This Target is conveniently located off the 15 freeway in Hesperia. My bf were on our way home from Vegas (we live in the OC) and this was the only decent store I spotted on our way home lol. Its a pretty big store, we just needed to grab some snacks and it was our only pitstop before going back on the road. 11:45 pm... Avoid electronics department if a flamboyant Michael is working there. Came to pick up the latest Xbox and he didn't even look he was working for the electronics department. He was too busy getting his flirt on with another young man that also works there while holding a basket so he appeared to be a customer when he was probably just doing go backs. They were so deep in their conversation and made sure not to make eye contact. With both of them in non marked target attire, I sincerely didn't wanna embarrass myself by asking them if they worked there. When I finally saw his name tag and asked him about inventory he dismissed me and said "no" dryly so he could get back to chatting with the young man who was also doing go backs with a basket in his hand. I awkwardly kepy trying to steal glances at their shirts for a name tag so i could be helped and they both ignored me. I'm a huge fan of Target, period. I like being able to get in there and find what I need, and then some. We drive past this Super Target, maybe 3 to 4 times per month, on our way to and from Vegas. This time, we decided to stop and look around. We don't have Super Targets by me...I think the closest is Cerritos and even then, it's super crowded and not really worth the drive. We came in today, on Memorial Day. I expected it to be really full and even though the parking lot was a little thick, you wouldn't know it walking in. The store is so big that it almost seemed a bit empty inside. It was very big and very clean. I didn't walk around the whole store, but where we did walk, associates were actively stocking the shelves and even greeted us and asked how we were, before asking if we needed help finding something. The store is so big that it could seem like you can't find an associate when you need one, but they do have those little call buttons at the end of some aisles to call for help. I used the self checkout lanes and it was smooth sailing. The associate over there was really awesome. She helped us with pricing a few items that were coming up as different prices. Overall, a great experience. Definitely better customer service than the one by me, even though they're not that bad, either. read more

Literally sent 2 hours trying to get a hold of someone in HR to ask about my application and when I finally got through they told me that they couldn't do anything over the phone. I've never had a problem applying to a target before until today was met with terrible customer service and the person who answered the phone was upset that my call finally went through. Since after the holidays I have noticed that this target only has two registers open. Self check out apparently only lets you use 15 items. This place is turning into a Walmart. This is the reason I don't shop at Walmart. The lines of the two registers are always past the clothes like today as well as the self checkout. They need more people and more registers opened! This store sucks so bad and the fruit and veggies never seem fresh or ripe. I'm done coming to this target! They need to fix this! I know many other people have noticed the same. read more

Literally have 1 associate operating a busy line. Not exaggerating but there's was like 30 people waiting for one person. The cashier kept looking at the line but not saying or doing anything to get help... Workers kept walking in and out of the break room in the front and none of them thought to get someone to open another register. I can't imagine being that oblivious to my surrounding. Finally people started getting upset and telling the cashier to call someone else... you can train someone to do transactions but you can't train common sense... read more

I've been going to the Hesperia Target for a few years now. Used to get our groceries at the nearby Walmart because of their superior pickup setup but they were always out of many items. So I prefer going inside to shop masked up even though many Target shelves are also very bare. I purchased two half gallons of their brand Oat Milk. Expiration was Sept 9th and it's July. So I poured my big bowl of cheerios and a banana on top. Pour the milk and even after shaking it as they recommend, it came out all gross like yogurt. So I got another bowl of cheerios and another banana and got the second milk and the same issue. A box of cheerios is over five dollars now plus the bananas. So I took the milk back and got a refund and after the very rude associate wouldn't do any more I asked for the store manager. She was just as rude and not accommodating. I wasn't asking for much. All I wanted was a $5 gift card to replace my box of cheerios and two bananas. I got another brand, more cheerios and bananas and had another negative interaction with a third associate. Then I went to the self check out and even though I have used the wallet feature on the app for years, it asked me to verify my card through a text and email process. This is the THIRD time recently it's done that. I asked the associate WHY? She gives me the lamest answer "I don't Know" If the line behind me wasn't so long I would have stood their at the checkout until she found someone who does know although I'm doubting anyone at that store would know even though she had said on a previous visit it's been happening to many shoppers. So I posted this on Twitter and every other Company that gets a horrible review ALWAYS reaches out quickly to resolve the situation, I get nothing from Target corporate in Minneapolis but crickets. I will take my thousands of dollars we spend on food and other necessities to Walmart. Four interactions with Target associates and all four had attitude. This has to be the worst Target store i have dealt with. The last 2 online orders I have placed missed their 2 hour pickup windows by many hours. Both of these orders having to be picked up the following day. Today I tried calling the store 9 times only to have one call answered then they hung up on me with the remaining 8 never being answered. The shift supervisor that I spoke to when I got there to complain. Advised that they have been behind on orders and that there was nothing she could do. When I told her that I needed the dog food on the list I was told that the store was now closed. I arrived at 9:50pm but since I wasted time talking to her the store closed. Now at 10:29pm I get a message saying one of the items is unavailable. Looking online for somewhere to file a complaint with target corporate is just as easy as calling the store. read more

