I called Target in Jackson, MS twice at two different times. I called once back in January and then again today. Both times, they pick up the phone and had a conversation going with another employee laughing in the background. So unprofessional. I wish I could have recorded it. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE train these people before allowing them to act at home on a business phone. I ended up calling someplace else a little further away and was able to get what I needed there. I like Target, but it's been sad to see this location, deteriorate every year over the last five years. Never enough check out attendance for the amount of people they have, long lines at checkout, untidy shelves, dirty floors. Just seems like this hasn't been managed well. read more

incompetent employees. i do a drive up order for a couple pairs of pajamas: the shirt was a medium ( correct ) and the bottoms came in an xxl ( WRONG ) so i drive all the way from gluckstadt back to countyline to exchange it. the guy comes back with what i thought was the correct sizes. i check the pants , medium , correct. i leave and go home to put my new pajamas in the wash and to my surprise , medium bottoms (correct) and XL TOP ( WRONG ). i go back AGAIN. this time a woman who for the life of her can't understand what's happening no matter how many times i explain it finally does an exchange. i leave north jackson with medium bottoms ( correct) and a medium top ( also correct ). it only took half a tank of gas and some brain numbing conversations. yes ... im writing this from the parking lot . read more

Driving up to pick up takes foreverrrr. It's like they head out to the floor to get the items when we arrive, and not before.

Thirteen cash registers. Three open. On a Saturday afternoon. My quick in and out for a wireless mouse and a pair of socks turned into a Soviet bread line kind of experience. I only give it a second star because the staff are nice and helpful. Management wise? You'll have to ask them. Target: For gosh sakes! Add self check out lines! Why are there almost always only two check-out clerks resulting in long lines? The young woman at one of the two open registers, who seemed like the supervisor, was efficient and friendly; she called for "quick" response from other staff to open another register. She had to ask three times, but managed to keep her cool, while trying to serve her long line of customers, assist the other check out clerk, and acknowledge and call for someone to help a customer who came in to pick up an online order. Usually nice customer service, however today... It was packed and only two people operating the checkout stations. Lines were staying extremely long into the clothes section. The air conditioner in the building must be broken because it was extremely uncomfortable to shop their today. Left sweating and I'm normally cold natured. It was Miserable. read more

Big parking lot with lots of handicap parking. Clean store that is well stocked. About as much of a grocery selection as a well stocked Big Target. Nice people. read more

This is my one stop shop for everything not groceries or clothes. Not that they aren't building in the groceries department...the clothes are a hit and miss. But everything else this is my store. I can literally spend hours at Target. I can go in for one thing and spend so much time thinking about redecorating every part of my house. I love target. I couldn't move anywhere where a target wasn't within 30 mins. This target in particular is you basic target store. I never have to wait to long in a line. They rarely don't have what I want. The parking lot is well light and security is in the parking lot for your late night run ins. I wish this was a super target but until then this one satisfies my basic needs. read more

