Woke up quick right about noon, I knew I had to be in Camden soon. On a trip to London besides getting my passport stamped, I also wanted to get stamped. So a tattoo in Camden Town was a must. After a few emails sent out to different shops, "Hell To Pay" got back to us quickly and professionally. We were able to set up a appointment with a £50 deposit (that goes to the final price of the work) worked out perfect because they were all booked for the day. Clean place and everyone was real cool. I was happy with the results. They made us feel welcome. The work they do is real good. I believe they have Instagram, so check it out for yourself. If ever I'm back in London I'll make sure to visit them again. To all you at "Hell To Pay" thank you very much!

A tattoo to commemorate our trip to the UK the £ sign in 2016

We walked in and was greeted right away! We wanted to get the £ symbol to commemorate our trip to the UK and they did it right away! Found a great handwritten font and was placed perfectly where we already had a charm bracelet started! Highly recommend this place!

Hell yes. I love this place the instant I came in November to discuss my project with the artists. They're all pretty nice and cool. At the time, they recommended me ST and later that year I took an appointment for my first, long awaited, tattoos (yep, two in a row). I was very nervous when I arrived. You can't have a friend with you in the room which in one hand is a good thing so the tattooist can concentrate and so you are not distracted either (you do not want to move while being inked for life). But the ambiance, the artists (mine and the other one tattooing in the room) and the music got me relaxed after a while. It took over an hour to draw the tricky symmetric lines i wanted so that helped getting my nerves back. ST is very professional, talented and precise. I loved her as my tattooist and as a person and I'm already thinking of another piece I want to make with her. My bff came from Paris to get her 11th tattoo by ST the weekend before me and told me the same things. She added (as she can compare) that she was working very fast and that it was impressive. As a matter of fact, i was recommended this shop by a friend who couldn't remember the name but recognized it whan I got the tattoos. And I will recommend it to my fellow tattoo lovers friends as well.

    My first tattoo, completed perfectly!

My artist was Ben, and he was lovely in making me feel comfortable and putting me at ease as I was nervous.

This was my fourth - it just happened to be my first tattoo done by someone other than my regular US guy, Guf. But I knew that if I was getting a tattoo on this trip, it was going to have to be done in London, for the meaning of it all. As I say, I did a lot of research. I corresponded with several shops via e-mail, since we weren't in the UK at the time. The tattoos that we wanted were fairly simple - a band logo, all black, and nothing special or crazy to be done with them. I even sent the shops jpeg copies of the image we wanted, just so they knew. We decided on Diamond Jacks for a few reasons, and planned our one Saturday in London around being at the shop right when they opened, and staying for as long as it'd take to do two small-ish tattoos. We showed up right at 11 am, but the shop was closed up tight. Undeterred, we did a couple quick laps around the neighborhood (kind of sketchy, if you're easily scared off), and the next time we stopped by, the door was open. Up the stairs we went to talk with the first person we came into contact with. We discussed everything we wanted, and he said he could have someone do it that day, but that he had an appointment already. They had us sit down to fill out some paperwork, and I handed over a high quality hard copy of the image in question. Not long afterwards, they came to get us. We were taken upstairs to have our tattoos done at the same-ish time - and I think they were brothers. We never got their names, which kind of annoys me (they didn't introduce themselves, and I didn't think to ask till it was too late), but they were quick and efficient. My version is on my forearm, and is quite small, compared to my husbands (which is on his calf). They went through the whole speech about care and placement and all that, and my guy seemed a bit shocked when I told him that this is my fourth tattoo. I think he may have thought I was fibbing, but I was more than willing to bust out two of the three, at least, to prove it to him. At any rate, he quickly placed the stencil and got me set up, and before I knew it, he was going to town with the needle. It was quick and painless - for both of us - and we were in and out before the hour was up. It was kind of pricey for two small-ish tattoos, but I can't begrudge them that. Overall I'm happy with my tattoo. It looks how I want it to look, and it's not nearly as in-your-face as I was afraid it'd be (all my other tattoos are bright and colorful and cheery, whereas this one is all black). I'm glad we went, and I'm glad we have this permanent reminder of our epic European vacation.

I went tonight without an appointment. I was extremely nervous going into the shop, as I hate needles and I've only had my ears pierced once before, but as soon as I met Roni (who has the most interesting collection of facial tattoos and piercings, and his eyeballs are tattooed black! whew!) I instantly felt better. Roni made the whole process quick and (practically) painless. My wait time was around 20 minutes tops, and it cost £25 for my nose piercing. The atmosphere of the shop was busy busy busy, with loud upbeat music playing and a tattoo machine buzz in the background. After waiting, Roni took me to the back and was calm the whole time, asking me about myself and talking about life in London. It definitely helped relax me, and for that I'm grateful. He was very patient and gave me time to decide exactly where I wanted the stud to be. Everything was clean and sterile. I was done within 10 minutes - Roni really knows his stuff (I think he said he's been in the business for a decade or so?). I would definitely come back here for any other piercings/tattoos.
