I was in the store and they has a new electronic coupon called Circle Offer. On Oct 16th 2021, they put a large sign for sale right in front of all legos. So I went through all the troubles of downloading an app and signing up to get the coupon. However, the "toy" discount does not work for most toy products if not all products. Guess what? However they displayed these signs right in front of most not eligible products. Don't you find it deceptive? How would a large corporation such as Target make such a benign mistake all over many aisles in their store? Here is what happened. A "City Target" nestled in the midst of other stores, shops and people in Westwood. It can be entered on foot at the front and cars can enter a parking structure just past it. The store is smaller than those in the burbs but has essentials and plus other items if you are in need in the area. Departments are neat and shoppable. Bathrooms are tidy and clean. Self check and a cashier to take care of checking out. Plus the parking is convenient in the structure or out on the street. Upon making a purchase you can get your parking validated. This is a great Target but the parking is HORRIBLE! Just tonight I got stuck in the parking garage for 30 minutes because people are not familiar with the new parking system and there was no employee to help. Even worse, I went to the customer service desk to ask an employee to help and they just state it's not their problem because they don't own the parking structure. No employee was willing to help the customers once they left the store implying they do not care about the customer experience at all. Myself and a couple other customers took it upon ourselves to help the patrons who were blocking the exit by taking a picture of their license plate and returning to the store ourselves to validate their parking. The complete lack of care from the store was appalling! read more

This is a "City Target" location which is smaller in size and doesnt have everything that your traditional Target location has. However, you will find most of the stuff you will need here. It even has a Starbucks location inside the store. The store has it's own parking garage and offers free 2-Hour parking with validation which you can validate yourself. This is the closest Target to my house which is unfortunate because every time I come I get trapped in the parking garage. The validation never works so the line gets backed up for 30+ minutes. I'm essentially being held against my will because they can't figure out how to validate for customers. Or they are too cheap to pay for an attendant. Their parking lot is the worst. We got stuck here 3x for over 15 minutes to get out. They should just make it printed tickets again or put a parking attendant to help people get out. Since the new Parking system has been installed, it has been a nightmare. They want you to register your car and give them a credit card number to pay for parking. People do not know how to use the system, which I consider unnecessarily invasive. Parking exit gets backed up, and it is totally miserable. I have waited behind over 20 cars to get out. New parking system is HORRIBLE. When you drive your car down the driveway the ticket meter is fully open and not giving out tickets. Usually when that happens at places that means you don't have to get a ticket or pay for parking. So I go and park my car in a spot. I see a sign in the parking lot that says two hours free parking. Then I go inside and shop. I asked an employee how the parking works because it's not clearly posted as to how the validation works. He says you have to create an account online and attach a card to your profile to park there now. Or you can punch your license plate number in a tiny hidden machine near checkouts. IT'S NO WONDER SO MANY PEOPLE ARE UPSET ABOUT BEING OVERCHARGED FOR PARKING. The older lady beside me who also asked about parking and was upset too because she doesn't know how to create accounts online and didn't have her license plate memorized. Target did not do a good job of making it clear to customers that it's a completely NEW PARKING SYSTEM that's all online now. People are confused, and unless they ask a worker how to do it, they won't know how the new system works, and they'll have to pay $50 to get out of the parking lot otherwise. I'm not creating an online account and attaching my license and credit card to it , just to shop at this target. I won't be returning to this target to shop until the parking system is changed to something less invasive. Not worth it just to park a car to grocery shop. There are plenty of other options for me to go to that won't require me to create an account or punch in my license plate at a kiosk every time I want to go there. read more

Lay out sucks and it's really small. The shelves are always half empty and they never have anything you are actually looking for, even the basic needs. I end up having to buy online 50% of the time. Although I envisioned a 'City Target' being larger, this Target actually has fewer items than ones I'm used to... This Target is located a couple blocks from UCLA, so it was a convenient and quick stop for groceries or any other items on the way home from class or on the weekends. Only downside about being located in Westwood is that certain items can run out quickly due to decreased stock and many shoppers. I appreciate that this Target has a Starbucks located inside (as I believe a majority of Targets do nowadays), and I even came here once to study in the table area. Overall, the store was always pretty well organized and neat. While I came here mostly for cosmetics or snacks, I occasionally browsed through the clothing section or housewares as well. The location is hard to beat, as it's less than a 1 min walk from both Ralph's and Trader Joe's. For anyone looking to hit all 3 spots at once, this is a great Target to visit!! read more

