Quick update to this review to point out a couple tips for these COVID times. 1) Download the Target app even if you aren't shopping online and are shopping in the store. You can set up your home store and look up items you're shopping for; the app will tell you what aisle you can find them in. This was particularly helpful when I was looking for some Smashmallow marshmallows to round out Christmas stockings. Rather than going aisle to aisle, I knew just where to look -- cutting down on how long I had to be in the store, decreasing my potential exposure to COVID. 2) Target's free in-store pick-up option is clutch. It was easy to use via Target's app and site, and if an item ends up being out of stock after purchasing, it's easy to change the item. All of the employees and guests who I saw wore masks, which is mandated. Thanks, Target, for doing things right. read more

To begin with I purchased 2 bags of IAMS cat food rather than 1 due to the current promotion that rewards customers with a $5 gift card. I even mentioned the promotion to the cashier as I was placing all my purchases on the conveyor belt. Before I even had a chance to type in my phone number for the rewards program the cashier spewed out the receipt. I was not given a chance to type in my number for the rewards program nor was I given a $5 gift card. In fact I called customer service when I returned home only to let it ring over 25 times without any response. This is less than stellar customer service unfortunately. So I wanted to get Quest 3 virtual reality headsets and 2 cases for 2 of my sons for Christmas and i find them on the app and was just going to pick them up but the app says that since im a circle 360 member same day delivery is free, so I decide I don't have to leave work that works I check out I'm given what I think is a transparent total for the items and 44.?? tax free shipping full total 784.36 I place the order then look to see if it came out of my bank account and the amount take was 980.?? almost 200.00 more!!! So I call they tell me that they over charge 25% in case there are any incidentals on same day delivery's I'm like WHAT why didn't you disclose that before I ordered? Well it's on the app some where he said But could help me find it. It wasn't in any of the totals or disclosed in the cart or when checking out. My bank says I won't get the difference until next wednesday and today is friday so I have 200.00 in limbo for 6 days THIS IS UNEXCEPTABLE FRAUD!!! This location I consider "my Target". It is the closest Target to my house and I have my best luck for deals here. I'm not ashamed to admit that I will sometimes go to 2-5 Targets in one day hunting the best deals. I prefer to shop here in the morning on my days off during the week. There are only a couple pesky noisy carts here... so don't commit before you do a test run thru the dollar spot. This Target has a great lay out and clearance deals are easy to find. I can't fully disclose my route and what I hunt for in fear that others will get my deals before I do. The men's and women's clearance clothing is always well organized by size... THANK YOU! Sometimes I will utilize the Target app to search for specific items by location. You can even scan an item with the app to verify the price and see if it has a Circle deal. At times the app isn't always reliable on clearance pricing, but no fear a price check station will be close by. I like that the app will tell me where to expect an item to be located.... time saver! Like a good Target customer I do it all to save money... Target Circle, Target Red Card (save 5% on every purchase), and try to remember to bring my own bags inside (save $0.05 when you use your own bag). Typically I have less than 10 items on a trip so I utilize the self check out. There is typically only 1-2 lanes open with cashiers and I like to leave those open for people with overflowing carts. Don't want to get sucked into the "I don't come here to buy hundreds of dollars worth of crap I don't need".... Give Target Drive Up a whirl. Do your shopping on Target.com or the Target app, selecting Target drive up. After completing an order you will get an email when the order is ready to pick up. Using the app you can notify the store that you're on your way & the specifics of your vehicle. On your arrival to the designated Target Drive Up area in the parking lot, log into the app to select you have arrived. Target staff will come out to your car with your purchase. Upon receiving your item staff has you sign on their device. Target run done & no extra nonsense! The staff that work here is very friendly. This is a very nice store. I come to this Target because the one on my side of town closed after being around so many years. So, I come to this Target. I like that they have a grocery but, I don't buy my groceries here. They do have a very big selection of merchandise and it is pricey but worth every penny. It's one of those places you go for one thing but come out with a cart full of stuff. I only go when they have things on sale that I want or need. You can find almost anything there. They have a lot of registers in the store but, very few open. They also have a Starbucks if you ever want to go there. I do like this Target a lot but, I'd give anything to have one back on my side of town. That's the only kicker on this store for me. read more

