They fixed an error on the receipt where I was charged twice. Nice 10% off veterans discount.

Maria provided great customer service to our family today. I am a veteran, and in the Target app, I was given 10% off for two purchases between 10/29 and 11/11. After my items were rang up, I wasn't sure if my 10% had been accounted for. Maria was kind and patient and said it hadn't been accounted for. She asked me to open the app, and she asked permission to touch my phone before she swiped and showed me where the offer had to be activated by me. Then she scanned the barcode in the app, and I saw the discount applied. I appreciate Maria's patience and respect. She didn't just put her fingers on my phone, she asked for permission. She's definitely a rare gem. When I left the store, I looked at my receipt and realized I had been charged twice for toilet paper, and we had only purchased one. I returned to the store (about three minutes later) and explained the situation. Customer service was efficient, and completed my refund since I was incorrectly charged for two. Thank you, Target, for allowing my family and I to purchase items in a clean store and feel respected while we did it. On another note, it was pretty cool to see the samples of cat food and chocolate being offered at the front of the store near produce. Thanks again.

The very next day, the sales lady contacted me from her personal phone (which was already unprofessional) to tell me they had oversold the sofa and would need to issue a refund. I waited two weeks and still hadn't received anything, so I called the store--only to deal with lies and excuses. They kept saying my refund was "processed," but it clearly wasn't. Half the time they didn't answer the phone, and a few times they literally picked up and hung up immediately. I live an hour away, so going in person wasn't realistic. Customer support told me I had to get the refund directly through the store. My bank said a dispute would take up to 90 days, so I was stuck depending on them. After two and a half months of getting the runaround, I finally filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau on Monday--and suddenly my refund showed up on Wednesday night. It should NOT take a BBB complaint for a company to return money for an item they never delivered. The whole situation was stressful, drawn out, and incredibly unprofessional. Next time I'll just shop at Living Spaces.
