This is my first time using a co-work space and I was very happy with this location. Very cozy and charming atmosphere. Generous supply of coffee, tea, and various snacks. I personally am not good with technology and the owner was exceptionally patient helping me connect my laptop to the monitor remotely. I would highly recommend this business and I would come back. Also should be noted. They were open on Black Friday while most of their competitors in the area were closed. I was the only one here and they still allowed me to use the space. read more

I was on my way to my usual coffee shop to work and drop the daily $15 (two cups of Latte and a chocolate chip cookie), when I caught a glimpse of this new addition to my neighborhood. Being the perpetually curious (aka nosy) person I was, I googled it, and realized it was a new co-working space. They were running a promotion - a free day to check out and work at their office space! The phrase "free" was music to this Asian's ears. I got my bum up the stairs so fast, I was out of breath. But I digress. The receptionist, unfazed by my disheveled appearance and barely concealed greed (my first question to her - "Can I really work here for free?"), welcomed me and gave me a tour of the office. Three things I noticed right away: 1. Free, unlimited coffee (Freeeeeeeeeee) 2. A Zen Room (a multipurpose room away from the hustle and bustle of the office that can be used for private phone calls, meditation, and mini power naps) 3. Clean, modern designs that appease the minimalist in me As I settled down at a desk to start my work, I thought to myself how nice it would be to have a space of my own, and not haul my 20 pound bag and laptop from my apartment to a coffee shop everyday. I hadn't considered it before, as office spaces in the city were typically out of my price range, but I noticed that it was only $350 to rent a desk ($12 a day), or if I really wanted to be cheap - $185 for 24/7 access to the space, but no designated desk ($7 a day). Both options were cheaper than what I paid to work at a coffee shop where I also faced the following limitations: 1. Only drink two cups of coffee to save money 2. Take my phone calls outside to ensure privacy (not fun when it was raining or snowing) 3. Grapple with the fear of getting my laptop stolen each time I had to take a bathroom break 4. Deadly glares from baristas who resented me for hogging a table for up to 8 hours a day But what really sealed the deal was this: customer service. Not only did the receptionist treat me with kindness, one of the managing partners dropped by the office, and she worked patiently with me to assess which plan best suited my needs. At no point did she aggressively sell their services. In fact, she even asked me to think about it for a couple days, and that she would be glad to answer questions should they come up. I just sent her an email to put all the wheels in motion, and am so excited to call this space my office! TL;DR: Awesome co-working space in the heart of Philly - free coffee all day, reliable internet, and intriguing conversations. read more

I decided to give this place a go since a friend of mine has been previously. I paid 20$ for a whole day pass from 9am-5pm, which is pretty amazing because they have unlimited coffee (big coffee drinker here). I like the idea of paying for a day-pass to work vs camping out in a coffee shop for the whole day. I usually feel bad/obligated to spend more money. There weren't any judgments there. Qing was super nice and helpful. She gave me a tour when I first arrived, and was always there to answer any questions I had. They have b/w and color printers on site, you pay per copy (amazinggg! no extra trips to staples!). I also found out that I'm able to book their private rooms per hour or day. I will definitely be coming back for another day pass. read more

My colleague and I worked here yesterday, and I have to say it was a pretty impressive co-working space. The space is in a great location, and while it's not huge, it's very well laid out and very well decorated. There's an open co-working space in the middle, and then offices of various member companies around the perimeter. They use a lot of cool techniques for separating spaces but making it feel large -- glass walls, hanging ivy for walls, etc. All the basics were well covered too -- internet was fast, the coffee and tea was free, and there as a fridge, two bathrooms stocked with some amenities, etc. Definitely will be back next time we visit Philly. read more

I found TaskUp by searching on the internet for affordable co-working spaces in Philadelphia. I was beginning a remote Software Engineering program and needed a place where I could focus and keep myself in a productive mindset. TaskUp proved to be even more than what I needed. The staff there are very friendly and go out of their way to make sure that the environment is pleasant, clean, and full of coffee. The space is in a great location, and there is a lot of window space giving you an inspiring view into the city. There are also lots of opportunities to meet other professionals, since you naturally come to meet the people you work around, even if you don't work with them. I was at TaskUp for a couple months, but in the end the commute became a bit much during my online studies--I was commuting from southern New Jersey, via the PATCO. If this were not the case I would certainly still be at TaskUp. I highly recommend this organization and workspace. read more

My co-workers and I were there a couple days ago and we had a very wonderful experience. The location is very great and I like the laid out and decorations inside of the space. They also have a little kitchen and offer coffee and tea. I also really like the vibe where -- it's quiet and people are very respectful. Definitely recommend it and come back again! read more

I am planning to have a shared work place with my friend. This place is beautiful and huge space for multiple purposes rather than just a shared office space. Here is definitely somewhere you can do a network meeting here or client meeting. I look forward to work and study at this place. Pretty cool and creative idea too! read more

I work from home a couple of days a week, and recently decided to look into a co-working space to get out of the house for a change of scenery. I found Task-Up on Google and their website mentioned a promotion for a free day of co-working. I figured there's nothing to lose, so I gave it a shot and I was quite happy with my experience. The layout is very spacious and comfortable, with plenty of large windows to allow natural light in. The wi-fi is stable & fast, and I love that there's free coffee available. I've been much more productive working here than at home, so I now have a monthly pass, which is surprisingly good value for what you get. Highly recommend! read more

I visited this from GetCroissant. I've been using GetCroissant for about a yer now. I love it because it usually introduces me to new, unique, friendly work spaces in the city. However, this space was subpar at best. There was a receptionist who was quite rude to me upon my arrival. When I asked him for the password to the wifi, he asked me to wait for a moment... but, never gave me the password. I had to ask someone that was sitting across from me. In addition to that, the space seems so crowded. There wasn't even anywhere quiet that I could take a call. When I asked one of their employees, he simply told me that if I wanted to book a room, it started at $10 an hour. Never going back, not worth it. read more
