This honestly was my best eye doctor experience ever. Dr.Haloua was super calming and professional…read more Not only ensuring that I understood everything that was happening during the exam, but also understanding my need. I got contacts for the first time (as well as frames) here. The class Dr.Haloua gave made contacts seem less scary, and her step by step approach helped me replicate the tactics at home. As for everyone else in that office- so nice. I felt immediatley welcomed, not just by them saying hello, but just by the atmosphere they helped create. While trying on glasses I had support and honest insight from all the staff. When I finally found my frames it was like a light bulb moment- I got compliments, and not just because they were selling the most expensive frames (they weren't) they just truly liked the way they looked. They were so excited to see me on follow up appointments that I didn't even stress about driving downtown. As for pricing, they are about average to most eye doctors. However they were helpful in my payment options. They also asked my price range and were honest about cost. Not to mention their office was also apparently under construction at this point. Not only do I recommend this place highly to anyone considering going there, but I plan to be a repeat paitent.

I have never written a review ... an insulting encounter today ... took-off a half-day work and…read morecould not complete my scheduled appointment. The staff (3 people) would not let me past the front desk because I would not provide my DOB. My record was already in the system, I have been to this facility at least 3 times in the past, but was denied today. My birthdate is irrelevant to an eye exam and the purchase of eyeglasses. There were no medical procedures anticipated, I am not using insurance, and no verifications are required. I was prepared to spend up to $1,500. cash today and my wife (who now cancelled) was prepared to do the same. We both lost a great deal today.

I found Dr. Cymbor to be informative and the staff was kind and patient, answering the dozens of…read morequestions that I had and showing consideration for the concerns that I had. The care was excellent until I came in for an appointment that had been scheduled for 5:00 PM. It was for a laser hole in my Iris to "relieve the pressure" from a growing cataract. It was as if I was on a rolling patient conveyor belt and there was no interest in answering questions or in scheduling concerns for the next procedure. I will have the other eye done, but will not go back for the cataract surgery at this practice.

I will note they were very pushy with upselling me on lasik and telling me to use their surgery center. They kept insisting to get the surgery despite me saying no several times. The front desk experience was the opposite, Abby was dismissive and rude while discussing the surprise charges, which made the situation worse; I also discovered their contact lens pricing is significantly higher than major retailers, with the same brand quoted near $90 that is widely available for around $60 elsewhere; I don't mind paying for services I agree to, but I do mind being billed for services I declined and not being clearly informed about extra costs, and better transparency and professionalism at the front desk would make a big difference.

Walmart certainly has low prices to fill your prescription given to you by a licensed Optician…read more They usually have an Optician on staff that is fresh out of school to provide eye examines at a low price. Dr. Fozard was extremely nice, has a good sense of humor, and never made me feel rushed or hurried. I'm not a big fan of glasses so I ended up getting contacts. I needed to get fitted for hard contact lenses. And I have an astigmatism. For those of you who…read moreshare this predicament with me, you can know that this could be a long, complicated process that requires multiple visits of trying out different brands of contact lenses. I chose Central Penn Vision because it's near where I work and also both ODs in this practice are women. In general, the receptionists have been very friendly and helpful. I saw both Dr. Stephanie Fozard and her associate (sorry, don't remember her name) during my visits. Both were warm and friendly, listened patiently to my situation and concerns, and were very knowledgeable about various brands of contacts and what my eye issues were. They encouraged me to come back if I didn't like the brand I was trying out (within a 2 month period, I believe). I appreciated this because I hate when doctors try to rush me out the door and make me feel like they don't want to see you again. My appointments have been on time. I had one less-than-stellar experience when my appointment was around lunch time: I felt weird standing at the window for a few minutes while the receptionist finished eating. But hey, ya gotta eat! I recommend Dr. Fozard and this practice to anyone looking for a new optometrist.
