I was there at 7:30am to pick up an online order. I went in to grab a few things. I needed a face moisturizer that was locked up. In the span of 20mins I asked 4 people for assistance and they all said someone was coming. After the 20mins I approached an Asian man with blonde hair and told him I'd been waiting on 3 people for 20 mins, he goes "yeah I'll be there in a second". I walk off and the lady next to him who also works there mumbles something about me saying I waited 20mins. This place is too big in my opinion. There are large Targets, but this one puts my step totals through the stratosphere. Is that a healthy thing? Sure! Yet if you're looking for a couple quick items, that more likely than not won't be happening. A strange layout too, as televisions are right up on the front door. Perhaps this makes loading a car with newly purchased electronics easier, but I find it a bit unusual. They definitely have everything and more, that you could be looking for. The grocery prices have gone up a lot, and I choose Aldi, Lidl, or Walmart to save money. This is an impressive facility, and there are plenty of helpful employees. That is pleasant as is the parking lot, as it offers a lot of spots to put your vehicle at. Getting in and out of here isn't fun during rush hour, as route 50 is a cluster. i like this target. they have a whole ulta in it. i was so confused bec the products were so nice and then i realized it was an ulta within target. i like this one better than mosaic bec it's less congested. i was able to get the kids graphic tees, makeup and beauty stuff for myself, and some over the counter meds for cold/flu season coming up. did my target visit with my starbucks (onsite) drip coffee. nice people. clean bathroom. read more

I still love this Target. If I need to buy groceries and tank tops and light bulbs and bath mats and vitamins, this is where you'll find me. There are plenty of Target stores in the area, but this one is my favorite. It's spacious, generally well stocked, and has friendly employees who are really helpful. Lots of parking, easy access to other stores in the strip mall, and convenient location off route 50. Multiple self checkout lines, so people like me who prefer to ring and bag our own items can easily do so. The cvs pharmacy inside has generous hours, and there is also a Starbucks that is significantly better than the one in the Safeway on the other side of the strip mall. If you want Starbucks and are in this parking lot, come here instead of Safeway. My only major complaint is that the bathrooms were renovated within the past year but are still usually in poor condition. I don't know why patrons feel the need to trash them, but it's an unfortunate reality read more

I was looking for Trader Joe's and noticed a Target, so I went to Target instead. I wanted to buy organic popcorn without sugar added and I found some with only organic olive oil and Himalayan salt for $2.29, so I bought four bags. Good deal. I also bought some organic pasta sauce without sugar added. Besides buying a .15 cent composition book on clearance I also purchased some tasty, spicy, seasoned, organic tofu with curry (without dairy). I just ate it and it was great. I was disappointed that Target did not have more organic food. They sell several items, but most of them have sugar added or were more expensive than other stores. If I did not already have plenty of tea I would have examined their organic teas, but their brand organic green tea is not very good. I need organic honey, but they only sell conventional honey. Not good. I used self-checkout and it was fine. However, there was a message on the machine about a change shortage requiring me to use a debit or credit card if I did not have correct change. Cash back still worked though. I may return to this Target, but I hope they carry more healthy organic food at decent prices. They had a few tempting organic items with too much processed sugar in my opinion. read more

My son was so excited to go to the toy section that he wanted to be let out of the cart he was sitting on. I barely let my son out of the cart but I decided that he can choose a toy for himself as he explores the toy section. I let him out and he was just over the moon. As we go through the aisles, I realized an employee was uncomfortably staring at us. I said, "excuse me", no response. I waved, still no response. I then asked, "are you okay?". He finally spoke up after a while and just told me "watch your kid". I replied, "I am watching my kid". I was so offended and hurt by what had just happened I get the need to say something. I spoke to the manager and I explained exactly what I had mentioned here. I pointed out the employee and the manager told me he would talk to him. I just left feeling unsettled. I am an autism mom. My son isn't able to experience a lot of what other kids get to experience. He is always told no, and always sitting in a cart. I just wanted him to enjoy this moment of picking out his own toy. This target is my home store it's clean it's great and the staff is warm and friendly. The 2 stars is for the fact that for probably more than 10x now the grocery store and others items are off. Mostly grocery items. But I constantly have to run back through the store & take a photo to show them that what they have listed and what is ringing up is consistently wrong. After discovering that Costco didn't carry it and Target in Alexandria didn't have any left, Target in Falls Church held the only remaining hope for a LeapFrog Leapster L-Max Learning Game System. We consulted Google maps in the parking lot of the Alexandria Target and vowed to get 'er done, as it were. Friday rush hour traffic be dammed, we had a portable learning game to procure before the weekend could officially begin! Though we'd been told they had 10 of them in stock in Falls Church, I argued that this was no time for us to be tentative - we needed to get there before anyone else could make a run on this sought-after LeapFrog Leapster handheld. Once inside the store I headed straight for the toy section. Lo and behold, they really did have 10 of them! We breathed a sigh of relief. This is a rating of Target's "grocery store" section. It is highly unreliable! Most times by 3 or 4pm their meat selection is completely wiped out or was never restocked from the day before. Similarly, with their fruits and vegetables. The shelves have a very Soviet Union vibe. Might as well go a bit further to a nearby, fully stocked Safeway and not waste your time at Target food shopping. read more

