A Holiday Shopping Heaven - This Target Location Stands Head & Shoulders Above the Rest I'm giving this particular Target store a solid 5-star review because frankly, it set the bar that much higher for what I expect from a shopping experience - especially during the most chaotic time of the year, the holidays! Now, I do have my go-to stores, but this one has won me over & become the one I turn to first for a few really good reasons. And the thing that really sets it apart from the other Targets in the area is the inventory - it's simply on a whole different level. Walking through the aisles I was blown away by how well stocked and neatly organized it all was. Unlike other stores that are beginning to look picked over at this time of year, this one feels like it's bursting at the seams with possibilities. What really won me over though was finding items IN STORE that were listed as 'shipping only' at the other locations. We all know that agony of finding the perfect item online, only to find out you cant get it right away - so frustrating. But here, I was amazed to find several of those items just sitting on the shelf waiting for me. That saved me from all the stress and hassle of having to wait for shipping & the anxiety of waiting for my packages to arrive - its that kind of convenience & instant gratification that makes a store truly exceptional. With this Target's unbeatable selection I just had to add new things on my own gift list, But what really impressed me was how easily I was able to find gifts for my friends that had been eluding me elsewhere. Whether its electronics & home goods to clothing & decor the variety was seriously impressive. When shopping can feel like a chore this Target store turned it into a genuinely nice & productive experience. If you're tired of coming to empty shelves and being told 'you can just order that online' I highly recommend making a trip to this place - it's clear that this big-box store is actually getting right what others can't. read more

There is a teacher/cashier who looks down on people and her manager acknowledged her rude behavior. I had to use my EBT/Food Stamps to shop for my food and I always let the cashiers know that I'm going to pay with the EBT card and the balance on it so they know what to do right at the very beginning and if they are not familiar with it I'll be patient with them. But this particular cashier/teacher was rude and with an extra attitude right away. Pointing her finger at me and giving me orders type of attitude. She pointed at my card and told me she didn't know what that is! Giving me looks up and down. Then if she didn't know how that works then I could've understood but NOT with that attitude! My card wasn't working and she got even more rude. So I told her to canceled the transaction. I went to a different register and they were able to do the job nicely. Then I called the manager to put in a complaint. And the manager acknowledged that "she's a teacher therefore she looks down on people and that they've had many complaints about her behavior before".The manager also told me that she saw the whole situation because she was a few feet from me at that time. And did NOTHING! Her manager also told me she "was going to have a talk with her" and that's that. This is my first time in over 25 years of shopping at target and other stores in the area and I have never been treated so poorly just because I'm using an EBT card/food stamps. There was a customer in front of me and this cashier/teacher didn't treat this customer like she treated me. Either the manager is scared of the cashier/teacher and that's why they let her be rude or both manager and cashier/teacher need to have a conversation with their supervisor. Horrible behavior!!!! read more

Target continues to be a massive disappointment in every aspect. Don't go here for produce, most is rotten. Don't go here for anything non-perishable, most are expired. Maybe don't go here for anything else, Target has ruined everything that they had going for them in the last year and are simply seeking profit. Customer service for every position besides cashiers is abysmal. read more

I visited the deli on 7/31/25 and no one was available to help..anywhere. For example, at the deli, Some guy with a Mohawk suddenly appeared and explained to the lot of people that a non English person was covering the deli and messed everything up. He never offered to help, he just said to come back in 4 hours if customers wanted deli items. read more

I've seen better targets, but it was also a Wednesday so hard to say if they had their A game going. They only had two cashiers working, and the self service checkout was totally closed. Other than that, we were able to find what we were looking for. Big parking lot. read more

a very nice guy named Ahmed I remember his name because of how nice he was when I was checking out. I also saw him getting a lot of work done and having no breaks. all around this place is a very nice place and the people especially Ahmed. Ahmed was very busy when I was there as he was being very nice to all costumers. I believe that he could be the manager because of the hard work he was putting in. read more

I drive trucks parked at the Home Depot walked to target shopped and left the store is very clean cashier was pleasant.

managers with their stupid walkie-talkies are useless as tits on a bull. They have 3 registers open during a rush where the customer lines are reaching back into the merchandise. managers will do everything to look busy except actually work. they blame their fellow coworkers on the long lines and small number of checkouts when they themselves could be helping to check out, but hey maybe it's below their pay grade. you will be left expecting less and paying more. read more

I love Target but some of their cashiers have absolutely no manners. Not one word was spoken to me. I had to ask #7@ 6:30 pm (Target Ridgedale)was she open? Yes the light was on but she was clearly on break. She sat doing a check list or what have you ,but she was not interested in working! @Target Please train your cashiers customer service and manners Thanks read more

I once spent 30 minutes here - helpful employee in tow - searching for melba frickin' toast. But, the employee was still friendly. At this particular Target, there is, in fact, an abundance of helpful employees. Like, I've literally never had someone be scowly or surly toward me at all, which is kind of rare in the retail world. Pretty standard issue Target stuff, so let me break down my stars. * - Helpful, friendly employees that go out of their way to help you find obscure things (and don't just give up when they can't find it.) ** - This Target is always clean. Even when it's slushy, snow, or icy outside. The floors aren't slick, they aren't dirty, and I've never found anything questionable in this Target. (I found a half-eaten chicken leg once at another Target, so this is, indeed, star-worthy.) *** - Good parking - the lot is large, but because it is more horizontal, you're always relatively near the door. And it's safe - it's in Minnetonka, for goodness sakes. **** - I can always find what I need at Target. Groceries? Check. Saran wrap? Check. Toilet cleanser? Check. An iPod? Done-zo. Only one star missing because honestly, Target, I think you could have reacted better in the recent identity theft thing. I snapped up your RedCard with all the lovely perks (5% off? YES PLEASE!) but then my identity got snagged, and that's a bummer. Overall though, great Target experiences await here. read more