Lazy, unmotivated, and rude staff. I came in today brought an item that was encased in added security box. Cashier couldn't get the box to open so she asked for help. They took the item away and left me standing there. They ignored me as they walked by as if they were just waiting for me to walk out. This location target is without a doubt the absolute worst Target in existence. Not only was I accused of "shoplifting" because I was a different skin color than 99% of the employees here, but I also was harassed by the security guard and the older lady, evening, manager. Neither of the two could just accept the fact that I, in-fact, HAD NOT DONE A SINGLE THING WRONG. This is also after he searched my purse, accused me of taking freaking underwear, and also checked my receipts and my bag over 5 different times because of they were dead set on making me out guilty. I was accused after I stated multiple times that I had not touched the underwear nor had I ever even made an attempt to shoplift. Sorry but unlike the people you clearly hang around, I ACTUALLY WORK AND PAY MONEY FOR THINGS I WANT. All while this is going on, multiple times they threatened to call JPD. I simply begged them to call JPD! Never did they follow through with their "threats" though. After about 20 minutes of being completely harassed and humiliated in front of the whole entire staff, customers, everyone who was there got to watch because where they decided to confront me, after both hovering over me the entire time I checked out, was in between the 2 sets of automatic glass doors @ the entrance! Talk about top of the line customer service, target. I really hope someone who can actually do something, sees this and makes it known that this is how your employees at the North Jackson Store, treat their customers. I'm so sick over this whole entire situation because this should have NEVER happened in the first place when I had done nothing wrong except stop into my area target after 10:00pm. I know I'm only one person and you guys are a huge corporation so therefore you probably don't mind losing a "single" customer. That's the funny part about all of this though! I've always received decent service here! There is one cashier that is so friendly and helpful! However, I'm reviewing this particular Target today because I was treated very disrespectfully by front door staff/barista staff because I was not wearing a mask. Maybe I can't wear a mask, maybe I don't want to wear one...regardless of the reason no one deserves to be treated like that. As there is currently no mask mandate, You can ask me to wear one but no patron deserves to be treated disrespectfully for not wearing one. How will a special needs child or adult be treated when they come to your store if they are not going to wear a mask? What about a person that suffers from severe anxiety or PTSD which make mask wearing impossible. How will they be treated by your staff? I personally MIGHT give a staff member a pass for rude behavior if local Covid numbers were dangerously high but that is not the case in our area. read more

I was going to give this store only 3 stars because they only have the limited grocery isle, but then I changed my mind because they are always stocked with everything else, the staff is friendly (usually), and the store is quite clean for a big "super" store. I'd rather go here than Wal-Mart any day. I find this store to be a much better shopping experience than the other Target in the Metro. read more

First, I must start by saying I normally LOVE Target. So, since we were driving through, we stopped to shop. I go to just about every Target I can, on occasion even multiple times a week. HOWEVER, I wonder, why is this Target still open? It's like a bad Wal-Mart! Maybe it's just because of the neighborhood, but if I were an executive at Target, I wouldn't put my name on this place. It was very dirty, especially the bathrooms, but I will spare you those details. Many of the workers seemed like they didn't care, and not one of them smiled. The woman checking us out was more concerned with drinking her slurpee than providing the customer service you usually receive from Target. Target has always been my addiction for the most random things needed in life. I will go to Target for any excuse, it really doesn't take much convincing. With that being said, I was a bit disappointed in the last few visits. The shelves were not fully stocked, the employees seemed to be playing a game of hide and seek at times when they are needed by customers. I do not mind when employees are enjoying their work and have conversations with other employees, but when you see customers waiting in line to check out one would think that would take priority over the hilarious conversation you and your co-workers seem to be engaged in discussing. Just minor observations that management should address. Target prices are often questionably high, or maybe it just seems that way when I get to the register. I think a bit of a pleasant welcome and good vibes can make the experience great for the customers and the employees. I would hope to update my review, because I am a Target fan and I know wonderful employees that I've encountered at this location, but the few times I stopped by kept putting a bad feeling of me not encouraged to return. read more

Terrible management of inventory and half the employees are on their phones and are rude. Specifically, they do not move when customers need to get by or ask if they can help find anything. I spoke with a manager and was given excuses for both. Apparently it's my responsibility to get an employee, point out something isn't on the bare shelf, and ask someone to check the back. She even had the nerve to tell me I lacked basic manners because I should've said "excuse me" sooner to the employee blocking the aisle who looked up at me but went back to texting. Inventory and customer service are not under the managers control in her own eyes, so no doubt this store is doomed to fail. read more

This is one of the messiest targets I've been in. Shelves were not well stocked all around the store, especially in pharmacy and personal grooming sections. Empty carts were left all over the store. I must have seen at least 10 of them. Maybe they were understaffed and it was just a bad day for them but I know that it was a poor target trip for me. read more
