I genuinely never leave reviews, but I got three piercings done in one sitting I believe by Molly back in the summertime and I cant express how much time, money, and pain wasted. I got my 3rds & 2nd cartilage done, and I'd say all three were done extremely crooked. I have been waiting for them to heal so I can re-pierce them all correctly but bc of the "jewelry" , which is just metal clamped, it just irritates them constantly and they're not healed yet. read more

Called ahead to get the details on re-piercing my belly button. The girl on the phone was very friendly and I set an appointment for the next day. Upon arrival the first thing i noticed was the smell. It smelled very old and dusty is the best way to describe, as if all the flat surfaces were holding dust. I immediately second guessed getting work done but moved forward cause that was the lobby area and assumed the actual work area would be different. I completed the standard form, she took my DL, and the cash. **NOTE- different price for cash vs card; also the price was different from what I was quoted vs what she said in person by 10 bucks more** Moving forward cause this is something I wanted done today she walked me into a side room off the lobby where the dust was visible, She , Sara which i now know b/c she wrote her name on the form began to rip open the equipment, starts to mark the area. She decided not to use the original hole and create a new one, then as I lay on the table she changed her mind. Her out loud back and forth gave me pause to continue, She ultimately went in through the original hole as requested and was very fast and the pain was minimal. We used the jewelry they provided cause if they used what I bought she would have charged me more. Overall a fair experience at best. Prices were lower than other places but I see why. I got my ear pierced by a rival tattoo shop. That person did a nice, clean job, but it was crooked. I let that hole close and talked to Dan about it. He repierced my ear and it's perfect. I had a great experience here just yesterday. I came in for the first time because I was recommended by a coworker and was a little nervous after seeing reading some reviews. I had emailed them asking if they were able to do my specific tattoo and was assured they could do it and got me in the next day. The girls at the counter were nice and informative they made me feel comfortable and relaxed as I was waiting to meet my artist. Dave came out with a genuine smile and a warm greeting as we headed to the room to see the stencil. During the entire session we had a great conversation and he was a really great guy. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! The little snot at the front desk needs to learn some manners and management needs to fire her. They just lost a customer because of her nasty attitude. I originally called up and wanted to talk to the woman whose work I liked better on their website. She told me to email my art and she would take a look and get back to me to make an appointment and/or with any questions. 4 days pass and I don't hear a word. Not an automatic email reply, NOTHING. So I call up to see if they got my email and to see if she got it and the girl at the desk said, "oh I don't know if we got it or not, she has been very busy the past few days, resend it again. It's not like we are sitting around waiting to get an email." Wow, really? I could have been getting a tattoo that was hundreds of dollars but guess what, I will take my business elsewhere. Literally worst experience ever. If I could give no stars I would. I came in here a couple months ago for my first tattoo ever. I told the lady I wanted a palm tree. She had a real sarcastic attitude. All the workers in there seem to just be in shitty moods. She kept printing out different palm trees. We agreed on one. She was not being sensitive to the fact that this was my first tattoo. She laid the stencil on my skin and I noticed it was way too shaded in. And I specifically told her I did not want it shade it in. Her response was " of course I'm not gonna shade it in silly " when it was finished it was the worst thing I have ever seen. I cried. I went here with my cousin to get spider bite piercings. Overall I think they over charged me, and I wasn't made to feel too comfortable. We had Sarah as our piercer that day, and she was quite unprofessional and not really warm. First off, one of the piercings are crooked and way higher than the dots that were placed before the piercing started. The process of the needle going though was so slow it was excruciating and I had to ask for extra clean up since I was bleeding so much after getting them done. (I've had several other facial piercings and never had a bleeding or swelling issue) She also gave no warning as to when the piercing would be occurring, in every piercing I've had, I've been told to take a deep breath in and upon exhale they would do the piercing. Sarah didn't say a word and at her discretion slowly pushed the needle through. Overall will not be going back to this location for piercings. read more

