An ad for this had come up on my instagram a few months ago. I had bookmarked this to try out one of these days as the food looked good and I also heard good things about it. As my friend and I had plans in Leduc I figured it would be nice to stop here for dinner. I like how their booths are all private. There is a call button in the booth so that you can ring them anytime you need service. They also have the wifi password taped onto the wall in the both. The service was very prompt as soon as we pressed the button someone arrived within 1 minute. The staff was very kind and attentive. The restaurant wasn't very busy for a Saturday night which was kind of nice. They have a pretty decent sized menu with a variety of options. I love how they have photos of each roll and list which rolls are fully cooked and which ones aren't. We ordered the sexy mexican roll, volcano roll, and the scallop extravaganza. All were delicious! The fish was very fresh as was the rice. Each roll was a good size and packed with flavour. The price was pretty on par with all sushi places. Although I didn't order this, the tempura pieces were massive from the orders I saw that went out. This is definitely a place I'll become a regular at. They have two locations (Edmonton south and Leduc)

My only critique is that the tempura batter was horrible on both the assorted vegetables and the calamari. Rolls were really tasty. We choe the Spider Roll, Tuski summer roll, spicy crunch roll and the unagi roll. Everything was fresh and tasty. The real standouts were the spicy crunch roll which was awesome with the spicy crisp coating it and the generous portion of squid leg in it. We also loved the massive summer roll. It was stuffed with crab. I would certainly eat here again. They were also quick with our take out and super friendly.

The restaurant had a bunch of nice looking hanging lights but none of them were on/working, and the fluorescents really killed the atmosphere, sadly. The service was pretty great; they met us at the door, gave us a big table in a separate room of our own, and provided us with menus and an ordering sheet. She didn't tell us how to order, but we are all sushi pros. Perhaps in a small town being the only sushi place, they should explain to folks how to use the order sheet when you come in. We placed our drink order, tea for all, and it came fast and tasty. We ordered a lot on the menu, which may have stressed the kitchen a bit for the first customers of the day! The miso soup took a long time to show up and it was lukewarm and not salty enough, but not bad with a touch of soy added to it. My pal got a seaweed salad which was yummy, but oddly served with ranch dressing, which does not compliment seaweed at all. After a bit of a wait, all the sushi arrived, beautiful plated and very yummy. We quickly gobbled down the meal and were satisfied and full. All in all, this isn't the world's best sushi restaurant, but it does a good enough job that I'll go back next time I'm in Stettler. If you're in the area, I say it's a tasty bang for your buck!

Formerly Sushi Joe's (but had never come here before). You might drive past it thinking it's an older house or roadside motel but you'd be mistaken and super sad to miss out on this place! Spacious inside with a variety of seating! Clean and bright (despite the torrential hailstorm and water leaking in through the doorjam/roof - think monster storm!). The staff quickly mopped up water, put ip a wet floor sign, and didn't miss a beat. Our kids ordered the beef teriyaki and loved the flavours but we're admittedly disappointed there wasn't more beef on the platters. I loved the veggies served underneath and the fish also came with a small bowl of white rice with sesame seeds on top. Both kids noted that they wished there was more sauce or a side of sauce to have on the rice and I think this would be a good addition. Hubs and I shared tempura Udon (excellent - broth was perfection), TNT (not spicy despite the description but still yummy), and paradise roll (love the mango/smoked salmon combo). It was our daughter's birthday so we celebrated with deep fried banana and ice cream - it was delicious but I was surprised to find out it was $10.95 when the bill came. I didn't see desserts listed anywhere on the menu for pricing. We would absolutely come here again!