I find myself at this location of Target often, as it is convenient from my house. I love Target, but this location is just alright. I've had issues here with returns, locating items, and checking out. The store seems to often be under-staffed, and this causes issues with long wait times. Also, the Starbucks in this location is always crowded and really slow. If you're in the area and need a Target stop this spot will do, but I prefer to head over to the St. Matthews area to do my Target shopping. read more

I come to this target often and it's recently been sort of chaotic. I'm not sure why. Today I went in to pick up a few things. One being sausage for breakfast. I realized once I'm home and have already cooked four- it has a use by date of July 16 18. To say I'm irritated is putting it nicely. I'm concerned as to why something was still on the shelf almost a month after it should have been thrown out. So, now I wasted money and have no sausage. Target. You go in for one specific thing. Then you spend $200. Ok...so I did better on my trip than that, but it's kinda true. You will almost always leave with more than you intended to buy. I went in for a shower curtain. I did not leave with a shower curtain, but did get some other new apartment necessities. I am also in the market for a new flat screen tv. It took a good while in the electronics section before someone came over to help. Because I *need* the help. I know nothing about electronics, let alone deciding between LCD and LED, 720 or 1080p...luckily my roommate was with me and he seems to know the right questions to ask. Ran in on a hot day - met with cold air! Store was clean and neat in appearance. I was able to run in - three of us total. We grabbed the few items we needed and head to the check out. In and out in no time. There was mention of new services and pick up of items but we don't normally come here so might be useful for others. read more

This Target is my stealth Target, for my life it's out of the way but I know I can sneak to this one and get things if other Targets don't have it or are out. It's oddly laid out in the front area but it otherwise has the things that you'd expect at Target. The people who work there are a little friendlier than others I've encountered and if you call there they are willing to send someone and look and see if stuff is there. read more

I don't necessarily prefer this Target, but I do end up at this Target the most. The staff is friendly and unlike the terrible competitor across the street, they normally have enough staff up front to keep the flow of foot traffic going. All Targets are usually the same. Some vary their products depending on the neighborhood they're in. Some notable differences about this one: - The people here aren't rude (customers and employees). - This one tends to have more loud kids running around. - The lines are normally manageable. My trips are in and out. - This location has a Starbucks. If one thing could be improved with this Target, it would be to install self-checkout lanes. read more

I bought a TV stand for our new TV. It came unassembled in the box and one of the pieces was broken. I was afraid I'd have to bring back the entire box of pieces and it weighed a ton. I talked to Christopher who referred me to Amanda, a manager. They were both so nice. They exchanged to pie from another box with no problem and even offered to load the new piece into my car. I inadvertently went into the wrong dressing room because the signs noting "Men's" / "Ladies" was blocked by racks of cloths... Made me feel like I was a stalker or something...either raise the signs to be above the doors or put your racks somewhere else see picture. read more

Not a big fan of Target. But this is probably my favorite location. I like the size of this location. Some of the other Louisville locations are trying to look like Walmart. This location is easy to find what you want. Divided perfectly. The people that work in electronics are super friendly and very helpful. Like all locations though, never enough checkouts open. Target was actually my first job I ever got when I was 16 years old and I work at the one in Okolona and they fired me after 3 months they said I wasn't fast friendly and fun I don't understand that because I'm always fun I'm sometimes friendly and they're right I'm not that fast to be honest but looking back I probably would not have hired 16 year old me either. but anyway I can't hold that against them I do enjoy Target have a variety of things to always check it out Halloween there was a bunch of Halloween decorations Christmas it's always a feel-good store when you walk in. Seriously, this was a fantastic shopping experience! Went to pick up a bottle of shampoo we had ordered online. I wasn't sure which line we needed to stand in so asked someone looking at their schedule behind the counter. She was beyond friendly, and indicated we guessed correctly. The person who checked us out (at the returns/service counter) didn't see the name but knew from someone earlier that it could be listed a different way. Found it, got the item, and we were sent on our way in no time at all. Oh, that all my Target trips were this seamless!!! read more

