I've been a Gold member for years and recently switched to be come an Executive Member. Having the one hour early access is really nice so you can avoid the long lines and make sure you get what you came for. It's nice getting in early because you can cruise the various aisles and see exactly what they have. Sadly, they don't have any signs on the end of the aisles to let you know what's down that LONG. You just have to go down it and check it out. After a while, you learn what's where. I was disappointed to learn they were closed on Memorial Day Monday but after thinking about it, I believe it's a good policy for their employees. The seem to do a good job of selection and hiring. I've noticed they don't seem to have much turnover as I see familiar faces every time I go. Today, I tried the 'self check-out' for the first time. I made the mistake of putting me OWN bag I brought in the bagging area and of course the machine lost it's mind and had to call an attendant to come over and clear the machine.

They have a ton of holiday stuff. Way more than their regular stuff. Not too crazy about that. I was in the store for a good 30 mins and not one person working greeted me or asked if I needed any help! I was looking all around for things to get a feel of their layout. There were several workers stocking stuff and walking around. Super rude. I saw a lamp that I liked but they only put their displays on the floor and the rest in the back so you don't know if it's available or not. I asked someone if they happened to have two and she seemed somewhat annoyed that she had to go back and check. Then she made a comment about how I could or couldn't be lucky depending on what they have. Turns out they only had one. Not a big deal. She did end up telling me that they had some available at other locations but why in the world would I drive an hour or so away just to get them? Overall, this store is ok but expect to fend for yourself. And if you have a sensitive nose I do NOT recommend coming here.

So here's my review of the Costco Warehouse from Jul 11, 2021.] Fifteen years since I let me Sam's Club membership lapse and I've not rejoined a wholesale club since. But now that we're making our own dog food for our girls, it's time for bulk buying meats and veggies so we're checking out Costco. Yep, they have everything and they have it in massive quantities. Not just food, mind you. Appliances, shoes, tshirts and underwear, computers, televisions, vision and optical, a full-service pharmacy and even a discounted gas station out front. If you're looking for a mecca to capitalism, world trade and just-in-time marketing, this is the spot. The process to sign up took entirely too long because the young lady wanted to talk and we just wanted to shop. But then we had our card and our shopping cart and we're filling it up with a bunch of stuff that we needed, we just didn't know that we needed. Keto pizzas, fresh grapes (not for the dogs!), a massive bag of spinach (yes, this is for the dogs), several bags of frozen veggies and more. Not everything was cheaper than Amazon or ALDI, but lots of things definitely are. You will want to be careful, don't shop hungry, and be aware that just because they sell it, that doesn't mean that it's the cheapest way to get it. We walked out with $330 worth of stuff. About what I expected. Costco gasoline is about 30 cents cheaper than the cheapest station in Charlotte. Now that South Carolina has raised their gas prices and it's no longer worth detouring past Carowinds for a tank of gas, I suspect I'll be back here just for gas. I love this store, I do get a little overwhelmed with all the choices and soo soo much to look at, for me so many "shiny objects" I end up spending way more time than I anticipate. But that's not necessarily a bad thing. If I am in a hurry, I just have to ask for what I am looking for and they are always super helpful in taking me straight to it or making suggestions for me. At first, the cashier #9 asked the cashier #11the item not show in the system then the #11 (lady name start with S, i forgot her name) told me that the pants did not belong to the store because the tag was not showing in the system. She then suggested that I may have done something to the tag, asked me to show her where did i get it. I showed her and she said it no supposed to be in this rack and told me that she might need to check the store's camera footage. I said go head an check it, i was here yesterday at 1 pm. And she kept telling me "look, this tag is old and we do not carried Men Zara in this store". I told her that I did not know about the old tag and i didnt do anything, i bought alot of Zara for my husband in this store, and she kept telling again, we not carried Men Zara. I was very uncomfortable and upset by the way this was communicated to me. I had purchased the pants at this store just one day earlier, and I felt like I was being accused of doing something wrong. After looking at the item again, she eventually confirmed that the pants did match the tag. I understand that employees need to verify returns, but I believe there was a much more respectful and professional way to handle the situation. She returned the item for me but she DID NOT say SORRY or anything. I WILL NEVER COME BACK!