I'm so disappointed in the drive up service today. I will probably use a drive up service from target at least once a week for the past six months. And every time I go the description of my vehicle is the same a gray sedan. It appeared that today was a very challenging day for them because all of the drive up spots were full and people were parking as close as they could to retrieve their order. The two people they had working both a young girl and an older man we're running back-and-forth back-and-forth so I tried to have some understanding. But I kept hearing my last name being spoken between the two workers as I sat in my car and waited for close to 40 minutes to get my order. Not one time did either one of them come out to my vehicle and ask for the last name. Mind you I am the only sedan in the drive up section all other vehicles around me were a compact vehicle SUVs and trucks. It would have been so much simpler if they would have just asked me can you verify the name on the order. But I watch them go back-and-forth back-and-forth only to find out 40 minutes later that my bag was sitting in the car the whole time and not one time did either one of them bother to ask me. Moving forward if I can help it I will not be using the drive up service from target. And all the times that I have used to drive up service not one time has anyone looked at my vehicle and thought that this might not be a certain shade of gray. But when I asked the gentleman that was working he said "well The description says gray sedan" And then he proceeds to laugh and look at my car. I just stood there looking at him trying my hardest to not ruin his day . I truly hope that moving forward if they have confusion on a variant of a color that they will take the customer in mind and just stop for five seconds and ask. read more

This review is based solely on the customer service I received from a nice gal named Dakota. She was extremely professional and courteous with me when I came to pick up my online order. Granted the entire order wasn't filled, but once again this review is only based on the service I received from said employee. It makes a huge difference in the shopping experience when you have employees who care, or at least pretend to care. Imo, Dakota showed the former. if I had to rate the overall experience, it would def be lower because of how Target inadequately handles their inventory. Kudos again to Dakota for showing the kind of care and enthusiasm you need to have in the retail/service industry. I've worked in sales and service my entire life, so it matters to me when I go into any establishment. Management, I hope you see this and give her a well deserved raise. Running my own business has taught me what to look for in employees. She has shown the traits. One thing I will add, is to avoid the Apple Valley location on Bear Valley. The operation they run there is a total shit show and employees obviously don't care about their job and have no sense of taking responsibility on anything. It was a terrible experience and I honestly was expecting the same treatment over in Hesperia. I'm happy that I was proven wrong. I had to laugh at this place today. I returned a printer and happily, there wasn't a line. I ordered this printer online so I had an emailed copy of the delivery confirmation which is also used as the receipt if you need to return or exchange. I took a screen shot because I can never find things (I need 4 accounts for various reasons). She said they can't accept a screen shot. I told her it's the same as the original. Gee, let me get the knowledge to make a fake screen shot. I'm pretty smart but don't even know how to do this. I found the email and laughed in my head! The store is being remodeled and looks choppy and the store doesn't flow well. The shelves in the cosmetics area were empty in several spots. I understand you are remodeling, but get a night crew so your customers are not inconvenienced. The Starbucks was a complete mess with the barista being annoyed as well as annoying to us. I would go as far as to say the Starbucks was filthy. Both behind the counter and seating area. My drink was made too strong so I asked her to add more milk. She filled my cup so high, it overflowed but I let it drip on her and not me. The employees seem so unhappy. Clean up and cheer up. It only takes a minute or two. read more

