So, I haven't been to a target in like two years. I forget why I was mad at them and didn't want to spend money there so since I needed something and was about to pass one, I went into this one. I had a short shopping list in my head and ended up walking around 70% of the sections in the store, browsing and shopping, and found all the things that were on my list and things that I knew I needed, but hadn't written down or mentally prepared for. There were employees nearby almost every section. I did ask one where to find something obscure and he gave me two good suggestions on where to look, and I did find what I needed. I even found a work blouse for a great price. All in all, this was a good experience on a Saturday afternoon. The store is clean. The parking lot was clean as well. If you've been to one Target, you've been to most any Target. This location is no exception, good or bad. I've dropped in during vacation for groceries and clothes and haven't come up empty for anything I needed. My one complaint is that the dressing room never seems to be open. Trying things on is one of the few perks of shopping IRL opposed to online anymore, so that's really frustrating. Otherwise it's been well stocked and fairly organized every time I've been in. Love how the Starbucks is inside and it is close to other shopping center like Kroger, McDonald's and UPS. It is smaller that the one Bardstown road but they serve they save variety and good quality Target selection. The parking lot can be busy at times. read more

I've been to this Target a few times before when I'm in this end of town. It's a bigger place with tons more in stock. I came to find stuff for a friend's baby shower. The register station is to your immediate left. There was no line, so I had no trouble printing the list out. It's got the aisle number and everything! All Targets are laid out the same, so I never have trouble finding what I'm looking for. Staff is always around and friendly. read more

This target is clean and always has great clearance items. I've been to the other ones in this area and I find that I like this one the best. The employees are incredibly kind and helpful. One time I was in a rush and one of the employees offered to check me out with a portable scanner and I was able to skip the line and leave much sooner. He was incredibly enthusiastic which was pretty entertaining and also made checking out feel like 10 seconds long. As far as products, I feel like this one stays stocked more consistently. Often times if I am at another Target in the area they won't have what I need and they always seem to say that the St Matthews one does. I love this target location. I travel quite far to keep this my home base for all my target shopping needs. When I get checked out, I'm always treated with kindness and respect. Tonight was a different story, unfortunately. I know not to judge this store on one experience but I'm going to leave my review in the hopes changes are made to their struggling customer service department. I was in target earlier today and forgot to grab the bulk of my items at check out. So, I call this store over and over and over in hopes I could just call to see if my items were at least still at the store before driving all the way out there. After about 10 minutes of no answers AT ANY DEPARTMENT I gave up and drove up there. The kid working at the customer service counter just looked at me with wide eyes when I reluctantly approach because he's too bothered to greet me with words. I tell him my issue and he quickly walks away, doesn't bother to ask me what items I left behind OR to see my receipt...no joke. He goes to the back, literally grabs every bag of unaccounted for items, bring about 5-10 different bags to the counter and says to me, "I don't know which one is yours but you can go through these." Are you fucking kidding me dude? How stupid and ignorant are you? How about you ASK me what items I left behind and bring out the bag with those items? Work smart, not hard. I was so shocked at this level of disrespect and moronic behavior I quickly found my items and left. The kid walked away as I was going through the items. I legit could have just walked off with all of the bags he laid in front of me. Target on Wesport, you need to hire better customer service employees and maybe answer your phones once in a while. I love Target. It's definitely a guilty pleasure of mine. Even when I don't need anything, I'm always up for strolling the aisles of Target. This Target specifically is great to go to. I love the location of this target. There's several different shops around here. Homegoods, TJ Maxx, etc. Very dangerous haha. This Target also has a Starbucks in it, which is always great. They keep things in stock and always tend to have items that have just released and are hard to find. The cashiers and other employees are super friendly and the store is kept clean. read more

I found this Target to be very organized, and clean. Upon entering, I noticed that this Target appears to be slightly larger than other Targets I have been to. I also noticed this Target has more products, and has more in stock than other targets. (I was specifically looking for a few cleaning items that the Target closest to my house didn't carry- but this Target did) I found everything easily, and the employee at the self check out was very helpful. There is also a grocery and pharmacy. I sometimes use the grocery if there is something I have to have and I don't want to go to another store. I love Target. Don't get me started. Sure the clothing and shoes may be creeping up in price and down in quality but it is still a nice place to just zone out and be alone in the mass of humanity that is in the store right along side you. This may be sexist to say but if you don't get what I am saying, you may not be very feminine / maternalistic. They might just pump low level nitrous oxide gas into the ventilation system or something because you walk in and feel calm. And then you lose hours of your day without even realizing it. You might still have only two things in your cart (or thousands of dollars worth of products - it's black or white like that, no gray space) but you will come to a few hours later and realize that you need to check out. Don't worry that you have no idea how or why Head & Shoulders got into your cart as no one in your family suffers from dandruff, or that you have kitty litter and do not own a cat. Just go get in line and check out. Or walk away from the cart and visit the Starbucks for a Come-Back-To-Earth afternoon pick me up and go get in your car to make it to carpool line because it is time. (Also make that a triple shot espresso while you are at it. You're gonna need it since you got NOTHING done after you dropped the kids off 6 hours ago.) I really love this location of Target. Who am I kidding? I just love Target! But, this location is pretty good too. I've always had quick friendly service here; with returns, locating items, and checking out. And, the store is clean and usually has items I am looking for. If I'm in the St. Matthews area this is definitely a place I'll go to shop for home needs and/or groceries (though I don't typically do all of my grocery shopping at Target, as their grocery selection is a bit limited for my needs). Plus, I usually check out Target for home décor and specific items I've seen online and liked. And, this is a great location to do that. read more