I only needed 3 items and was shocked when I went to checkout. Only a few regular cashier lines were open and they were backed up. The self checkouts were worse. After waiting for over 12 minutes (yes I checked my watch) I bought my cart over to customer service and advised them I was leaving it there because I couldn't wait any longer. They had no one in line and did not offer to check me out. BRING BACK CASHIERS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. Highway 7 and 101 Minnetonka read more

This target is very outdated, but that's not a problem as it brings back my memories of the 90's. Tonight, they seemed to be a little out of stock on the items I needed, but I understand that happens. I did however get a new Bluetooth speaker, so it more than made up for the stocking issue. Will I be back? Probably for the nostalgia. read more

My young boys and I had to run out to Target for a few things later (8:45p) Friday evening and get back quickly to get them to bed at a reasonable time. A couple of the items we had to purchase were in the electronic area. As we rolled into the section, there was only one young man there, his name is Cam. In my 15 minutes in the department, Cam was pretty busy balancing multiple customers with different needs, lots of questions and also organizing/maintaining the area. He never stopped for a second and was unflappable. Cam was very nice to the number of people needing service, did a great job of greeting/communicating with the customers and was very knowledgeable of everything from cell phone cases (they are surprisingly technical), to high-end headphones, to cameras, to all things in the department. In a time where true customer service is dying, Cam went the other direction, doubled down with a great attitude and a smile (keep in mind it was 9pm on a Friday). Top notch! If in need of electronics or your next sales rep... find Cam! read more

At first when we started going to this store, we were thinking, wow, this is it? This is the biggest target we've been to in the twin cities yet this is all the items they carry? It's so outdated and it's so hard to find things BUT with the new update, it's a world of a difference. It's a big change. It's now one of the better looking target stores there is. The great thing is that they have self checkout lines now. We haven't seen that yet at any other target stores. That's a plus. read more

Great experience at this store! Only downside was that when I was checking out one of the front supervisors seemed unhappy and a cashier flipped on their light, and she came up and said very unenthusiastically "what do you need?" To the cashier! As if the cashier were asking for help to bother her! And after helping that cashier she stormed off fast. I own a small business, I would never get upset with someone trying to learn! It holds people back! But otherwise shopping was great. Just wanted to make that known read more

Target, you have lost me as a customer. The new "self service checkout" is too much, I am not waiting in line to check out $200 worth of merchandise myself. Never did find all my items, moving things around and having no one to ask isn't working for me. I am done. Service is terrible now. i used to shop here once a week, I was down to every few months and now...I am completely DONE with going into this store. I can buy my shampoo and lotions on line... You lost me Target Minnetonka. I am done. read more

people who works here are rude and not friendly at all. i was looking for something that i couldn't find and i saw a guy who works there and i asked him if he could help me, but he did not help me at all and was rude while telling me to ask someone els (he has a walkie with him but did not bother to ask if there is someone who knows the item i was looking for or at least find someone who can help me). went to their guest service (manager) and told her about what i have encountered in their store and she doesn't seem to care too and the only person that is nice who helped me was a lady that is on the cashier. this store is big but there is not much of their people walking around, it was very hard to find help. read more

Today I was in target and found a movie I wanted for 4.75. At the BBC heck out it rang up for 12.99. I went back to the end cap to clarify the price and I was correct, I found a sale associate Joe and asked him to verify the price for me. It ended up that the dvd blue ray combat was 12.99 but the tag was in the wrong spot. Joe Wales me to Customer service and I ended up getting my 8$ back and only paid 4.75 for the movie. Thanks target for the great customer service. read more

It's a Target, like any other Target. Nothing really standout about this location other than it's less than a mile from my apartment. On the plus side, it's not Wal-Mart. read more

This Target used to be great, but the service has gone way downhill in the last year. There are very few employees for such a vast store. A lot of the employees you used to see that had been there forever are gone. We went to this Target for a gift bag the other day. First, we almost were run over by a staff member bringing out merchandise, then some employees were talking about what seemed like the most outrageous store manager ever (sounds like I wouldn't want to work for that guy), and finally we spent half an hour in check out after every line we were in was closed (while we were in it). We did have maybe the world's nicest cashier, but I guess if you only need to get one item you should go to a better run Target, unless you have a lot of time on your hands. read more

been coming here for a year and a half. they never seem to have things in stock. the parking lot is always so crowded and the store was probably the most outdated target we've been to. but with the new change, it's pretty nice. they still need to work on training the cashiers a little more though (customer service and bagging). my husband and i dislike it when they try to stuff everything in one bag and make it so heavy. at least balance it out using another bag. and when they aren't able to scan a product, they clearly show their frustration and tell you about it. i remember one time, one of the cashier started pounding on the product itself trying to scan it. i should've complained then since she was pounding on an item i was purchasing. every 2-3 weeks or months, the prices goes up. i remember shopping at the hopkins target for over 4 years and they HARDLY had a price increase. shopping at this target, the prices has increased so many times and up to $1 to $2 more within a year and a half on some products. crazy!! there have been times where we would make the drive to go to the hopkins target but for now, this is the target we're going to. with the new change, most of the employees have been more helpful with helping you find a product which is nice. read more

Absolutely love this Target and the service. Whenever the lines are long, more people are called up to help. Everyone has always been so helpful! Best Target around!! read more

I don't know why this place is getting bad reviews. I've never had any problems with it at all. Groceries, clothing, electronics, small appliances, bedding, and some other stuff is all there. Sure they don't have the selection of a store that only caters to one specific item, but in the vast majority of cases, you don't need that. For the most part, their prices are reasonable and competitive. read more