I took my daughter there to get her belly button pierced. When we got home it looked crooked, And inspecting it a little bit closer it was not centered. The mark the girl made was, but the end result was not good. My daughter was so upset she wound up taking it out on her own and we never went back and we will never go back. recently got my nipples pierced here and Molly was so comforting! I was extremely nervous walking in but was able to get both of them done very quickly. I was helped as soon as I walked in the door and Molly gave me helpful tips and advice for aftercare. i was there for maybe a total of 30 minutes most of it filling out the paperwork. the price of 65 for both piercings was definitely something in my price range. I have been to Tattoo 46 for a cartilage piercing and more recently a few lobe piercings. Every person I have spoken to on the phone, been greeted by or pierced by has been friendly and professional. My cartilage piercing healed quickly and perfectly - when I had an issue with the earring getting caught on my brush (shudder) they helped me change the jewelry out to something more comfortable that would not interfere with healing. So, when I decided my ears looked a bit empty, I didn't even consider going anywhere else! Sara helped me out today with 3 lobe piercings - she took her time talking through the placement with me and when I suggested placements that would be problematic she told me exactly WHY it was problematic. This is the reason that you go to a professional for a piercing, not to a teenager in a mall stand with a piercing gun - Sara made sure that I would be happy with the way my piercings looked and that they would not cause problems for me and that they would look great whether they stayed as is or I added more piercings. The tattoo/piercing rooms are clean, well lit and comfortable, Sara gave me great advice on aftercare and made sure I had her card in case I had any questions or issues. Tattoo 46 is a great place to get a piercing - it was recommended to me when I was looking for a place for my cartilage piercing and I heartily recommend Tattoo 46 to anyone looking for a piercing! read more

I have been here 2 times, both were great! I went with a friend in November to get my nose pierced (30 dollars) and Sara helped me to find the correct placement and made it easy and quick, then directed me on how to clean and care for the new piercing. After a few months I went back to see if they would be willing to change it to a hoop for me and they did, the man that helped me didn't just shove any hoop into my nose he held it up to my face to help find the right size for me then picked out a clean sterilized one to put in. I had no issues with infection at all. Then last night I got my Diath piercing done here by Sara again and no issues and I am very happy with it! This is by far the worst tattoo parlor I have ever been to. I recently went in for a tattoo on my forearm and after a month the tattoo is fading. I do not have old skin considering in in my 20s so that shouldn't be the problem also it's a black tattoo with no color so that shouldn't be the problem either . I called to see if someone can fix the poor work that was done and I received poor customer service and another excuse as to why I should pay AGAIN to fix it. Worst business in dover. My friend loves getting her piercings here, she talks about Dan very highly. She came with me to get my anti tragus and Sarah pierced me. She did not pierce what I wanted, she dotted it and pierced below the marked dot. I went back the same day and said this is my first piercing I do not like, I have over 16. She said give it some time, once the swelling goes down I will like it and if not she "will remember me" and take it out. I recently went back, about 6 weeks later, wanted the earring changed to hoop. She wouldn't change it and of course she didn't remember me. I just took the piercing out myself, so it was a waste of $30. I've never been unhappy with a piercing and my friend had the exact piercing I wanted and the fact how different it looked really bothered me. I wouldn't go back here, at least to Sarah, maybe I would try Dan but whenever I seem to pop in he is never there or I just don't get his service when I go in. read more

i really wish it gave the option to choose 0 stars. I came here with two other of my friends to get our nipples pierced and it was done so unprofessionally by Sara. All of us got our piercings placed too far back. I went back the next day about my concerns of it being pierced incorrectly and she dismissed and invalidated all of my concerns. They had the audacity to claim that it was "so strange" that all three of us had the same issue, maybe this wouldn't have been a problem if they hired piercers with the right skills and professionalism. It was clear that the owner of the store, Dan, did not want to deal with our concerns and I found that so disrespectful considering he is the one responsible for hiring his employees. Thankfully I was able to get the money I paid for them back, but I do not recommend going to this place for these piercings!! Nipple piercings should never ever ever have to go through your areola regardless of size, if people with INVERTED nipples are able to get this piercing, then there's no excuse. please do your research and don't let Sara pierce you!!! read more

I do not know how they are still in business. Most of the employees come off as unprofessional. I have had about 4 piercings done here and two they have had to repierce or change the jewelry too at a later date because they didn't have the correct jewelry at the onset of piercing. I have had two tattoos done here. Both are small and simple. One healed well, the other isn't symmetrical. read more

I got my industrial done here and the place was super clean and everyone I interacted with was pleasant. When a week later I got keloid scars on my ear (not something you can prevent, it's genetic) they replaced the bar for a longer one for free. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I have had 5 tattoos done here and 2 of them look alright. The other 3 look like shit. 2 done by Molly, both of which look AWFUL, the red in one has fallen out and the line work is jacked up. And the other has faded and looks 20 years old. Sara did the other, it is awful, a simple anchor was too tall a task for her I guess. She blew out the lines and made it too dark. Jim did the other two and they have healed fine, overall, I would say to never get tattooed here. Unprofessional and rude! Got my snake eyes there and they gave me way too small of a bar! Went back two days later to have the bar changed and they put in an even smaller bar to the point where my balls were sinking into my tongue. Went to another local tattoo artist who told me they pierced it in the wrong spot so I would either have too small of a bar or a bar that I would break a tooth on.
