I really hate Target. It's about like going to Walmart that is a tad less crowded, but the prices are a lot higher. It's never that great of a shopping experience. We visited this Target location a couple of days before Christmas and it wasn't crowded like Publix, Walmart, Dollar Tree, Starbucks, etc. Nope it wasn't many people in there at all. I was basically dragged there because that's where my in-laws have to do their shopping. We purchased a few needed items like detergent and toothpaste, and browsed some of the toys and stuff which when looking at the prices just ticked me off. How can they get away with it. I guess as long as people are shopping there. I will say service is a lot nicer than Walmart. It's like Publix compared to Save-A-Lot. Our cashier was very friendly. But it does take a while for them to ring up everything. Not to mention the person in front of me had to check her 40 gift cards for any unused balances. read more

Whoever was directing/ training a young man in the accessory department today around 9:00pm was awfully rude. Talking down to this man as if he was so far below him instead of giving constructive criticism. I felt deeply uncomfortable trying to shop. I'm so sorry to the young man that was spoken to that way. The selection is garbage, every time we come we NEVER find what we're looking for. There are never employees I can find other than one at the check out on their phone. There are NEVER prices on any of the shelves and EVERY single section is consistently trashed. Hate that this is the target closest to me. This is a small Target, is quiet and easy to navigate. This location is close to my daughter's house and provides my Target fix very conveniently. It would be nice if they were to add a Starbucks. I would appreciate this concept in my neighborhood if Target were more generous with their Greenville, SC locations. The market area is small but has an appropriate amount of items for quick grocery pick ups. I was able to find everything I needed and didn't leave stressed from fighting my way through the aisles or in long check out lines. If you don't go in with unrealistic expectations, you'll be fine. read more

I used to shop Target more often, but today I was reminded why I go here less and less. The first major grpie of mine is that rows and rows and rows of shelves with absolutely no price tags, signs, or any hint of what was expected of me to pay Are we really just expected to guess at the price? Historically target has always been higher priced so rather than scout around for the nonexistent floor staff, I continued putting only two items in my cart although I came for about 15 items on my list. This was not limited to the men's department but also home care, seasonal, and gardening areas where I had planned to spend around $100 just on items I needed. As I didn't want to play Russian Roulette and gamble that the price just might be acceptable (doesn't Target realize most people have a BUDGET!?!) my cart stayed nearly empty. I finally got to the checkout with the only two items I selected where I knew the price, and unlike in previous shopping experiences, there were long lines of people in the two available checkout lanes. The self-service chrckout had a LONG line. And the SOLE reguster with a staff member had about a dozen people waiting. So, realizing I really didn't need to waste any more time, I just left my items in the cart and walked out....headed to a store where the prices are usually actually KNOWN to the customer. I probably won't come back to Target for many many years. PS My Target RED card was canceled recently due to inactivity as I just hadn't been to Target in a while. This last visit WAS my last visit, at least for a long long time. read more

In theory, Target website checked local inventory of all 5 items before online purchase was confirmed. Buyer chose this local store specifically because all items were in stock. Later Target cancelled 1 item. Waste of time. Flawed inventory system. read more

Um I came here to get some liners and on my package it said double pack and there was a sticker that said 120+120=240! So I got excited since I wouldn't have to stick up for a while on my liners. I come home to find out there are only 120 in the pack. Rip off. I was expecting 240 liners for my stock pile and I got half of that. Trust me I know there were only 120 I counted each of them individually 3 times. I'm not stupid I know how to count so I knew I was right but trust me there were only 120 when it said double pack! 240! I'm very disappointed in always and target for not giving me exactly what I paid for. Thank you for ruining my liner stock pile now I have to restock after 120 days when I was planning on restocking after 240 days. Wow! What an awful experience! This is exactly why I prefer to go to the Johnson Ferry location! Only self checkouts open, which I Hate! And, of course, the machine won't recognize the coupon, the gift card isn't recognized and the payment pin pad freezes. No one in sight to help! I don't get paid to check myself out! That's your job! How about employ enough people to staff your store!! Awful! Not to mention just in the time I was there, 4 other people complaining about having to self checkout! Really bad decision Target! Closest Target to me, so when I need my Target fix (often) and am low on time (often), I go here. It's an old Target, so forget the Basic Mom move of hopping by the in-store Starbucks for your pre-Target run latte. So far, they've had most things I need. Their home, clothing and beauty sections are always fully stocked. They just don't have as big a market area as the newer stores that offer a little more variety. I made the mistake of using this location's restrooms, and I will never do that again. Disgusting doesn't begin to describe it, so they need to get on that. read more

