I bought a beautiful 9 foot long farm table made out of reclaimed wood with solid cherry and maple legs. It is a work of art- the stain is hand rubbed and the patina carries a great glow of warm color. All of their furniture, whether it is from local German Craftsmen in MI or North Carolina studios, is what I call "Museum Quality." Not too many furniture shops can claim this anymore. I find it hard to believe this company would not bend over backwards to correct an issue.

I always thought it was super high end and expensive for some reason. We decided to just browse one Saturday morning and we ended up having a great experience! There is metered street parking in the front of the store, but there's also a large free parking lot behind the building. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and asked if we had been in before. When we said no, the friendly employee gave us the lay of the land and told us there are three floors to the store and that it's much bigger than it seems from the outside. Totally true! I always thought this store was small, but it's really huge. We started browsing through all the setups and were immediately impressed by the styling of each area and all the different items. They have all kinds of furniture, decorations, and rugs. Prices were clearly marked which I appreciated since it shows they're not trying to hide anything. I was pleasantly surprised that I found quite a few things that would fit into our budget, along with higher-end, more expensive pieces. They also have a clearance section which we looked through. The pieces I saw mostly swayed more modern and a little less traditional, which is more my style anyway. Upstairs we found a coffee table that was a major upgrade from our current table, but still in our budget and actually quite affordable. It has a metal base and a glass/ceramic top that looks and feels like marble. Super sleek and sophisticated! Christine was upstairs and asked if we needed any help. We asked her about the process for purchasing as we wouldn't be able to fit the table into our car. She told us that we could pay for it and come back with a larger vehicle, or we could pay $60 for local delivery. SOLD! I am all about that convenience and for $60 they can pack and carry the pretty heavy table. We paid for our purchase and Christine was super awesome with the whole process. I am so glad we finally stopped in to Stonesthrow and I can't wait to go back! She did say that they also do special orders if you know something you want and they are able to get it in store. Highly recommend looking here instead of Wayfair etc. for a local option. They also provide interior design services!

We had a 9 year old couch with severe piling of the fabric on the cushions. We purchased a new…read morecouch from Klingman's and received it on 10/15/24.. It now has piling much worse than our old couch . We went through their service request procedure and it ended up with Klingman's saying it was the manufacturer's problem and they did not cover piling. Klingman's washed their hands of the problem. We went to Klingman's to purchase a quality couch and told the sales person that we would pay extra to get fabric that would not pile. They recommended the fabric we purchased. This is not right that they are not responsible for anything that you purchase.

We recently moved to the area and wanted to replace our 20+ year old furniture. We had several…read moreitems we planned to purchase: couches, chairs, an entry way bench, bedroom suite plus accessories (coffee table, rugs, decor). We stopped at Klingman's and were pleased to discover that they sell Bradenton and Young leather chairs. We have previously purchased this brand and are very familiar and impressed with the quality. We ended up purchasing 3 leather B&Y chairs from Klingman's and it's been nothing but headaches since. First after spending a significant amount of time selecting the right color of leather, we were told that the leather we selected was not available. We spent more time selecting another color. This time, the color we selected was on back order. Our Klingman's Rep blamed B&Y and said their rep is supposed to make sure the leather samples on the sales floor are current. Our rep called B&Y while we were standing next to her and they assured her they had enough leather in stock for the chair we wanted. We placed the order and were told we'd have our chairs before Christmas. Now deliver is delayed to the end of January with no estimated deliver date provided. It's been one delay and one excuse after another. We were told that one chair would be shipped as soon as it was done and the others would be shipped as soon as the leather came in and they were made. Now ALL chairs are on back order and will be delivered at same time. This is after our rep pressured us to buy NOW because a supposed sale was ending and "I will NOT be able to get these prices for you again." We had a much better experience at Talsma. We actually chose to purchase several pieces of furniture from Talsma after this frustrating experience at Klingman's trying to get a few chairs ordered. We ordered our custom couches and chairs from Talsma a week after we placed our Klingman's chairs and we've already had all of those pieces manufactured and delivered. In addition, Talsma prices were lower. The only reason we purchased from Klingman's is because we wanted the B&Y. We'll be happy when we eventually get our chairs (IF we ever get them) but it was a frustrating process that took too long and has impacted our desire to return to Klingman's again. This is not all necessarily the fault of Klingman's or the sales rep we worked with. But IMO Klingman's needs to make significant changes with this vendor in order to improve the customer experience. Ultimately I don't want to wait 3 months for my chairs that were promised in 6 weeks, so I'll go elsewhere. Two stars only because I hope to eventually get the chairs I wanted.

Prices are reasonable, although some of their "boutique" priced items are not what I would consider as an upscale brand. I have been extremely disappointed with Van Hill in the past few years…read more We have furnished our entire house, 2 times over, with Van Hill furniture, but they have gone downhill. A couple of years ago, we purchased a very nice dining table from them. Shortly after purchasing this table, we had a glass of water sitting on the table. The sweat from the glass cause the coating on the table to bubble up and peel off. Van Hill refused to do anything about it, even though it was only a couple of months old. The latest issue is on an extremely expensive section sofa. I did not want to get a power reclining section due to concerns about the life of the electronics. We were sold on it because Van Hill said that all electronics had a lifetime warranty. Well, the power recline feature for one of the seats has now failed for the second time. I spoke to Cory in their service department and he is claiming there is no lifetime warranty and that I will need to purchase replacement electronics.... for a sofa that is only a few years old. There have been other issues with Van Hill, but those are the two largest problems. I would recommend shopping somewhere else.

The couch is very comfortable, but the ottoman came damaged and when they came out to replace it, the second one was damaged too! For as much as this ottoman costs, I would think that there would have been better quality control. The 3rd time it was in good condition, but it shouldn't have taken that many times. I left work early twice.