This is definitely my favorite Target I've been to in Louisville. Has a nice parking lot and a wide selection of everything. Sometimes I do have trouble finding certain things in stock or not on the shelves, or not my size in stock when it comes to apparel, but generally I'm able to find what I need. The staff have always been pleasant, so that's a huge plus for me. They've always greeted me and be very polite checking out or when they're around the store-- so to me that's a huge win. Love how this Target has a Starbuck's coffee shop on site in addition to a little snack bar that has popcorn, pizza, sodas, etc. The bathrooms are usually maintained well and the folks who work there are friendly. The newer self-check out is nice when you just have a couple of items. read more

While this isn't my favorite Target, I find myself here from time to time. This Target seems larger than some of the others. I've also noticed that they have more items here. I do like Target for general shopping needs. Target and Meijer are the clear winners, but I find myself phasing out Meijer in favor of Target. Anything beats the big blue evil box that no one should ever shop at! The staff at this location is friendly which can't be said for some of the other Target locations. With a friendly staff also comes rude clientele. I tend to encounter the rude people here that block entire aisles, don't control their kids, stop abruptly in front of you, or totally ignore you when you say, "Excuse me." I know that's not Target's fault, but it still matters to the shopping experience. Main notes: -- General shopping needs -- Some groceries (I can't get everything here. Target is my guilty pleasure, and when I want to give in to the devil on my shoulder, this is the Target I like to go to. Yep, most Targets are all the same, but this Target stands out to me because: * It's very clean. This extends to the dressing rooms and displays. * It carries some of the special brands I see promoted on Target's website. On my most recent trip, this Target had a large display for Hearth & Hand, a special brand by Chip and Joanna Gaines, of "Fixer Upper" fame. It also had areas for Target's newer clothes brands. * Speaking of clothes, I can usually find something I "need" to bring home with me -- "need" as in "want very, very badly." * On my most recent trip, I was in need of small travel-sized toiletry items for an upcoming trip. I know this is a specific need, but this Target had an entire wall of fun-sized goodies. Some Targets I've been to have had smaller selections. * The staff has always been helpful, like when I've had to return items. * The Starbucks line moves fast. * The grocery area seems to always be well stocked. * Parking isn't a headache. You generally know what you're going to get when you go to Target. This Target just seems nicer and more updated than others. I'll gladly while away my time and money here. read more

It's always organized (even despite the chaos of the holidays AND a store revamp) and the workers have been so kind. A newer location in town featuring a full line of groceries, including meat and produce. I don't think it's the largest Target in the Louisville area, but it seems to be one of the biggest. Like most Targets, there are usually a good handful of employees to provide assistance if needed. The assistance is usually provided with a smile--I'm not sure how they are able to pull that off--they must provide a nice work environment. read more

The Target on Westport Road is a store in good repair and usually well stocked. The parking lot is ample. It is a busy store and my only complaint usually stems from not enough check out lanes being open. I prefer the self-check lanes. The people in the self-check out are usually on a mission and don't have hundreds of items. This is my go to store when I need to pick up a few items and want to get in and out in a timely manner. read more

Very poor experience with this target customer service! Emily, the front manager is rude and tells the customer who is trying to pay with gift cards not to tell her how to do her job when she obviously doesn't know how to! Emily, the manager came over after her cashier called her over to assist with the payment. She gave me a huge disgusting attitude when her cashier didn't know how to process the order with 5 E-gift cards, told me the customer to make sure count all my orders up before I start the transaction. How would I know what the total was going to be? It was a few dollars short of the total money I had on my gift cards, I wanted to add a gum and make sure I used all the money! This particular Target is pretty much the same as most but a bit on the nicer side. Target is one of the few stores I'll actually buy items at instead of online. They have some good/great deals on clearance items. I've bought two TVs at over half off. Also if you get a Target card you can often get them to match the price of an item on Amazon or a few other websites and then get an additional 5% off using your Target card. It's also a great place to take kids. They easily distract themselves by looking at toys the entire time so you can go off and get some shopping done or buy a much needed video game or chill at Starbucks and get work done. My sister would probably be mad if she knew I let her kids just wander around by themselves, but she'll never find out! And then you don't even have to buy them anything! Target is pretty much the same anywhere you go. This is one of the newer ones. Called a "P-Fresh" store internally, it has a rather large grocery section, including fresh meat and produce of good quality. One of the nicer Target stores in the Louisville area, it is usually clean and fairly well organized, with generally helpful staff. They have nifty all-plastic carts here, which are not only bigger than standard shopping carts, but are also less likely to damage your car in the parking lot. This location also features a Cafe, Starbucks, Pharmacy, and robust Electronics department which sells cell phones and iPads. read more

Very inconsistent experiences here have earned the three stars. Suddenly my favorite Target takes a nose dive and mostly due to staff. First, the bathroom was appalling. It was the end of the night and an employee was loudly, obnoxiously barking into her cell phone while all but 2 stalls were empty of toilet paper, littered with the spent rolls and 2 toilets unflushed. Second, the staff hardly met my eye while we were there save one very helpful gentleman in electronics. Wish I could remember his name and give him credit but he sold us a Roku and some Monster wire which were everything he promised they would be. Third, if you're going to go to all the trouble to build a grocery, why would you not carry organic produce? I wouldn't dare shop for fruit or other items there. That said, they have a Starbucks which wins this coffee fanatic over and things are always in stock with a great variety. Many times it's very clean here and associates are helpful and polite. This is the Target I always try to go to. It's the best I've found in the area, in terms of variety and keeping items in stock. People are friendly when you need them, and generally don't bother you when you don't need them. The Target credit card (and debit card) gives you 5% off every day, which I think is an awesome deal that people might not realize is available. I don't shop at WalMart, and the card brings the prices down to WalMart level but with the much better atmosphere and higher quality items of Target. read more
