Great guy with a heavy English accent and a Dutch bar. The burger was actually quite tasty. The french fries were excellent with ketchup and mayonnaise being served on a plate so I didn't even have to ask for either one. You have to love a Moretti Italian beer Add that the fact I was able to watch a tennis match relax get ready for the big trip over the ocean. Highly recommend the spot as a quick stop before you board your plane. read more

Had a great time! Coffee was weak. Never got the Gouda cheese for my croissant. But the food was good enough, actually very enjoyable. Enough local choices. Burgers looked good. I asked about local drinks And was suggested Heineken. Bitterballen, fried meat containing balls didn't have much meat. mustard was ok. Still a comfortable place to sit. Although I sat at the bar and didn't want an alcoholic drink so ai was moved to a table. This place lets you shot out the airport and take a break. read more

My friend and I were at the airport and decided to grab a bite before our flight. I ordered the Fish and Chips. It was nicely presented on my plate. The fillet was thinly battered and not too overdone. You could actually taste the fish whereas at other places you mainly just taste the batter. The fries were thick. They cook with fresh ingredients. Service was ok to me. Had to flag her down to get our check. Love the decor. There were plants hanging from the ceiling. There is also a bar. It was one of the biggest restaurants I have seen in an airport. read more

Dave and the morning staff are some of the swiftest workers I've seen around. They flow together and demolish the never ending lines that the Amsterdam Airport provides. At the same time the quality of service is like the chaos doesn't even effect them. Great product knowledge and was taught history of the local beers. As with any airport dining establishment, you'll pay far more than you should for anything on the menu. My ham & cheese croissant was hot and tasty on the outside but a little tepid on the inside. When I told the old man serving to get a fresher juice, he said he had made it today and that it was too healthy for me. Rude service, lying staff and bad drink. read more

My layover at the Amsterdam airport was 3.5 hours and I chose to grab a seat here. Service was non existent, and when I finally did get someones attention, I placed an order for a burger and a beer. I kept having to ask when I was going to get my beer. My beer came but only after inquiring multiple times. The restaurant was not very busy and the staff that I did see appeared scrambled, all over the place but no place. I can't tell you how the burger was, it never came. Came here during a layover on our way home to the US from a 10-day trip traveling through Europe. So, needless to say, we were FREAKIN' TIRED and hangry and grumpy. We sat at the bar and I'm so glad we did. The bartender was super animated, nice, and silly. He had that very charming combination of being both snarky and genuine that cheered us right up. We got bitterballen, fries, and a club sandwich (open-faced, fork & knifer). The bitterballen were as good as I'd had elsewhere in Amsterdam (during an earlier part of our trip). Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The club was HUGE and served open faced. You have to fork and knife that sucker. But it was filling and fresh. The fries were okay, but fine in a pinch. To be honest though, the best part was just sitting at the bar, chatting it up w/ the bartender and two other Americans also waiting for their flights (one of whom was on our flight and ended up with us in a 2 hour line at customs back home in DC, but I digress). This is a nice cozy spot in the Amsterdam airport food area. It wasn't too packed when i got there and they had really comfortable seating. I felt very relaxed in there after getting of my 10 hr flight. Its self seating and the staff comes to take your order. They weren't too flexible with mixing up things for me but the waitress was patient enough to wait as I decided on what i wanted. I ended up getting the English breakfast. Not sure what I was expecting but the food was just okay. read more

The restaurant got this kinda retro garage look, which is really nice. The staff is friendly, attentive and fast. I got a smoked chicken salad and a regional Dutch beer. The salad came with 2 half slices of bread and Dutch butter and the salad was huge and very tasty, chicken, salad, apple, cabbage and some nice vinegar. In short; just yummy. One of the worst burgers recently. The bar itself is nice but food was disappointing and very expensive. The beef tasted more like sausage or maybe one of these future lab-grown meats, with preservatives and/or modifiers inside. So it didn't help that they market it as "local beef" and even tell you the farmers name - it just tastes off. Rest of burger was fine but what's a burger without proper beef! read more

Great airport food! Who doesn't want a decent meal before jumping on an eight hour flight? The server charged me incorrectly and was a bit slow but other than that the food was delicious. Very clean and the chefs actually looked like professional chefs practicing their crafts. read more

Stopped in on my way back to North America with my spouse. We wanted a drink and some light fare. No service at the bar-side tables which is understandable, but those tables were dirty while the wait staff for the almost-vacant dining area stood around chatting. When my wife approached the bar and asked if we should order there, the dutch bartender replied, "Yes, milady." When she asked for a café au lait and asked if she might have it made with soy milk, he began mansplaining to her how they don't use soy milk because "soy is ruining the environment." This is a country of cows and cheese! After he's finished his lecture, she (whose father is a soybean farmer) explained how she was lactose-intolerant and couldn't have regular milk. He couldn't care less. We left at that point to avoid further condescension, and were sad to have to go around the corner to Starbucks which had both soy, oat, and almond milk. read more

The server is extremely unfriendly! No free water! Even tap water will charge! I ordered a burger and it's just so so. Can't believe that the price is so high and the service is so bad. Don't waste your money in this restaurant! read more
