end, the artist agreed to work on the tattoo to make it more alike my design, and told me to come back in 3-4 weeks' time, giving the tattoo the time to heal. When I returned in 4 weeks' time, I was told the artist has gone on holiday and won't be coming back for 5 MONTHS! The salon told me I can ask other artist to work on it, but then that would cost me another £120. At this point I had lost my faith them. I decided to go to a different salon to have the tattoo fixed. Very disappointing experience. read more

I LOVE Extreme Needle. Seriously, After getting pierced at this place I will never go anywhere else again. I've had 6 piercings before finding Extreme needle and the experience I had here made me really second guess anywhere I've been before. I had my smiley pierced, and my boyfriend had his septum pierced with Roni. Amazing piercer!!! She talked us through everything, and then pierced freehand (The BEST way to do it as clamps can stop blood flow and cause bruising) which was virtually pain free! She gave us loads of good aftercare tips too, and we still pop in sometimes just to say hi :) I also went back in to have my smiley bar changed 3 months later and she done it free of charge, I just bought the bar. There isn't a price list on the site but expect to pay between 30-50 quid for most piercings. Give them a ring or drop them an email if you want any more info The whole team is really lovely. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! I went to get my micro dermal piercing changed to a new colour, pink. I had it done at this shop and 2 days later my piercing fell out. Before getting the new diamond, I had my piercing for a year and it has never ever fallen out. And now this has happened it has left me with a small hole in my arm which can easily get infected. So I called them to explain the situation and they told me that they don't care about doing anything about it is as its not their fault!!! I got it done and it fell straight out which means that they DID NOT screw my piercing on correctly. And now I can not find the piercing which means I have to go and buy another! So disappointed! The lady on the phone was extremely rude too! No help at all!! Never received service like this before. read more
