The loss prevention staff at this store likes to follow innocent people around. Today was the second time I was followed around, by the same idiot loss prevent agent. He couldn't be any more obvious about it, neither could the employees who were watching me & talking into their radios. The first time I was followed, I was looking at Disney Blu-Rays trying to decide which ones to buy for my kids. Apparently pulling out your phone and opening the amazon app to compare prices is suspicious behavior because after I did that and put 2 blu-rays IN my cart, I was followed around the store by a uniformed loss prevention agent. He looked over the shelves at me and followed me around the store and up to the registers and stood behind me until I paid. Then, as I approached my car in the parking lot, I noticed another agent on a scooter taking a picture of my license plate. All because they thought I was going to steal a $20 blu-ray?? Then I went today, black friday, and I am assuming the act of taking my phone out of my purse and putting it back is what brought me to their attention once again. I had my 2 small children with me and as we were walking past the jewelry counter, a man walking by reached out and touched my daughter's blonde hair! I pulled out my phone & sent my husband a text about it, put it back in my purse, grabbed some toothpaste and then went to get cat litter. In the pet section, I got my phone out again to take a picture of my kids in the cart, put it back, grabbed what I needed and continued on. In the housewares section, I stopped to look at some deer figures and I see the same idiot who had followed me on a previous trip, walk down the next aisle and stop, while watching me over the aisle. I put the deer back and went to the christmas section and he follows me and goes down another aisle while a woman pretending to stock sports apparel watched me while talking into her radio. I grabbed some wrapping paper but I was too flustered to shop at this point. As I left that part of the store, I watched her and she was clearly watching me. By now I am flustered, annoyed and angry and I cannot remember what I was there for so I decide to call it a day. I go up to the registers, get in line and I see the agent at the front door staring at me. Then I see the idiot agent heading to the front of the store. I know I have no done nothing wrong so I wait in line until I realize that I forgot the 2 items I came for. So I head to the grocery section and again, I see the loss prevention idiot trailing me. I really don't like being followed while I shop. I am not a criminal, I have no record and even if I was going to steal, it wouldn't be from Target. I know people will steal anything but all I had in my cart when they started following me was toothpaste, mouthwash and cat litter. Nothing worth going to jail over. Target seriously needs to train their loss prevention staff. They are going to lose a lot of good customers if they continue to follow innocent people around. I have been shopping at this store since the day it opened (in 1992 or 1993 I believe). I shop here at least twice a week and again, I am not a criminal, I don't steal. And the next time I am followed around Target, I will rip Target loss prevention a new asshole. Not cool Target. Not cool at all. You shouldn't make your customers feel uncomfortable shopping in your store. You got me twice, but the third time will be on you. read more
