Target - Department Stores Near Me - Hanover, Pennsylvania

(This visit was made during the times of Covidious earlier this month. When things return to a look of normality - your experience likely will vary.) The old lady decided on a whim that she wanted to stop here to find a particular birthday present for her niece. According to the Target website this store had it in stock and ready to go. We get here and head to their toy department and the section in general is a mess. Lots of empty shelf spaces, slopped up displays, etc. Also, of course, said items were nowhere to be seen. Also not to be seen were any employees to ask for help but eventually she tracks down someone over in electronics who calls someone, who calls someone, who calls someone who confirms that the website is wrong-no they don't have this item-it's supposedly not available in store as he claimed it was online only. So be it except we decided on our way to the hotel in York to stop at the Target there on York Crossing Drive and naturally they had it in stock. Never. Again. read more

I had an employee by the name of Sergio check me out and he was giving me an attitude. Earlier on, I was shopping around the makeup section and i heard him mumble racial slurs to himself. I found this quite shocking and believe targets manager should have a word with him. read more

Was told there was no pride section when i asked a team member. They said that it was up to management whether to do it this year or not and their management team decided not to because some people didn't like it. I really thought Target was about inclusion. Very disappointed and will stick with the West York location from now on because they chose to do the right thing. read more

I was desperately calling the store to see if they had an item I misplaced yesterday and nobody answered. I called 6 times to different departments and never got an answer. I am so frustrated with the Hanover Target. I was on each call for over 5 minutes, waiting for someone to be kind. read more

Very unhappy with my service tonight. I bought a hoverboard at this store and got home to open it and find it was used and broken. It was too late to take it back, so tried to turn it off and the light stayed on causing it to get warm. Contacted the online customer services since store is closed and then informed me to place it in the oven or closet that was completely unhelpful. read more

I'm sure I've said it all. Target is great. The extra you pay over Walmart is worth the convenience of not having to deal with Walmart. You know it, so say it with me: T-A-R-G-E-T. For some reason, this was the only Target showing up in Yelp and I'm not able to confirm the address, even through Target. We're having some crazy thunderstorms so maybe that has something to do with it. They were in a shopping center with quite a few other stores, including Rue21, which I thought was rather upscale, but I didn't see any indoor mall in town. In any case, I was heading to Utz Snacks to take their tour and bask in the glow of their chip fryers. After that, I was hungry and returned to a Target store I'd passed on the way down State Road 94/Carlisle Pike. It looks as though it was built recently and it has a Starbucks and mini snack bar. I bought an Archer Farms Ham And Cheese sandwich on Ciabatta bread and a soda. I don't normally go for bread but there weren't many choices, except in the quick take fridge. It really liked it but toward the end, I picked up the cheese, lettuce, and meat and pretended to be 6 years old. Well, it was just about not eating the bread. I didn't cry or anything when I didn't get my way. After eating, I proceeded to the health and beauty section and found things where they usually are in every Target store, which is a plus. Target is great. Target seems to always be great. I was in Hanover on vacation and needed a couple of things from this Target, including a cute bathing suit (which always seems like trying to find a needle in a haystack near my house). I bought that and a couple of things for my boytoy (my actual boyfriend, please don't freak out). They were never crowded (I visited several times), their employees were always on the floor doing their jobs and keeping the store clean and organized, and they were clean (floors, bathrooms, fitting rooms, etc.). Everyone I encountered was really nice, and young lady at the customer service section was really cool about letting me exchange a pair of shorts after my boyfriend ripped off the tags. They have a Starbucks, which is cool if you're into that sort of thing. Check-out was a breeze, and so was parking, so just go there already! read more

I love this Target! Grew up going to the one in Westminster, and as much as it pains me to admit it, I like this one better! It's a bigger store, but it's always clean and the employees are friendly and helpful 99% of the time. I also love that even on their "busy" days, it never really feels crowded. I've always had a very pleasant shopping experience at this store.It is definitely worth going an extra few miles to avoid Wal-Mart and honestly, I think their prices are better on some items. read more

After reading the other reviews I'm even more upset. Do they pick and choose who they are nice to? Did I go in at a bad time? The employees were rude, and couldn't answer the simplest questions. It took 5 people to figure out that they had discontinued a product. Which totally screwed me over. Maybe don't have your staff push products that you know next month will be off the shelf and they will no longer be able to get!! I will never return to this or ANY target ever! I'll stick to the small privately owned shops from now on. But thanks for wasting my time and hundreds of dollars I really appreciate that!! read more
