I had seen numerous restaurants but never had tried the food. Walk in the door and it is BUSY. I waited in line and had time to look at the menu to see what I wanted to eat. My eyes kept coming back to the Pad Thai. My turn to order, and that's what I got. Went and sat at the bar and watched the busy cooks (or wok runners) prepare my food. The kitchen area has extremely bright fluorescent lights above it. This kind of spoils the whole atmosphere. There are Edison bulbs hanging in the eating area but the kitchen lights are so bright, you don't notice. The kitchen is not enclosed so it makes the whole restaurant rather noisy and makes conversation challenging. Finally my food was ready. A female sprinkled green onions on top and instantly regretted it because I had requested "no onions please" She did her best to remove them with tongs, but I assured her it was just a preference I had, not an allergy. The Pad Thai with chicken and rice noodles was a great feast. I squirted Sriracha on top but I doubt I would have needed it. The flavour was nice and spicy without. Our server was able to articulate the specials and entice us to try the mango salmon roll which was smoky, creamy and tropical. Sushi tasted fresh as we also ordered the salmon sashimi. Watching the sushi chefs interact with each other and have fun while preparing such meticulous meals was entertaining and mouthwatering. My absolute favourite dish was the Rock Shrimp Tempura in a creamy spicy garlic chili sauce. These were perfectly cooked and the prawns were huge and juicy...came with a hearty salad underneath them too. The dim sum deserves a shout-out as well. As my friend and I had plans in Leduc I figured it would be nice to stop here for dinner. I like how their booths are all private. There is a call button in the booth so that you can ring them anytime you need service. They also have the wifi password taped onto the wall in the both. The service was very prompt as soon as we pressed the button someone arrived within 1 minute. The staff was very kind and attentive. The restaurant wasn't very busy for a Saturday night which was kind of nice. They have a pretty decent sized menu with a variety of options. I love how they have photos of each roll and list which rolls are fully cooked and which ones aren't. We ordered the sexy mexican roll, volcano roll, and the scallop extravaganza. All were delicious! The fish was very fresh as was the rice. Each roll was a good size and packed with flavour. The price was pretty on par with all sushi places.