As long as the entrance on Weburn closes at 8pm I will rate this store low. Target expects customers who walk in from the street to walk along a narrow dangerous path for cars only to get in the store. Mind you there are no sidewalks for pedestrians to walk on. This store offers all your household needs from food to cleaning supplies to decor and more. You really can find most of what you need here! What I most love it that it also sells UCLA gear from tees and sweatshirts to more. Carts are easy to find at the front of the store. There is free (less than 2 hours) parking with validation at purchase. Employees are friendly and easy to find. Unfortunately for me this location is the bigger Target in my area, but that's not saying much. This Target does not have a Bullseye section. That is probably the most disappointing part about this location. Their options are very limited. It's smaller than your average Target. Another major downside is their privately owned parking structure. When I say privately owned, it's not privately owned by Target. It's owned by some random 3rd party. That means if you forgot to get your ticket validated or lost your ticket completely, you aren't dealing with a Target employee, you have to talk to some random man that could care less if you just spent $200 in Target. Don't lose your ticket or they'll charge you $50. I only go here because I have to, there isn't a bigger Target near my apartment that is closer than 20 miles away. Anyway, don't go to this one unless you have to. read more

Please be aware that you may witness an argument at this location which I have seen twice. They let non service animals in as well - so watch out for that too. The metropolis parking system at this target will scam you. The sign on the gate instructs you to just drive in because the system records your license plate so you don't need a ticket and that parking is free if under 2 hours. Then when you're trying to leave with cars backed up behind you there is no way out unless you've validated your parking through the metropolis app, which no one would even know exists because the system never tells you this is how you validate parking or that this is required ahead of time. The help button was not working. So you're forced to pay for your time to get out, which was $15 for an hour and a half. Called metropolis and they wouldn't removed the charge. Called multiple lines at target and no one answered. This is a major scam and metropolis is already facing multiple state and federal lawsuits. The fact that target would use this system despite the lawsuits says it all about how much they value the customer experience. read more

Last year they made the switch to automated with lic plate validation.. yesterday I was fleeced for $10.99 to park for 34 mins!! Many annoying things about this store but still useful to have a Target within walking distance. Here are some tips to help optimize your shopping experience: 1) The cell signal in here is dismal, so you can log on to their free wifi (Target Guest Wi-Fi) 2) Search for all items you're purchasing on the Target website and compare the price against the shelf price 3) Check out at Guest Services (or whatever it's called) instead of a regular lane. They will price match their website but only at customer service, located near the parking structure entrance. You will need to show them the price for each item on your smartphone (yes, it is a colossal waste of everyone's time, but on my last several trips I have consistently saved $5-8 off my total bill by doing this). 4) Watch where you're walking. Twice now I have watched people let their dogs poop on the floor in the store (disgusting). They used to have a great selection of Carter's clothes for toddlers but it seems that now they've restricted that clothing line to infant sizes, at least at this store, in favor of more house brands like Circo which are of lower quality. read more

I've never been to a target so big!! They have everything you can possibly need, including a Starbucks. There multiple checkout stations depending on where you exit so waiting in line should be an issue. It's usually the meet up spot because the parking here is the most reasonable around. Target validated and because it's in a garage I feel safest leaving my car here. They have a cool plants section and multiple aisles dedicated to seasonal things. I came after valentine's once to get cheap candy but it sold out quick. It's heavily trafficked so depending on the time of day it could be messy or clean. Could have what you're looking for or be out of it. read more

This "City Target" is fine. It's well curated. I actually found a really awesome shower curtain. But the prices are way jacked up compared to a regular Target - or maybe it's just my WeHo Target is working with a different clientele as compared to this Westside location. Toothpaste that I would pay $3.50 for was $4.59... The hair products I buy at my WeHo Target are $12 each - but $13.50 here. Do NOT go here to stock up on essentials. I only went shopping at this location because I was an hour early for a meeting nearby and I knew we were out of a few key things that make our household work. But the prices are WAY higher than what I'd pay just a few miles away at my local super Target. Parking garage with validated parking. This target is understaffed. I waited for so long at my Drive Up and no one showed up yet. One perk is one time I got all my composition notebook on clearance for either $0.10 or $0.25 each. But the pick up and drive up here sucks. And many time Target has deals that only are only specific for pick up and drive up. read more