This Target is very close to me and I have come here many times over the years. To be honest, I am surprised that it has remained open over all these years, because every time I go in there is not very much foot traffic in the store. This is a good store to go to if you don't want to wait in a long line at checkout or deal with lots of people in the aisles. The store is very clean and well maintained and has the huge, wide aisles typical of most Target stores. They seem to have a practice of periodically rearranging their merchandise, which makes it hard to find things sometimes. They have a great selection of household items, and this store would always be my first place to go if I'm looking for kitchen, bed, or bath supplies. I also love their selection of greeting cards and usually get my cards here. read more

This is a very dated and poorly laid out target. It is showing it's age and we had some problems with customer service regarding our target rewards account that took us an extra half hour to resolve. They were out of stock on a number of items which led me to believe they might be closing. On the positive side, there are usually not many people here so parking is easy. We live near here, but will avoid coming to this dated location. There are many newer and nicer Targets than this one in the area. read more

Target on Shallowaford Toad May be the worst experience of my life and I've lived through the tragic death of Harambe. I walked in the store and got that awful Target stench. I was walking around and I found a pair of socks that was $19.99! How inconsiderate. Target has caused my family so much pain and have caused me to lose my hopes and dreams. Target was the worst pace ever and it would've gotten 0 stars but and employee named Noah, I forgot his last name but he was unnormally red, but he tied my sons shoe when he dropped the ramen package for him. read more

They now have self-checkouts, which I'm usually a big fan of, but not when my cart is overflowing. The store opens at 8:00 am, but I have been told on numerous occasions that cashiers don't come in until 9:00, so there is no other choice but to use self-checkouts no matter how much money you are spending! I have also witnessed senior citizens trying to figure out how to check themselves out, while the employees stand around and watch, without offering to help them. What kind of customer service is that? read more

Very disappointing store compared to the East Cobb target. Clunky layout, limited checkouts, no starbucks, and outdated. Three stars just because it is functional. Hopefully this store is scheduled for a major overhaul if not a demo/rebuild soon. read more

Am I the only one who noticed that Target on Shallowford had this offensive odor today? Hits you like a brick wall. It smelled like a house that has a dog that is not potty trained. I am a faithful Target shopper. Been shopping at Target since I was a child. This Target location is closedr to our home. In the last 6 months I have noticed a pungeunt odor in the shoe end baby section. The smell is of dead rats. Surely it has been noticed by managers in the store yet no one has yet to fix it. I now have a newborn grandchild I need to buy for and am finding it too discusting to shop at this Target any longer. I will be shopping at the store in Roswell nearby. read more

I have shopped at the Target on Sandy Plains and Shallowford for 22 years and never had a problem with anyone there or had a bad experience there until today. In the past I have paid with cash or a credit card until today. I wrote a check for $130.50 and they would not accept my check. This was in front of 5 or 6 other customers waiting in line. They could not tell me why but that I should call a number on the back of my check to find out. Of course everyone in line thinks my check is no good. I called the number and after talking to 2 customer service people I found out I had no CHECK history with them and until I wrote smaller checks under $100 and they cleared could I write a check for over $100. Amazing they were happy to take my credit cards for 22 years but can not trust me for my check. They can not verify the check like most other merchants like Publix, etc... because if they did they would know my account has plenty of money to cover that check.
