I deal with a lot of vendors and I knew my same-day request (on a Saturday no less) would probably be met with cranky "not possible in the timeline" responses. Instead, I met Jolene on the other end of the phone. What a warm and positive person! She immediately took on my problems with grace and alacrity. She not only solved the heaters and blanket asks but also added so many details that I would never have thought of. Baskets to hold the blankets. Blankets tied with twine. Additional black napkins in case someone was wearing a dark outfit. Found local wines and beers. Just extremely thoughtful in everything she did. My event was not big or expensive. She receives all kinds of gifts from bands, rentals and even flower shops in the form of paid trips and actual cash. She receives massive kickbacks from her rental company that she keeps rather than giving that discount to her clients. The volume of unethical behavior from this company is insane and I'm so glad I found all of this out prior to booking my wedding with her. My advice, find a company that understands ethical business practices and book with them. Because with Heather, you'll pay her $25k for rentals and she'll walk away with $5k of it for her own pocket. But, she will try and charge you a percentage of the cost of the entire wedding as her fee while increasing the costs of these vendors to double dip. I bet if you ask any of the people that used her services listed on this website, they'll all tell you that budgets were blown way out of proportion because that's just how it is. Nope! You paid for Heather to live in Boulder and pretend like a big shot around town. If I were any of you, I would demand my money back. To people looking to book with this company, beware, you will pay a hefty overage just to support the owner. Find anyone else and make sure they don't have "preferred" vendors as she likes to state.

We were planning a Colorado wedding from…read moreGermany, and only had a couple of chances to meet any of our wedding vendors in person, so we were going to be totally depended on our wedding planner to taker care of a lot of things we wouldn't be there to see ourselves. From the first meeting, we knew we were in good hands. Nicole has incredible creativity, a beautiful way of designing for the uniqueness of her couples, great experience, a terrific local network, and is very direct about what to expect throughout the process. She was able to spot that we had been off with our initial estimate on overall costs, then broke everything down with tons of direct talk about where expenses would be generated, where we could save, and where we wouldn't want to save. In the end, her initial estimate was almost exactly what we ended up paying. Once we started working with her, she was brilliant about making a balance between taking the initiative and asking us for guidance. We always had trust in who she connected us with (she works with a network of total pros), and she made the entire process completely transparent, so we could keep an eye on what we needed to do, but also see what we didn't need to worry about. This was the only way that working together from a distance, and only meeting a couple of times in person was possible. Our wedding was on a family member's property, and Nicole was very skilled at pushing through our agreed vision for the wedding, but without ever stepping on any toes - she's a skilled diplomat. Regarding the wedding design, we we bringing together several cultures in the wedding - Hawaiian, Russian, German, and Coloradan. She was able to blend all of these into a seamless whole that totally reflected our identities in ways tasteful, fun, and surprising. All of our guests and families felt this terrific combination of style and identity that Nicole was able to orchestrate. On the day, she was absolutely a dream to work with. Attentive and in control, but without being overbearing, she was on top of every transition and important moment, but never taking the limelight. She's a true professional's professional. Overall, we were so lucky to work with Nicole, and I can highly recommend her to anyone who wants their wedding to be a true representation of who they are as a couple, and at the same time a totally professional production that they can simply celebrate with the people they love without worries. Simply put, Nicole was everything we never even knew that we wanted or needed in a wedding planner.
