I love that they have these 2 stores combined. I went to HomeGoods looking for some couch pillows…read moreand had success. They had a good selection and great prices. I always enjoy looking around HomeGoods and usually buy things I'm not there for. It can get overwhelming with the amount of stuff they have, especially when it's crowded. I recommend going during the weekday or odd hours. After shopping in HomeGoods it's nice to walk right into TJ Maxx. They have super cute clothes, it's always fun to check out the clearance section. I always look at the soap/lotion section as well. They usually have a great selection.

And in case you don't know, they do have a credit card But who am I to get anybody in trouble? Haha! The credit card is pretty good and I usually have rewards every time I shop. They also do 15% off for birthday coupons if you are a member. Yesterday I was able to clean my 15% off and I had a five dollar reward. I wouldn't say the customer service is the best for my retail manager point of view, but if you ask questions, they will answer them. They don't necessarily go out of their way to ask how you're doing or any of that stuff though. I will say I still enjoy every trip that I go there. Yesterday I bought bubbly an array of items for charcuterie boards, and some really amazing gourmet snacks, not to mention a couple of hot sauces. If you are a foodie and wine person , love imported culinary delights, this place is for you. It was a great shopping trip and I can't wait to go back.!

It was about 6" tall, but we thought it was still cute. Since it had no tag we brought it to the front to see what they could do with the price. Their attitude is why we don't shop there often

Let me just say.. I've spent 20 years in customer service…read more The only reason this place didn't get one star is because the selection is awesome. The clothing section is well organized, however the home section, is absolutely out of control. I felt like I was in wonderland and didn't drink the correct potion. Clocks hanging from the rafters, everything just thrown around, no reason for anything to be anywhere. The adorable older woman at dressing was sweet and the floor staff seemed happy. Until I got to checkout. The cashier didn't say hello even when I said hello.. Didnt tell me my total.. Didnt say thank you or goodbye even when I said it to her. Essentially I checked myself out. She was too busy talking to her co worker who was also ignoring her customer. Sucks to give a lower star rating but these two ruined it for everyone else.

I had to chuckle to myself when I came across Champion sweatshirts, Fila bucket hats and Converse sneakers in the store. With that said, the store staff is helpful, the racks are well organized, and my daughter can feel that she is trendy even though she doesn't know that I was rocking the same Champion sweatshirt in a basement party on Langdon in '93.

Perhaps I haven't appreciated trying to make fashions that were once part of my life...ironic? Regardless, it's always a trip to make my way shopping down State Street and end with Urban. Totally worth an annual visit no matter if you make a purchase or not. Books and gifts can at least make you laugh or think of someone for the holidays. If you shop around the joint, you can find good deals, but I'm not sure how long the clothes will last. Urban sure does bring it at Maxwell Street Days. In years past, I've gotten awesome little tops, basics, winter gear, gag gifts, cheap shoes. There are usually many staff folding clothes (I seem to love that) and available to check out customers.

A few things that really set this charity shop apart: -Super bright, clean and organized. -Curated selection, everything looked clean and ready to wear. -Tidy kid's section, nothing overwhelming. -Higher quality (than typical for thrift shop) furniture, glassware, and shoes, even musical instruments!! -Staff were amazingly attentive, welcoming and helpful. Loaded up a heavy piece, a keyboard, right into my car for me. -Prices lower than Goodwill, by a significant amount!! Thank you!!!! I'll be back!!

The store is never busy, which is great, but honestly, they have so much great stuff, wish more people would shop here. They do a decent amount of online orders and print sales so that is good, but we hope this place doesn't get shut down. The building desperately needs repairs and work done and please please update the POS system. Your poor employees have to do so much extra work because of how outdated the POS system is. Riley has been there every time we have shopped here, he is a great employee. We had dealt with the other employees when been there and they all are helpful and knowledgably. The prices are the same if not better than other stores but I rather pay more and not have a busy overcrowded and picked thru items and shop here even if paying a few cents more. We always find what we need and if there is something they dont have we have ordered it to ship to us directly. Riley recently got us signed up for the business membership program and glad we did, we saved over $80 on our recent purchase. Thank you for being such a great place to shop for all our office/schooling needs.

I think they must have taken a wall down or something, it seems way bigger now. The place had the usual thrift store feel. Not pretty, not fancy, but with the whiff of potential. Well, that whiff delivered! (That sounds gross.) I found five different items (two skirts, one jacket, two shirts) all for less than $15. Like anywhere else you need to really dig. The signage was not great, very inconsistent, but it seemed like they were making an effort. It was mostly clothing (mostly women's) with a wall of books, some bedding and luggage near the books, and I think a little furniture. Honestly, I was there for the women's clothes and paid almost no attention to the rest of it. There are three changing rooms (all tiny, but mine had a working lock for which I was grateful), and they do take plastic. The color of the day was purple, meaning that everything with a purple tag was half off (the jacket!). The pricing varied within the categories (example: a shirt could be $4.99 or $7.99), depending on the perceived value. To sum up: I will go again.
