Hot, Delicious and Fast Service!…read more SKYWAY FAMILY RESTAURANT located at 4941 50 Street, Camrose, AB T4V 0S5, provides excellent fresh food with a very large menu consisting of Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese and even some western dishes that works to fit strict vegetarian to carnivores ;-) Recent renovations have made it a bright welcoming environment with friendly, helpful staff (who remember our favourite orders and even the twins (5) names!). They can provide ordering advice and fast service delivering steaming hot dishes to tantalize your taste buds. I love the war wonton soup (Warning: it's a serving to share) and the Satay Chicken with Mango Salad and Cashew nuts- awesome!! I'm not a big "spicy" person but try some Kung Pao Chicken and ask for mild, they are very willing to adjust the heat factor. My only concern is that the bathroom is down a very narrow stairway to the basement and last time I used it, it was very dated (but tidy). I also wonder if the restaurant is wheelchair accessible as I've never seen anyone there in one. Fresh food, large servings and decent prices will have you coming back again and again!

A lovely family run gem - bright, clean, spacious washrooms room boot! The lady that served us runs the business with her husband. She shared with us that she is Chinese and that her husband took special interest to Thai cooking - hence the very diverse menu. We tried wonton soup (homemade - the medium was filled with veggies galore), shrimp Salad rolls (my least favourite item here), beef vermicelli bowl (hot with the kiddos), green onion cake, Spicy Thai Basil Noodle (decent but could've used more flavor), and Grilled lemongrass shrimp on mango salad (outstanding). We will 100% come here again if looking for a place to stop in Camrose. Next time I'd like to try some of their curries but then won ton soup and mango salad will be a definite repeat!

I had seen numerous restaurants but never had tried the food. Walk in the door and it is BUSY. I waited in line and had time to look at the menu to see what I wanted to eat. My eyes kept coming back to the Pad Thai. My turn to order, and that's what I got. Went and sat at the bar and watched the busy cooks (or wok runners) prepare my food. The kitchen area has extremely bright fluorescent lights above it. This kind of spoils the whole atmosphere. There are Edison bulbs hanging in the eating area but the kitchen lights are so bright, you don't notice. The kitchen is not enclosed so it makes the whole restaurant rather noisy and makes conversation challenging. Finally my food was ready. A female sprinkled green onions on top and instantly regretted it because I had requested "no onions please" She did her best to remove them with tongs, but I assured her it was just a preference I had, not an allergy. The Pad Thai with chicken and rice noodles was a great feast. I squirted Sriracha on top but I doubt I would have needed it. The flavour was nice and spicy without. I enjoyed my Wok Box experience and recommend you give it a try!

So good I had to order another for later…read more The banh mi is a Vietnamese style sub. Theirs is perfect here. Literally perfect. Slightly toasted baguette slathered with pate and mayo and LOADED with your chosen toppings. And at $8.95 for a cold cuts sandwich (well worth the extra $1.50 for slivered jalapeño), it's maximum value too. Best bread. Best ingredients. Best price. And on the Southside too, where I live. Seriously? I'm so glad I found this place. Got a Vietnamese iced coffee and it was awesome. Then I got another to go. With that, I added the mango salad sampler. It's fresh and tasty, but a big awkward. Like it's missing something. Maybe some lettuce? I dunno. I might not get that again. I repeat though, it was tasty, just not worth I think. There's a ton more on the menu. And based on the banh mi, I bet it's all made fresh. I'm probably coming back tomorrow. Good job folks!!!

In terms of food, I tried their Five-Colour Bowl (Beef, Chicken, Pork, Tofu, Prawn) with Coconut rice. Everything tasted fairly nice given that it was cold, but I find it slightly hard to justify the price given the portion...so I'd give it 7/10

My wife's friend actually made a reservation at the start of the week since this was a rather popular Thai restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious. It's truly one of the very best Thai restaurants we've ever been to (definitely the best out of the ones we've tried in various trips to Canada). All the dishes were ordered were quite good. My favorite was the Spicy Basil Eggplant tofu dish. It was seasoned to perfection and the eggplant was somehow not mushy like the majority of the time at other restaurants. The only dish that was only "ok" was the drunken noodles. I think the sauce could've been a tad more spicy for my tastes. For dessert, the Thai Tea Tiramisu was quite good. It really tastes like the Thai Iced Tea drink that I had at this restaurant. The service by the staff was superb as well. Overall, this restaurant is a must visit when in the Edmonton area!

I ordered the panang curry with tofu and a side of coconut rice. The curry was spicy and flavourful, and filled with colourful vegetables. The texture and flavour of the coconut rice was perfect. Red Deer has a handful of great local restaurants and this is one of them. We found the restaurant last year and I have been back 3-4 times since and have never been disappointed. The restaurant is kinda hidden as it is off the main streets of Red Deer in a commercial area but don't let this turn you away. The food and portion sizes are great, service is friendly and all for about $15-20. The decor is pretty plain and its very casual, but if you haven't tried Blue Dragon, I highly recommend it.

You wouldn't expect a restaurant such as this to be in an Industrial area, but here we are, or rather there we were. The interior is what you would expect in a warehouse type environment, but they did what they could. Our server was great and took very good care of us while we were there. The food was pretty good, but not excellent, which it has to be to get that extra star. My Dragon bowl was quite good, but lacked that real impact in spite of the additions I added. The lovely K had the lemongrass chicken curry, which didn't appeal to her. We would return, but probably for lunch only.
