Here we go: Entrée: Monster Munch, Salt and Vinegar Discos, Squares Crisps, Spicy Nik-Naks, Wheat Crunchies. (NEXT!) (Belch!) Petit Fours: After Eight Mints (Groan...). If you were born in the Mother Land and have sugar issues, this is your place. Either show discipline and turn up with $10 in coins and pretend you're enjoying a slightly inflated re-inaction of your visit to the corner shop as a kid OR take the credit card and buy a three figured amount of calorific nostalgia and promise yourself you won't eat it all in a week. If you're a fish crisp connoisseur then this is the place for you: Walkers Prawn Cocktail, Skips or Scampi Fries (which actually smell like Gents toilets but taste great!). You can buy online too!

Screw your markets and bazaars with their aromas of herbs and spices, nothing awakens the senses like the playful crinkle of a monster munch packet or the shine in your eye when the sun catches off the packaging of a Capri Sun (The only place I have found in Australia that stocks them FYI). Expect a friendly greeting from the Welsh lady who's on the counter and get lost in the selection of stuff you'd forgotten you'd missed. Apart from Taste Ireland, which I have also reviewed there is nowhere that I have come across that has as much selection as these guys. While it is mostly sweets and confectionery there is a huge selection of grocery items available too. You name it they pretty much have it. from washing up liquids, to powders, sauces, stuffing, cordials, soft drinks and football merchandise as well. The selection is absolutely massive. if you're missing home and some of your favorite grub pop in and see these guys. It'll be money and time well spent. If you can't make it into the city, they do online ordering too.

"Jolly good sweets, lollies, candy, chocolates and food from everywhere"…read more "Uk, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, Latin American Scandinavia, USA" I'm not sure they have enough produce in store to have come from all those places. The store's looking a little bit sparse at the moment, which gives you a little bit of a sad feeling as you walk in. There a nice lady at the counter to help you out, but there just isn't a lot there to need help with. What is there looks great, but I suppose it's expected that a lolly shop is stacked up to the roof with deliciousness!! You know, to bring you all that excitement of feeling surrounded by sugar. Like a kid in a candy shop. And that's not exactly the feeling you get. The wow and wonder is lacking a little. There is still a lot to of things to try for the Average Australian, who wouldn't see a lot of this in the super market. These places can be a bit of an adventure, trying new things you've never heard of. I guess in this case you'll just have a shorter adventure. The store has potential, if it were only filled out a bit more! If you're going past, its still well worth a drop in. Especially if you're a sugar addict, like me.

Perhaps they're not quite sure whether they are candy store or foreign goods specialist, because in behind the window dressing is an eclectic collection of sweet and savoury goods from all over the place. Well, perhaps from just a few different places, because the shelves are currently a bit sparse. That said, I was drawn to pick up two cans of Heinz soup in a British flavour that is not available here, and my friend could not resist a can of bubbly New Zealand soft drink that she grew up on. The idea is right - hey, barely a single accent in Manly is Australian - but they do need to pick up those stock levels. Apparently a website is going to be launched shortly, and maybe with that they'll up the ante and even take on ordering on request. Now that would be good!

I saw clips of…read morethem pouring the melted candy, stretching them into sticks, and a bunch of designs they can do with it. I knew I had to check them out when coming to Sydney. They're located in The Rocks shopping area which is close to the Harbor Bridge. I was lucky enough to get a glimpse of the workers choppin' up the candy sticks. There are a wide range of flavaflavs to choose from such as apple, blackberry, banana, citrus mix and hella much more. They also have themed candies aka lollies like Harry Potter, Peter rabbit, Marvel and a few others. All candy comes prepackaged in a resealable pouch. I chose the lime koala, Studio Ghilbli mix, passion fruit and the Peter Rabbit. The koalas and the passionfruit were my favorites! They tasted exactly like lime and passionfruit and I loved the design on them. It was difficult figuring out what flavors the themed ones were but the lollies were still tasty and cute. Overall, these lollies were tasty and reasonably priced (7AUS=4.67USD). They made a great souvenirs for my friends and coworkers. I would definitely come back here when in Sydney to try more of their other lollies and watch them do their thang!