This is by far the worst store I have ever been in!!!! I'm looking around for someone to help me in one of the departments, and I get told, "oh let me go look for the person that's in this department",so you know where this is going...and then no one ever comes to help me. So I start walking around and I see a group of people in red shirts talking to each other as if they're on break. I approach one of them and they said let me radio for somebody to come help you. And it looks like they get on their radio to do so, but then they leave and walk away. of course I never have gotten any help. They clearly do not have the customer in mind and are quite comfortable lying to your face. They pair as if they want to help you, but it's all smoke and mirrors. I also passed by a group of target employees who were laughing and having a great time making fun of what sounded like another employee there. One of them in the group look like a manager. The store is horrible. They have some employees that seem to actually care and are kind but that seems to be few and far between. Do yourself a favor and go to the apple Valley store or the Jess Ranch store. Yes, you may have to drive a little bit farther or go to a smaller store, but they actually seem to give a crap about the customer. I think it'll be sometime before I ever go back into this one. read more

Their drive up is the worst I've ever experienced. Every time I come here, they're packed at the drive up but literally no one will be out there handing out orders. Then they start setting up their e-z up which i get, it's hot, but I don't think it takes 4 people to set it up. Meanwhile all the drive up spaces are taken and cars all around have their hazards on because they're waiting for orders too. I had to go inside after 40 minutes of waiting. Then I find someone doing drive up, give her my info and she says "looks like you've only been waiting 22 minutes" excuse me? It had been 40, but I even if it was 22 minutes, that is still a long time for drive up. I could've done my shopping in that time. I do the drive up for the convenience of my medical condition. I finally ended up meeting a competent young lady at the order pickup who was fast, extremely nice and very apologetic. The rest about this target sucks. Won't be coming back. I shouldn't have had to come inside after waiting 40 minutes for 10 items. Absolutely ridiculous. Whoever is managing this place deserves to be fired too. It's a circus in there. read more

So, when I needed a bathroom break on the drive home from Vegas - and the newly won dollars in my pocket were curious to see the inside of the registers at Super Target - this was the perfect spot. Best Target I've ever been to in my life! I always make at LEAST one stop here whenever I visit my mom in Hesperia (and she always loves an excuse to go). It's a gigantic, clean, well-kept and organized store, with ample parking. And who doesn't love Target? It also has... - Starbucks - Bakery - Full grocery section, including organics, gourmet cheese, meat and produce, with prices significantly lower than any other major grocery store, and items that other stores don't carry - Deli and in-store prepared foods - Full liquor aisle - Samples on the weekends! - Makeup section attendant - Huge women's clothing section - Pizza Hut Express as well as the regular Target food counter I love (popcorn, corn dogs, that bomb California Chicken Salad) I seriously just like to hang out here. Worst company to work with or work under. They focus in ruining the personal lives of their employees and take advantage of their workers. Development programs are designed to "delegate" the work responsibly of management and fill up gaps of poor management hiring. Development is designed to give false hopes to workers so management can take advantage of them with out the pay raise. The employee turnover rate has increasingly gotten worse over the last year. They want open availability with fluctuating hours scheduled into it. One week you'll earn 40 hours and the next it's 15 hrs. No consistency and unlivable scheduling to employees. What's worse is the empty promises they will fuel you with Hope so management can then "encourage" to you work harder and dump you when your done. "Team" is a false word to make employees feel included to the development of the company. Most managers from the previous have left due to hostile work environment. Good employees are screwed over for working too good. Talk about toxic work environment. If you work there don't work past your wage not worth it. If you love brown nosing until your a fifty year old man to be a basic manager at a toxic work environment this is the place for you. ;) read more

Every time I've been here I thought it was just a mess because I'm coming at the end of the day.. but even coming at opening the shoe section looks like Black Friday, the shelves in the toiletries and cleaning supplies are bare and disorganized, and it's impossible to find anything. It's getting frustrating to shop here; I've resorted to buying online and picking up in-store because nothing is ever in stock, let alone organized. I really find it disgusting that Target allows people to put their dog blankets in their grocery carts with their Dog in the cart. ( the blanket wasn't clean at all and the dog, not a service dog ) The poochie was adorable, but people put their food in these carts. This isn't sanitary, and I'm sure not following health codes. Plus the same girls dropped their change on the floor and didnt pick it up, she just left it there as if there's no value of money. Nice set up and great selection, this is the nicest of 3 Targets in my area, of course also the furthest away, but I still like to stop here. They have a large grocery selection, bakery which sells Einstein Bros Bagels, and your usual Target assortment. They have alot of clearance in all areas which I always love to look out for. I have always been a regular at this store before the remodel I loved it. It was the only grocery store I used. Now it's horrible they are always out of items, their variety has changed, prices went way up, and the actual store is a pain in the butt to navigate.
