I'd had it pierced a year ago at a well-known piercing…read moreshop in Central London but it had never fully settled, so I thought I'd try somewhere else to change the jewellery (and ask for a second opinion on how the piercing itself was faring). I chose Stotker as it's local to me and had really good reviews. I am *so* glad I came here. The piercer, Edyta, greeted me warmly and took me through to her studio. I'd brought my own stud, an internally threaded labret like the one I'd been pierced with but with a smaller gem. As soon as she saw it, Edyta expressed concern. She advised against wearing a labret in a nose piercing as they are so hard to keep clean, meaning you have to root around with a cotton bud and just keep irritating the piercing. I was so relieved to hear this, as it's exactly what I'd been experiencing - and we had a really good and frank chat about it. She suggested I try a nose screw with a tiny gem and a narrow gauge, explaining why it would be better for me, and I was convinced enough to go for it. She gave me a big selection to choose from. She gently unscrewed my labret (apologising as it was irritated and bled a bit) and inserted the nose screw. Despite the angry bump by my piercing, I was delighted with the dainty gem and felt I *finally* had what I had wanted. Edyta advised saline solution twice a day for two weeks, and guaranteed (with impressive conviction!) that the piercing would finally settle down. A week and a half later, and I can say she was dead right. I am completely thrilled to finally have the beautiful piercing I'd imagined when I'd first decided to get it done, and only wish I'd come to this great local studio in the first place. I've wanted other piercings but my experience with my nose put me off; now I feel curious again and will definitely come here next time :) And a word of wisdom - *don't* get your nose pierced with a labret stud. It's not fun doing saline soaks on a swollen red piercing twice a day for an entire year. Including on holiday. :/

Didn't book an appointment. Walked in around 5pm and was told to come back in 30 minutes. You'll need to leave a cash deposit and keep in mind that it's a cash only business. Make sure you've done the usual pre-piercing checks. No booze beforehand and had a meal reasonably recently. Was a quick process. In and out in about 8 minutes. Everything was clean and neat. Got a little bottle of cleaning solution, piercing, and jewellery for £28. Very fair prices, especially for somewhere so well known. They could easily charge far more but it's run by some decent honest folks who aren't out to run that kind of jam. Solid experience. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Having been pierced in 2 different establishments (hairdressers + gun = FAIL) prior to discovering this little gem I did what anyone would do and get a friend to guinea pig it out first :p Since said sacrifice, I've been to Eclipse for 5 of my piercings and 2 accounts of stretching and have to say that I wouldn't consider going anywhere else. The staff are chilled out, approachable and always willing to spend time with their customers and go over your options to help you get what you want. The studio itself is spacious, an extensive range of jewellery to look at for any type of piercing you could imagine and a whole load of tattoos to gawp at while you wait to be called in. Relaxed vibes, metal music, comfy sofas = win. Piercings are done in a room at the back of the shop. I don't remember names of the people who helped us, but they were able to accommodate all our requests in a very reasonable amount of time! I got my helix pierced and it was quick and relatively painless. I think it cost around £15. The person doing my piercing was patient, talked me through the entire process, and explained aftercare to me thoroughly. I haven't experienced any problems from my piercing and neither has my other friend who got pierced.

Got my seconds done here in December as a walk in. The studio was cluttered and unhygienic with a…read moredog walking around, which should have been my first sign to leave, but I persisted. I said what I had come in for and if they could fit me in and they said yes- I filled out the intake form but they didn't even look at it or sign it themselves, and didn't request to see my ID once. Once I got in the chair I had to ask to be pierced with a needle instead of a gun, which cost me £10 extra. The woman doing my piercing sterilised the needle but didn't sterilise my lobes both times. Since coming back home to Manchester, I've had issues with both but particularly the left ear, which is now infected, despite me doing the correct after care as I have done on my many other piercings. Since going to a piercing studio at home, I've been informed that the jewellery that was used to pierce them is unsuitable and was done far too tight on my ears- I now need to replace the jewellery and I've also now got a horrible infection to deal with on one side! I paid around £50 for bad service. If you're a tourist like I was, don't go to this shop just because it's near everything else in Camden and is convenient.

I've only gotten piercings in the States so I'm not sure about the quality of sanitation in Europe I should be looking for, but I feel like this place was not sanitary enough. The piercing rooms downstairs were a little bit dingy and I don't remember the piercer wiping alcohol on my ear or cleaning the earring before it went in my ear. However, I can't necessarily complain because the piercing was extremely cheap. It was less than £50 for both including the sterling silver earring itself. I will say that I wasn't the biggest fan of the earring because there wasn't much backing to it and so it's quite tight on my ear. Overall, would think twice about coming but if you're looking for something cheap, this place will definitely get the job done.