Target is a great go-to when you only want to make one stop and need to pick up health and beauty items, paper towels, new socks and random household items. The store is clean and well lit and parking is usually available. They have a good selection of kitchen items and are a good place to pick up convenience foods. The only complaint I have is it seems like there are fewer and fewer check out lanes open. Not good! I hope Target steps it up and keeps more lanes open. Shoppers do not want to come to shop and spend time stuck in the checkout lane. read more

I'm personally a big fan of this specific target. This target location is always clean with friendly staff. The staff members always ask if I need assistance or help in any/all departments within the store. This may seem like a silly thing to comment on but this Target ALWAYS has good shopping carts that don't crap out on me halfway through my shopping trip. They don't have wonky wheels, make weird noises, or seem rusted. The Starbucks in the store is always clean and busy. As a male I am pleased to see the new hygiene section filled with beard styling tools, hair styling tools, affordable and nice packaged deals, and great brands such as Harry's. I go to this target weekly and spend way too much here but I will continue to go! read more

Man how I used to love this store. Not so much so since the "New and Improved" remodel. Now there is no concession bar. And they've put in a row of Self-Serve checkouts. It's a good thing as it has gotten as bad as WalMart to get checked out. Target, are you listening?? I come here knowing I pay more than I will at WalMart. Renovations aside (which look great), we were here for an unlocked cell phone and wanted to look at the phone before purchase. We were standing at the counter looking at the phone and asked if the phone would take a particular size SIM card. "Matt" said, rather condescendingly, that "SIM cards are pretty universal," and said he would be happy to help us after we bought the phone. We bought the phone. While still in the store, and in front of Matt, we discovered that the phone, after all, did not take that size SIM card. Matt seemed nonplussed and didn't even apologize for his prior "help" in telling us that the phone would, surely, take that card. Really disappointing customer service, Matt. read more

I'm always a Target fan. This is a decent store. It has a good line of groceries, but not full extended line (meat & produce) that some of the other Louisville Targets are getting. Overall, it is a good, but average Target. A plus for me, is that it is convenient to a Walmart Supercenter, Lowes Home Improvement Center, and a Burlington Coat Factory. The four box stores combined make it a good shopping destination. Personally, I can park at one and walk to the other three. read more

This target is not the best target I have ever gone to because the workers are either older women who are cranky all the time or young lazy girls who don't care about customer service. However, this target does have everything you are looking to find in a target store, which is the reason I go shopping there. They also mislabel deals in the store and argue with you about how the item is ringing up. This can be quite annoying at times but in the end a manager will just tell them to ring up the product for the mislabeled price and apologize to me. So although this target can be a pain, I end up leaving here with more money in my pocket and target bags full of goodies. read more

I used to live in Minneapolis, where you could sneeze and spray three Targets. So I've been to a lot of them. This is a nice one. It's very big and spacious, and has a nice selection of home amenities. (We finally found the coat hooks we've been desperately searching for weeks for. It's larger than most Targets, and laid out very well. I was surprised (pleasantly) to see the grocery section. Not a full big grocery store full of stuff, but stocked decently. I'd happily come back here. No complaints at all on this location. read more

Every girl is obsessed with Target and I am no exception! This isn't one of the nicest target stores but it is still a good one. They recently (probably 6 months ago) reorganized the entire women's department so that it's even bigger! I personally think the clothes have gotten worse in respect to style, price, and quality. But you can always find pretty good deals. I still love the shoes, active wear, and all the home sections. I can't go to target without walking through literally every aisle and picking up about 20 things I don't need just to put them back. There are sometimes some really quality items in the dollar section. But most of them are actually $3. This location has really tiny dressing rooms but they have both men's and women's. They have three check out lanes that are for returns and stuff but they will let you check out over there if you have less than 10 items which is nice. All in all I love target. This is not the best location but it is the closest one to me so I will continue shopping here until I move closer to another one or one opens up closer to me. read more
