Noey and his lady co-worker were very friendly and accommodating. I had been looking for new dining room furniture and looked between Monterey and San Jose. I am picky so had been looking for 2 months. Either style, size, color or expense did not work. Went to Ramos and they had a table I liked. They let me take the leaf from the table to check the color against my buffet (who does that without having to pay anything). Did not work so they suggested to get on their website and sure enough found a table that was perfect. Highly recommend the Salinas store. read more

I don't know why folks keep complaining about rising prices when EVERYTHING has gone up. I purchased a set of dining tables and 2 counter-height barstools and had a fantastic experience. Great customer service from everyone in the store. No pressure, nobody hanging over/around you. Helped me find exactly what I was looking for by consulting catalogs and acknowledging my several requirements. Value was outstanding as well, and this wasn't just cheapo furniture. Very upfront about order timeframe (I was not in a hurry, they said 3 to 6 weeks, got here in 5). White glove delivery very reasonable and quick. We walked in with cash to purchase a sofa we looked at 9 months ago. The price had increased almost $200 on the sofa and when we showed her a picture of the original price from 9 months ago, the lady wasn't interested in price matching. She was nice, but only made excuses about why the price was so high. We thanked her and told her we'd try Costco and she only said, "Ok. Is there anything else I can help you with?" I was in the market for a bed frame and was told by an associate that the slats of a bed frame I was interested in were closer together than what the photo indicated which the associate knew I was looking for in a frame. I was told no returns. Trusting the staff, I purchased the frame only to find out the slats spacing did not match the associate's description. Plus the frame is noisy but I am more upset about the staffs dishonesty. My family and I have been shopping at this location for years but this was the first time under these owners. By far the worst experience I've ever had with any business. If you want to save money go here. But be cautious, it will bite you in the ... somewhere along the line. First delivery, not one piece of furniture was what we ordered after waiting for 3 weeks to get it. Delivery company came in tore my house up and left it a mess with packing materials all over the floor. What's worse is that since it was the wrong furniture the mess wasn't even worth it. We finally got our furniture after months of waiting and then there was the credit they owned us and said they mailed it... they never did, we had to go pick it up. I would not recommend this establishment! You have to buy from a catalog and they say the have good prices, then I found the buffet table we wanted elsewhere for literally $500 less than what they wanted to charge us. We have basically spent over $4000 on complete and absolute junk! I'm ashamed to say, my husband and I were completely taken in by the sales pitch. When our furniture arrived, our "top-grain leather" sectional turns out to be a pretty nasty vinyl! The second sofa set we bought was literally trash. The frame snapped when my teenager flopped on the couch. We fought and fought and eventually were given a "free warranty", what a joke! A repair guy was sent by the warranty company and he said the frame was a cheap particle board and was not fixable. Back to the unhelpful and dishonest Ramos furniture folks. We are still waiting after 4 months for a response! BTW, we researched the actual products online. The $2000 "top-grain leather" (NOT) sectional sells for $900!!!! Buyer beware!!! read more

The customer service in this store is atrocious. I stopped by the store over the weekend, looking to purchase 2 guest chairs for my office. Their "stock" consisted of 1 chair of every kind, and if you wanted to buy more than 1 chair, you had to specially order it, and wait for 2 weeks. I wasted my time browsing through the catalog, indicating the chairs that I wanted, and leaving the employee my contact information. He promised to call me back in the morning after contacting the company and finding out delivery times. After waiting the entire day, I lost patience and called the store myself, only to find out that the chairs are not available for order. When I asked why they could not bother to give me a courtesy call back and update me, the salesperson became aggressive and defensive. My wife and I expended a significant amount on furnishing our house with this store's predecessor. Not going to happen with these new guys. read more

I have order from Ramos 2 years in a row. I purchased a bed frame. Before paying for it I had questions the rep. answered the questions very easy and quick. They delivered my item and set it up well a few months later my bed frame cracked and breaking. Weight factor was the and because she lied to me. My son had to make support slacks. Then recently I got a kitchen Tabel set. The price was good. But the delivery said one day and the original day they canceled because of a accident which meant I had to wait over 1 week. Delivery was set for Wednesday March 14 from 5-9. I was called at 9:15pm saying they were on the way. They delivered at 9:35 and didn't leave my home till 9:55pm after setting up the table. The delivery company is not customer service friendly. I don't recommend this place for no reason at all. Think again before going there. read more

So basically Ramos furniture is a junk stor! I bought a set of sectional recliner sofas and spent over 2k! Upon receiving them a month later the recliners were malfunctioning so I returned them for repair work. 3 months later I received them!!! With the same issues..!! So I returned them again.. To supposably get them repaired again!! So another 2 months went by before I received them!! Then my couches still had the same issues plus they had tears In them obviously done by them!!! The manager..(she's something else) agreed upon exchanging them for new couches of same value due to the fact that the furniture was so badly treated by them!! I went back about a month later with couches in hand and dropped them off ... 3 days later she went back on her word!! She was dishonest, disrespectful, and most of all rude!! She told me my couches were out of warranty and left them outside for me to pick up that she was not going to be held account for them... WHAT A MANAGER RIGHT..! read more

Think twice before going here. The customer service maybe nice, but when you have an issue with furniture after it's delivered, they will not fix it regardless if it is covered under their warranty. I purchased a power recliner sofa set and the left power recliner gave out. I contacted them back in the beginning of May, and still have a broken recliner and no warranty service. I don't recommend Ramos Furniture to anyone, and if you think you can deal with that, keep in mind your purchasing something with a big "AS IS" no matter how much you pay. read more

The staff at the furniture greeted us in a very polite manner. Very plesant staff. Wonderful customer service in person and on the phone. Both Claudia and Sylvia were very friendly and helpful during the entire purchasing process. We had a very hard to find item we've been looking for, they had the electronic lift chair both in stock for sale at a reasonable price. Claudia took the extra time to assist my uncle with the application process. If we were able to give more stars we would. Will be coming back to this store again in the future.
