A good place to feed the Tarpons. This is my first time here. I normally go to the other place. You buy a bucket and it has little cut up fish inside. The workers are friendly and helpful. They charge you a fee to use the marina per person plus the bucket of fish if you want to feed them. Then you go to the marina behind them and feed them. They have large Tarpons. The fish will jump. It is a cool experience feeding them and a little scary because of there large size but worth doing. The experience is not expensive but it is addictive. There are Pelicans at the marina and they are not afraid of people to my surprise. They just walk around the people like nothing, no fear. They are cute and want to be fed too. You are not supposed feed them. They can get aggressive. I had a great time taking pictures. They have places to wash your hands all around and hand sanitizers. I for one am so glad they did. The place is near a restaurant and a bar. There are other things to do here. This marina is located at a great location.

I am glad that my hand still intact after feeding the live tarpon in the wild :). This is a good dare devil act to try. Robbie feeding the tarpon place is unique and a must visit place in Keys. It located at mile marker 77 at Islamorada Island. It just located west of the bridge at Lower Matecumbe Key. The sign will show you where the feeding will be. A bucket of fish for feeding is $3.17. Walk at the dock to see is $1 per person. It is a good fun less than $6 per couple. A few rules that must watch out. 1. Never put any part of your body in the water. 2. Never try to feed the pelicans, they bite. I walk over the dock and many tarpons swim below. It range from 3 feet to 5 feet long. The tarpon do not have teeth. It bite but will not get hurt. You grab the tail of fish bait and dip slightly in the water and leave it 3inches to 6 inches above the water. The excitement come when they get out of the water and snatch the fish from your hand. Sometimes their mouth touch your hand which make this exciting. It is an incredible experience to feed the tarpon out of the wild. It was a great fun.

This is a cool pit stop in Islamorada where you can hand feed the tarpon for a cheap $3 for a bucket of fish. I also saw a sting ray, nurse shark, and other cool tropical fish. Now these tarpon are HUGE and rightfully so they get hand fed all day and there are so many of them it's amazing. If you are daring enough you can dangle the fish over the water close to the tarpon and they will jump out of the water for the bait. The first time I did it, it made me shriek like a little girl LOL and then laugh uncontrollably, so this is fun for all ages haha! There are also little shops with jewelry, clothes, and other key west souvenir stuff. You can rent wave runners and also grab a bite to eat at the onsite restaurant. The parking is free and it is a fun and cheap stop to do something unique in the keys.

This was incredibly fun! We were suggested by Dave at concierge in amara cay to come here and do tarpon feeding. For $5 you get 2 admissions and a bucket of fish to throw at the tarpon. There's tons of them and also other wildlife like Pelicans and herons. We had a great experience and after it started raining we ran in to the bar, and watched the storm. Def an awesome thing to do rain or shine! Def recommend it esp if you have kids they'll be delighted!

This place was one of my favorite stops on our trip through the keys. We went ahead and bought some fish to feed to the tarpon. (One bucket wasn't enough for us) Not only did we have a great time feeding the tarpon and watching them go crazy over the food, we had the opportunity to see beautiful pelicans, several sting rays and a nurse shark while we were there! When visiting be sure to walk all the way through you never know what you might see. :)

Just here to eat, and we saw just the deck on our left, wich selling small bucket of fish! For 2$ we take one, go on the dock and we can ffed huge tarpon with hands! It's really a great experience, almost that we never saw a tarpon before!

Good place to visit. After long drive (a half way to key west) just take a break with this place. I really enjoyed to feeding big fish and i could not stop to buy fish more and more. For me, the fish is not big but huge fish. Bewared with birds to tried get your fish :) Also, the next door, you can enjoy with fresh food and get some drink also, sit with good view :)

Scary and fun experience. These are some huge tarpoons!... A must do when you come here

Trailer trash Bloody Mary..... AMAZING! The only thing I would do differently is add Worcestershire sauce.

My husband LOVED doing this. The man chasing the Pelicans away was knowledgable, he told us about the tarpon and how it's illegal to catch them. He had a long net that he had to chase the Pelicans away with. He accidentally hit me in the head with it, he apologized profusely, just be aware while walking around. The Pelicans were biting people as they walked by (which gave me a chuckle). The tarpon were very cool to see. My husband was giddy like a little kid feeding and watching them.

We only did the tarpon feeding. The tarpen were cool, the pelicans were annoying, but it was definitely worth the stop.
