What can I say? It's a Target, yes, but it's *my* Target. Five stars for the staff and customer service. They're always friendly, attentive, and clear the lines quickly. They bring drive-up orders out quickly and make returns simple and fast. The organization of some areas of the store, on the other hand, leaves something to be desired, particularly the shoe section. It can be incredibly difficult to find the size and style you want and they seem to have given up on organizing them, but they're there and somewhat near the display shoe. That being said, I'm willing to overlook that and continue to shop at this Target because of the staff. There are several employees that I've seen working here for over two years now, and they're always friendly and kind to me and my family, which I greatly appreciate. packers for target that ship items to Arizona, is horrible, their lazy and incompetent, I live in Arizona, my items I purchase online should come from target in Arizona. so far, every order that comes from California, or Utah, or some other state is packed lousy, no packing, and cans come dented and boxes come crushed, this is unacceptable. Fed ex and UPS do a great job delivering, so it's not them, it's the TARGET store packers that is not using packing paper, and making sure items are packed well, not to mention missing items, over and over again. I have had to call corporate so many times it is ridiculous, so these workers that pack from target stores, in California, Utah and other than Arizona, need to get on the ball or need to be fired if they can't do their job. Update time and I still am not a fan of Target but I do have to say this location is very convenient. My son loved the toy selection growing up and still continues to make me take him to buy hot wheels. They are pretty inexpensive. It's hard to find someone to help you and the cashiers are OK. Seems like they are removing isles and sections of the store so it's kinda sparse. Parking is easy and plentiful. Good stop for just about anything. read more

This Target is on par with most of the Target's i've been to before. The store was tidy and associates were busy trying to keep the shelves neatly organized. The grocery section is a bit more limited than that of the Super Target locations but we were still able to locate the staple items we needed for our stay in SLC. The employees were kind. This target is LARGE and has a lot to offer. Parking is never bad, and they always keep a good stock of items. The reason for the 4 stars is that they do lack staffing up front. If you're not going as soon as they open, there is the longest line for self checkout because they don't have enough cashiers. It is off peoples freeway so there are often homeless people wandering the lot, but I have never had a problem at all. read more

So Target......I was out in Salt Lake City for a conference and my wireless mouse was starting to die on me and become irritating to use. So what do I do? Well after cursing the mouse and insulting its ancestors I went to the local Target and bought myself some AA batteries. Target....such a magical place. It has clothing, a grocery section, automotive section, toy section, pharmacy, shampoo, flat screen TVs, and all serviced by employees wearing different shirts/blouses/vests as long as the color was solid red. It's like the old revolutionary war days when rebel fighters (soon to be citizens of the future United States) all had different 1700s clothing, but were all wearing some kind of raccoon skinned hat as a sign of solidarity and to know that they were all on the same side (that and they didn't have uniforms like the British). Don't take my work for any of this since I failed 11th grade history. So yeah, Target employees like our fore fathers all dress in red slightly differently, but have an intimate knowledge on how to skin a raccoon. read more

I stopped in again today and realized how much I actually do like this Target. It's close enough to downtown that I dig the convenience, but I also feel like it's not encroaching the downtown scene. Here's a a tip: they do sell ice. Bad news is, it's on the faaaaaar wall of the store, so if you need to dash in to buy ice before a big event, for example, it's probably the least convenience place to do it. I wish it was like Harmons and many other stores where they have an ice machine up front or even in the entryway. First off I LOVE Target it's one of the few places I shop but this Target feels more like a thrift store. Literal piles upon piles of unorganized clothing and shoes on shelves, in the dressing rooms and scattered on the floor. Drove to Target on 300 West in Salt Lake City after work. Got there around 8:40PM. Shopped for some clothes to wear for an upcoming trip to the beach. Wanted to try on some shorts to see how they fit. However, the staff closed the dressing rooms at 8:30 even though the store was "open" until 10PM. The staff and manager (Maddie) seemed more interested in closing down the store early than assisting customers. There clearly was no way the staff and manager wanted customers to use the dressing rooms after 8:30PM because ..... who knows why???? No explanation. It was just a "policy" they made up. I left. There have been a few occasions when I have came and the workers haven't provided the best customer service. Which is a shock to me because most of the time target workers have been the best. Maybe they had a bad day, but don't take it out on customers or don't show it. The store is still a very well kept store. The employees on the floor are usually pretty nice. I love target. Don't get me wrong. But my experience tonight with Kelsie, short petite staff that was working at the customer service was very frustrating and annoying. We bought a electric griddle almost a week ago, and we are trying to return it. I showed her the receipt I got in my email. She said: "the item is not listed in the receipt" and I was confused, as it was listed in my email target receipt, and she stated annoyingly, rudely the same statement she said to me. I am traveling in the area and this target was very busy when I went, but the lines were moving so quickly I was shocked and how well it operated- not to mention a it was very clean and organized, I found everything I needed on my own even tho I was offered help twice during my visit. Target is Target. Nothing is really ever a surprise. Well, usually. This is a bright, clean, and centrally located store. They have the cool new plastic carts, a Starbucks, a mini food court and full service pharmacy. I noticed they sell a large variety of organic and dairy-alternative groceries. My hang up is the trippy layout. It just doesn't flow to me. Not at all. I couldn't find the toothpaste to save my life, the seasonal (Halloween) section is is in the far back corner, the restroom is kind of hidden next to customer service. This has by far the strangest layout of any of the 7+ Target stores I have been a regular at in the last six years, including the smaller Targets that offer only small amounts of groceries. Will I visit again? Yes. But I'm going have to keep an employee close by to hold my hand if I get lost. read more

However at check out today I only saw self check out available and I asked the large female employee with the boot injured foot if there was a regular lane available. She said no and didnt even look at me when she said it. I dont like self checkout because they watch you like you are stealing. I am lucky enough to afford target. If I am going to be treated like that then I dont see why I won't just order online. Basic jobs are close to be automated anyways, when you don't offer to help people out you are pushing everyone in that direction and you won't have a job.
