Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me three or four times... lose my custom for good.
I used to love the food at Tastebudz, whether it was as a munch after the pub, or for dinner, they were always really good at getting a generous sized meal which you could happily eat that night and store in the fridge and finish it the next day.
The staff admittedly are nice and very polite. But that is not enough to run a business.
Over the past few years they have declined in both quality and service, and due to how good they were in the past, I was willing to give them a few second, second chances.
Let me tell you about the last two orders.
The first was meal set for three people, with a few extra's, it was ordered and was expected within the hour. After waiting almost an hour to the minute, the food was delivered and it was only warm, not hot. The delivery driver asked for £60+ which we gave to him, but after handing it over phoned the restaurant to reconfirm the price, the restaurant reconfirmed that we should have only paid £40+ and sent the delivery driver back to us, who then demanded we only gave him forty and that we were trying to steal his money, the man stood in our hallway outside our door and screamed at us, ruining any chance of enjoying our greasy and frankly bland meal which we had ordered.
I ever the optimist ordered there once again, and while it made it too us in a timely fashion, and having paid by card on a delivery app I used sometimes, there was no problem with the transaction this time. The food was awful, it was oily, bland and in some parts burnt. It tasted of oil and before we had even finished eating, the sauces and the pakora had started to congeal.
I really tried not to stop using this place, but they have done nothing to deserve my custom. Until either some epic reviews about change of food quality, I will not eat from here again.
