I frequent this Target on a weekly basis. Let's jump right into this review. Target is located at the corner of La Brea and Florence in Inglewood, Home of the Champions ! Pros 1. Staff is personable and friendly. They know my face and name. 2. Store is clean and well organized. 3. Parking is free for the first hour in the lot. NOTE: Street/metered parking available. Cons 1. Smaller Target so it doesn't carry everything a larger/ flagship Target may have in-stock, but they carry a lot of items. I have noted pantry items are sparse. Things to note - Some Items are locked up - hygiene products, etc. It's a nuisance to wait for someone to open the cage and get your item, but we all know what brought this on. The customer service here is terrible. I'm never able to find someone to unlock the merchandise that's behind the locked glass cabinets Beware of purchasing gift cards from this location because a lot of them do show zero balance after paying for them and it's a hassle to get it fixed. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere. read more

I would rate this target a 3.5/3.75 if I could. Brand new location and the building was nice, but the parking garage seemed a bit chaotic. I literally witnessed one car rearend another car while they were both backing out at the same time (no one was injured). The customer service was fine. I wish there were more clearly defined small target stores vs big target stores as I couldn't find everything I needed here and had to go to another target location. I do always end up leaving with more than I planned on thought so props to you Target read more

This is a neighborhood store. Small with a few items in each section. Like every other neighborhood store. This store was clean, well organized and stocked. There is a small Starbucks . Perfect for picking up a few things. I was greeted at the door. They have five self checkout and three cashiers. The association's were ready to assist if needed. First time here. Did Drive Up. So, this is a brand new location. I entered the park off of a side street, so do t look for it on La Brea or Florence. Here's the interesting, odd, weird, whatever you want to call it part about pulling in: It's ticketless, yet restricted. You need to enter your phone number or use a credit card to get in. They give you free parking but record when you get in without a ticket. I've never seen that before. The drive up spaces are right by the parking gate, super easy to find. The drive up rep came out quickly with our order, got it in the trunk and we were on our way. Honestly, a pretty easy trio and transaction. They even had the brand new Zelda game we wanted -- only location pretty close to us that did. *Disclaimer: I don't want to discount the previous reviewer's observations. I haven't gone in, so I haven't seen the locked up (fairly affordable) products and the treatment toward the community. Everytime I go to this location everyone has an attitude, its so freaking annoying I cant wait to get out of there. I have no choice but to use this location because Its down the street from my home. I've bought a couple off steam of make up items at a certain price and they raised the prices but I tried price matching it from their own store and a guy was trying to help me. It was only $2 more but if I could get it down some and save it I would. But a girl kept looking at me up and down and I noticed the whole time and I wasnt gonna say anything. But this isnt the only problem I've had at this store amd it wont be the last. read more

The worst Target I have ever been too and will not be back. I live and work within walking distance and everytime I come to this location I have to wait 15 min for a store employee to come open a locked container. I have made several complaints. They said they were understaffed, poor excuse but ok. So I applied, guess what. They don't want degree individuals who have full availability all weekend. They only want children to work part time. So I can come back to this target. I leave upset everytime. read more

Do NOT go here if you want a simple and typical shopping experience. Everything is locked up which is normal in a lot of areas in LA. However, called someone to unlock the case for some toothpaste (which was $5.99) and rather than handing it to me to add to my basket, they said it would BE AT THE FRONT WAITING FOR ME. If this was my experience at every target I've been to in LA and the USA the sure. BUT, I have yet to have any employee take an item out of a window and have it be waiting for me at a checkout up front (also what is the point of having self checkouts at this location if this is the new "policy") Anyways, I talked to the manager who came to chat with me but could not provide any written documentation regarding this policy in addition to not knowing why other targets I've been to in LA don't follow the same procedure. Personally, since this opened in downtown Inglewood I'm thinking this is probably fueled by racial bias. All in all, you won't catch me back in here but I talked to a man name Juan who works in customer relations at the store and he at least made me feel heard. Overall my advice to management is to provide your employees with concrete information regarding this policy or have it written on the glass where people have to call someone. I truly hope this place doesn't stay long - why come to the community and treat everyone like a flight risk? I understand the clear cases but the clear cases, bringing low cost items up to the register to wait on the customer, AND have security sitting up front? No thanks. I won't be back and do hope target can provide consumers with updated policies for this particular location. Do not shop at Target. Their gift cards often have $0 and it's a huge hassle to get replacements.

Almost everything is locked up, from deodorant to razors. I have to call an employee for each row and case. What I thought was weird, is a lotion I use by CeraVe that is $20 was not locked up. Once an employee retrieves your item from a case, they have to take it to the front of the store. Good luck, I hope you remember all the items you sent to the front. If they don't, it'll stay right there, because all the items are mixed up. If you get an item from the many cases you can forget about using self checkout. This is too time consuming if you have a lot of things to get or you're in a hurry. I live within walking distance and refuse to shop there because of this. The employees are wonderful and extremely helpful! This Target should think about another way to stop theft without making it difficult to shop. Perhaps have employees standing near the isles so they can quickly unlock the cases. They should have a cart with customer's names, and add all the case items to the cart cubby so the cashier at the front isn't searching for ALL the items that had to be unlocked and taken to the front (separately). read more

Not your typical neighborhood Target but rather a micro Target, appropriate for inner city location, where patrons can buy essentials and a few other goodies. The location was small but packed some punch. Good variety of supplemental food items (crackers, popcorn, yogurts, cold cuts) and small amount of essential food items. Hubby was under the weather during our travel, and Target provided the honey, tea, ginger ale elixir he wanted. The clothes sections were really small but again keep in mind, this is a not a standard size Target, so the pov is different than a traditional Target store. I did not see any extended sizes for men's and women's clothes and the children's selection was even smaller. Great Target option to pick up odds and end vs a "full" or traditional Target shopping trip experience. read more

Efficient selection of products. Parking is surprisingly easy. Safe. Great amenity in town.

It's not just the Florence and La Brea Target. They've locked up items at the Imperial Hwy store as well. I haven't seen it so far at the Century Blvd. location but apparently it's to deter theft. Really cuts into honest customer's shopping experience. These are times we live in now. If there were less homelessness and if the economy wasn't so ridiculous in terms of daily living I don't think we'd be seeing all this craziness! COVID didn't help anything either! read more

Mind you, I came here to complete an instacart order. I was with my 1 year old child. We were followed around by security inlet it slide because I know what I came for. The order has formula, which was locked. After asking for assistance the gate was opened but I was told I can grab the items from the front. Why? The store is two feet you can see everything. Then to top it off I had to be rung up by an associate Vs the self check out. When I was asked why? The cashier stated because you bought formula wtf??? I come to this target often because it's close and it's an not an enjoyable experience. Common needed items such as razors are locked up. I don't even like target. It's expensive and if there was a Walmart closer I would be going to that. If you want to get an item you have to call an employee over. Once we press that button an employee should be RUNNING to me. Or have someone on standby. Also you have to get a ticket just to park sometimes. All that work just to have to have necessities locked up. Very stressful read more

Almost everything here is locked up, I came here to buy a phone case but they took half an hour to open the door for some reason. The phone case had a discount and when they our item to the cashier, the cashier ignored me when I said it had a discount. I hate this target! read more
