reposting since my last review was taken down: Worked here for over 5 years and recently left the company. Shoutout to all my coworkers who are overworked and underpaid. This store has always had a reputation for poor management. Not from the leaders who are paid hourly, but from the salaried upper level management (ETL's + SD). They are all lazy, good-for-nothing micromanagers who stress out everyone below them. Long-term employees who knew the job inside and out were still constantly told exactly what to do on basic tasks as if we were brand-new hires. It made the job feel suffocating and signaled a complete lack of trust in the team. Upper management constantly breathed down our necks, telling us to do more and work faster with no incentive. They also loved raising starting pay for new hires while failing to give meaningful raises to those of us who had been there for years. They are responsible for the chronic understaffing. They often sat around in their offices and meeting room upstairs while barking orders over the walkie-talkie. They hate seeing you interact with your coworkers, even when you are still doing your job (too talkative? that's a write up). Upper management also loves putting on a big facade whenever corporate walks in; suddenly everyone is scrambling to look busy and follow every rule perfectly, only for things to go right back to normal the moment they leave. All of the employees, even the leaders, hate them and want to leave. I've known many great leaders who've transferred to other stores or left Target because of them. It would be best if corporate came in and got rid of them all. It would probably get this place out of the hole it's in (consistently the worst performing store in the district btw). Wouldn't be surprised if this place closed in the future, especially when the Topanga store is just a couple minutes away. The company as a whole is going downhill and openly admits in a recent training video we were all shown that they are trying to repair their reputation, but this store is a perfect microcosm of everything wrong with that approach: toxic upper management, understaffing, and a total lack of trust in its employees. Recent dress code changes that force everyone into one specific shade of plain red shirts (no logos allowed) do nothing to improve the workplace or customer experience. On top of that, the new stringent attendance policy rolling out feels like yet another way to punish the already overworked team rather than address the real problems. Much more I can talk about but this should suffice for a review. An extra star for my coworkers, thanks again to yall. I still absolutely do not recommend working here. read more

Since this is a smaller and older Target, shopping here is not ideal with the COVID-19 Pandemic going on. The bored young gal who waves you inside the store should do a better job by getting off her cell phone and pay more attention to the number of people inside the store. Aisles are narrower than newer, larger Targets so if you're looking for an item, forget about social distancing. You'll have to wait for someone to move to get past them. While EVERYONE in L.A. county is required to wear a mask or facial covering, employees need to do their job and make sure this is enforced consistently. On the day I visited, a young woman puller her mask down and left it hanging on her chest. She went and poked her head in the freezer and milk sections and then went to the shampoo aisle where she opened a bottle and sniffed it. I looked around repeatedly to find an employee nearby to talk to her; none were to be found. I then asked her, from a safe distance, if she could please put her mask on but she pretended not to hear me. Someone else asked her to do the same but she ignored them as well. This store has employees manning security cameras for crime. Employees need to do the same to protect the health of customers and fellow workers. Till this is rectified at this location, this store gets an F for its faijlure to closely monitor customers in violation of the "wear a mask/facial covering at all times" policy. read more

What are we doing target nothing but racism children's books teaching kids they are only their race? And white oriole are bad??? This is horrible discrimination & a are disturbing messages to teach are children. This is America land of the free we are all equal stop trying to divide children & people by race!! We are all American & are together. But if we push this victim mentality onto our children we will bun backwards right into socialism communism & slavery. Stop dividing us and using children as a weapon. No little child sees race untill it's pushed onto them. They all naturally make friends with each other. Then some horrible person shows the child one of these books labeled as "anti racist" & creates a racist! It's not a joke & it's not ok to do. A little child reads this book & all of a sudden her best friend she's been playing with without a problem who's white becomes her oppressor & has it out for her??? That's absolutely absurd!!! Republicans ended slavery a long time ago we are all free don't teach kids to be victims read more

One of the best if not the best Target in the San Fernando Valley! The staff in Starbucks ( Marcela, Robert, Brianna, Amy ) are very mature adults for being around 20 or 22 years of age. Very professional and kind. The guest services have Samanth and Christian B. Also Shahida who is front end supervisor. Martin who works in P-Fresh, Rae who works Softlines, Brian who works electronics and Elynn who works various departments! And a special mention to Kevin the store security officer. Kevin is constantly look for safety violations, and store shoplifting. And when you see him, he is all smiles with positive attitude. The guy is a real nice guy and keeps it real! All these employees under one roof is a rare event. I am over 50 years and I have never seen and met as many talented people in one store as this Target has to offer. read more

I come here because although Walmart is cheaper this store is a lot more relaxing and less hectic. Employees are always busy but when you need help they are pleasant to interact with, but I wouldn't say target or this store is about service to the customer. Fairly well stocked, I enjoy the addition of the food section. The checkout lanes are always slow, but I don't think the set up of the registers is well thought out and quite frankly it's probably set up in such a way as to discourage fast check outs so the cashiers can get the opportunity to offer you a target credit card. Which actually becomes a nuisance after so many tries. Overall a decent experience. read more

This target is pretty much hidden unless you know about it. It's a really quiet location but seems busy because of the parking lot. Don't let that scare you away. Most of them go to the 24 hour fitness next to it. Just like any other target. Not many people go which is nice. Place is kept clean. Smaller then other targets but still has the necessities read more

Really good local target. I don't have many complaints but one thing that I will mention that parking here sucks. The parking lot is like diagonal and confusing. Also sometimes there are homeless is here late at night. But overall the target inside is nice and clean. read more

This Parking makes me so sad. It is filled with litter. Pay some employees to pick up some trash. This is unacceptable for the amount of money target makes. read more
