I asked for parchment paper and it arrived by the following week. Great little local community store with excellent prices on organic produce. I've calculated it several times, for the same products I buy every week, at East West Market, if I bought them at SaveOn, it would cost me and average of $100 more at SaveOn. I like to save money when ever I can - why pay more? So I highly recommend dropping in to East West Market, a couple of doors south of Trendy Bucks on Main Street, Vancouver, BC and support your local businesses.

With it being so popular, it can get a bit crowded regarding people and parking. It's a common spot to visit and I can definitely see why! There are a ton of food options, small shops, drinks, and random entertainment. While walking through, we saw a magician and an acoustic guitar performer. A lot of the shops we stopped at had quick and efficient service, they must be used to the crowds. My only regret was not being able to fit all of the different foods I wanted to try! If you're visiting with a small party or have a small appetite, definitely look up the different options prior to selecting something. (:

Now before you go crazy it's not a ladies of the night flesh market but a man's meat heaven. I mean a line of charcuterie cups filled with amazing selections of cured meats to go. Hands down some of the best product placement advertising I've ever witnessed. Ok, for those who love things that previously had faces for your own consumption you'll love this place. Now I didn't grab some of the chorizo bites yet I sure will on my next visit through the Granville market. Everything looked so tasty and wanted it all to get in my belly. So many meat options my head swirled around like a case of vertigo. Now I would suggest an extra stop at another place name Zara's Italian Deli. Upon locating grab some Mediterranean Olives mix cause it's the essential pairing with the flesh grab... I only wish I had a bottle of wine but defiantly and bottle of water is needed.

The sale prices here are quite good, and the quality of the good fruits and veggies here blows away what you'll find at the big grocery chains (but they do still have rotten stuff, so you'll need to pick through what they have to get the good stuff, just like anywhere else).