I either go to this Target, or the one in Potomac Yards depending on where I am coming from or what other errands I need. I prefer this Target over Potomac Yards; it seems less consistently crowded, and the parking lot is much easier to navigate. The inside of the Target also seems more organized than Potomac Yards, but it probably has to do with it being frequently less crowded. It has a grocery section which is convenient. This Target also has an optical section, and the staff in their optical is incredibly friendly and helpful. read more

This target is great. I came here hoping to pick up a shower curtain and a few other essentials. I was delightfully surprised to find that they have a vast grocery selection. Fruits, vegetables, meats, cheeses, milk, and yogurt -- on top of your non perishables and frozen items. I walked up to a lady and asked "Excuse me ma'am, do you know where I can find trash bags?" She says "No, its my second day. But I'll take your trash and throw it away for you". I thought that was so cute. I explained to her what I really needed and she helped me figure it out. Later on I said to my boyfriend out loud "where did they say that paper towels were again?" and right next to us two Target workers said "Oh! We can help you find those". The only reason why I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is because of their in-store starbucks. There wasn't anyone there, and my coffee took quite awhile for them to make. Although this is no longer the closest Target to me (hello Tinner Hill!), I still end up coming here fairly frequently because it has a much bigger selection merchandise than the other location. I tend to buy children's clothing and shoes, but usually end up leaving with a bunch of other groceries, household items, and personal care products that I didn't need. Target will do that to ya! If it says an item is in stock online, it's pretty frustrating to drive all the way to the store, only to find out every single item you needed is actually out of stock completely. Keep in mind I looked online only about 10 minutes before I showed up. I also checked the website again in the store and items were still listed as in-stock online for some reason. read more

This is a big Target and the only one closest to Arlington! It does stock most of the items found at other Targets but I wish the customer service were a tad bit better. I consider this my "home" Target. I have yet to come here and not find what I am looking for. Usually I'm looking for clothing or household items. Their grocery is well-stocked, too. As most of us have experienced, one of the few problems possible with going to Target is that you'll end up leaving with more than you bargained for. That has definitely happened to me at this location. It took a good dose of self-control for me not to run off with a bunch of Halloween decorations and a costume. Definitely look here for your seasonal decoration needs if you run out of other things to shop for. read more

I really like this target. It's my goto when I'm too impatient to wait for Amazon deliveries. I generally go at off hours so I don't run into the same issues that people do when shopping during prime time like tight parking lots and long lines. My only complaint is the logistics of the parking lot since there are lots of stop signs. read more

Racists and threatened to call security on me because I said an associate named "Feben" was rude because they were closing in 10 minutes and she rudely told me to get off the rack I was touching and get in line. Mind you lots of ppl were still shopping and she singled me out. To make matters worse she rushed me and my kids out the store so fast I didn't get a receipt. They accidentally overcharged me for a purchase, but I noticed before I left the store. After a half-hour wait, customer service was allegedly able to reverse the incorrect charge and charge me for the correct amount. However, when I looked at my online bank statement, I saw that I had actually been charged 3 times for the same purchase. Essentially I was out about $75. Target refused to correct the error by refunding my money, telling me I had to take it up with my bank. Below is the actual email they sent me: I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you had with a recent transaction at our Falls Church Target store. If you haven't filed a dispute with your financial institution, please do so right away. Instructions for filing a dispute can be found on the back of your account statement. I am a former Target employee in Texas from 2006-2011. I have always liked shopping at Target and used to get everything from clothing to food to living basics. The bad service and ill-stocked Target stores in this area have changed me. I have never had a good experience at this Target. Target team members are not knowledgable. The lines at check out are always long. Things are frequently not stocked or stocked in the wrong place. Numerous times I have asked for assistance, the team member will pretend to look it up on his or her PDA and then tell me they don't have whatever it is. I used to go to Target at least once a week. Now I go every other month. These crummy Targets make it really easy to buy local and kick the big-box habit. It is slightly better than the Skyline location though. read more

Every time I step into 6100 Arlington Blvd, I am abruptly reminded at how degraded humanity has become. Literally. It absolutely pains me to step into this Target, but given that it is the closest to my house (and given the geopolitics of the DC area), I find myself constantly returning in the hopes that i will be running in and out before I my eyes can witness the degradation of human beings and the United States of America. This "degradation" I speak of refers to the frazzled mothers who bring their 4 kids (5 and under) to this store and let them run wild, completely oblivious to the destruction they are causing not only to other patrons but to the store itself. Once I encountered a mother screaming her child's name at the top of her lungs as if she were in some pissed off mother her own home behind closed doors. You're not, lady. But, for some reason, every time I shop here I seem to run into these people. WHY ME??!! Same experience as Miriam. I always refer to this as a Super Target, although I don't if it is. It's just so huge! I can't figure out what they have that normal Targets don't, maybe it's just more of everything... Every time I get to the Alexandria Target in search of some recently clearanced or sale item and realize it's out of stock, I make a mad dash over to the Super Target (a.k.a "Skyline Target") and I'm relieved to find dozens available. Two winters ago it was for a pair of snow boots, which I'd put off on finding until it was well past the season and every store had long ago discounted and sold out. If you've trekked it out to Super Target, there are a few other establishments worth checking out. Pull up the yelp map and scroll west, lots of great chinese and asian food. Nice area for Dim Sum on the weekends. read more
