I know what you're thinking. You're thinking I have some sort of out and out demented issue regarding Target-well I do. When I was growing up it was K-Mart, Bradlees or the occasional Wal-Mart-well homie don't play that. One reason to keep an eye on Target locations outside of the major metropolitan area is to see how things stack up with the Go International Designer collections-now on the Jovovich/Hawk line for spring I was pleasantly surprised to find most items from the line available (the bikinis seem to have been ransacked) and even purchased a black eyelet tunic-which for all my damn talking about it is the first time i have bought anything from any of the GO lines. read more

Placed an order for Drive up pick up and half of my purchases was not given to me. Unfortunately I did not realized until I was home. I called to have someone assist me and when I asked to speak with with manager the woman on the other line chuckled. I was told they can not assist me and I have to go back. With a new born this is nearly impossible. Sadly I like the company but going forward I will be purchasing online. read more

I had ordered an item online for store pickup and jetted over during my lunch break to pick it up. The fulfillment of the order was performed very quickly and I was thankful this location had my item in stock, as the location nearest to me was out of stock. I like starting with the positive aspects in my reviews so I will say that the gentleman who helped me was very nice. It did take a little longer than I'd hoped for my item to be retrieved once I arrived for pickup, and although there was another open register, a line of customers formed relatively quickly as I waited. The Guest Services representative who helped me apologized and once I signed for the merchandise and presented my ID, I was on my merry way back to the office. This is only my second time visiting this Target location but if my Guest Services observations are any indication of the way the store is managed as a whole, I wouldn't place much confidence in a positive shopping experience in the future. I wasn't too impressed with the presentation of the ladies at Guest Services- they were not poised or professional and the general area seemed to be lacking a good operations system. None of us leap out of bed every morning in cheerful anticipation for the workday ahead but it's discouraging that in many places, professionalism and true customer service has been rendered all but obsolete, and that it's become acceptable for employees to carry on without much social grace or propriety. Sorry Target East Hanover...you didn't wow me today. I believe in second chances so I'll give it another go the next time I'm in the area. read more

The problem I have is that some item remain stale on the shelf and they keep playing the same video in the electronic department for the last 2 years. Today I had one of the most outstanding customer service experiences ever. To start, I wanted to pick up two chaise lounges. But they were too heavy and long to put into my cart. I found a target employee who immediately pulled over a long cart and told me to wait by customer service. This gentleman (I'm sorry but i forgot names) waited with me until I connected with the other gentleman behind the counter. This alone was a move that went above and beyond. Next, when the customer service rep. noticed i had a long cart, he asked me if I needed help putting the lounge chairs in my car. Yet another proactive customer service move. I of course said yes. A third gentleman wheeled the long cart to my car and worked with me for almost an hour trying to fit them in. The ending of this story is that i couldn't fit both in so I had to come back to the store where the second chair was waiting for me. I will definitely come back to this target again. The level of professionalism and customer service truly had me wowed. read more

Rude nasty employees. Store has everything you need, it's a basic target but their staff - sucks. Last time I went they sold me a camera without the camera in the box.. went back the next day and they didn't even have the camera.. waited in target for 40 minutes for the "tech guy" to tell me they don't have the camera. Today got asked to leave for bringing my service dog with me, feels great exposing yourself in a pandemic just to be told I'm getting kicked out. I can't say anything terrible about this target but then again I can't say anything wonderful, either. I've been in other target stores where they have a Starbucks and it's bigger and it's better. Called the 1-800 number and they assured me that it was in stock. After driving 50 minutes, found out it wasn't. Customer service lady didn't acknowledge my statement about the phones. The store was empty and lots of associates around. She did try to find my item but it truly wasn't in stock. Offered no apology for the situation. 1-800 number also didn't. If this Target weren't right next to Costco, I'd never set foot here again. It is simply not well run. The service desk in particular just doesn't have a clue. I could continue further, but here are two examples Online Order pickup - Multiple experiences. They simply can't be bothered to go find your items. Once after not receiving notification the order was ready for three days I happen to be there for something else and ask about my order. The woman blames target.com and does nothing. Long story short, they were being lazy. Why I tried another online order I'm not sure, but I did. Surprised to receive notification that my order was ready the next day rather than a week later, I show up to the service desk only to find they had picked only half of the items. I was then told to just go get the items myself. I could have walked out of the store with anything at this point and they simply would not have cared. Returning a gift with a receipt, I immediately tell the woman the item was a gift. She completely ignores me and processes the return to the credit card it was purchased on. Wow, thanks. They did manage to reverse this somehow and provide a gift card, but not after wasting a bunch of time read more

No real complaints with this Target, they usually have everything I need in stock when I stop in and with the addition of the self-checkout lines, I can get in and out quickly. Place is fairly neat and organized, nothing special. I do miss the Target Cafe' where I could grab something quick to eat like a hot dog, or something from Pizza Hut express. It's been replaced by a Starbucks which isn't bad though I used the cafe' more and I'm not a big coffee person.The expanded grocery section is always a welcome sight. I LOVE Target...but this store is so frustrating! Lots of shelves are empty, the garbages are always overflowing, you can't find anyone to help you and the food is usually very close to experation or already expired. Today i needed milk and all of the gallons expire tomorrow! I also had 2 $3 off coupons for diapers. I got 2 boxes, the cashier scanned both and it was clear that they didnt go through but he said they did. Once i got my receipt i looked it over and the coupons did not come off. I asked for them back so i could use them another time. He said that i never gave them to him/he couldnt find them. I personally think since they didnt scan he threw them in the garbage quick so he didnt have to deal with it. I spent over $300 and my box of wet dog food was left behind. I tried calling the store to see if they had it and someone kept picking up and hanging up. My relaxing sunday has turned into a major headache! Now i have to go back. The employees here are terrible !! They'll stand and talk to one another blocking your way of walking and won't even acknowledge you when you say excuse me. I once needed help at self check out the employee continued her conversation with another employee while helping me not acknowledging me while speaking even when I said thank you continued her gossiping. read more

Ok, I basically live here. I'm probably here at least once a week if not more, buying stuff that I don't need and that isn't on my list. But I'm always getting a bargain so I keep going back! It's just like most Targets, though it does have fresh produce; not to mention, there's a Starbucks when you need a pick me up to get through all your shopping. It's clean and basically organized (not so much in the shoe department though). They have a good selection of kids clothing, bath and housewares, food, and quite possibly, anything you might be looking for. The list is endless. I can go here and get bananas and clothes for my kid, some shoes, windshield washer fluid, pillows, Halloween candy, dishes, furniture, baby items, Christmas lights, plus there's a pharmacy; you can even get a flu shot here; pretty much anything and everything. The staff here is decent. I usually only encounter someone when I'm returning something or price matching. Returns are so easy here. Its location right off Route 10 makes it an easy stop, which is both convenient and painful for my wallet! read more

I like this Target to a point. It's large and spacious and now has a grocery section. In general, I like one stop mass conglomerates like Target, Walmart, Costco, because they save time and money and help me get in and out. Usually I find everything and it's priced appropriately. What I'm not fond of are the customers and customer service at this particular Target. I don't know what it is, whether Miami Mike's customers shop here while not drinking there and staying at the Ramada or maybe they ship them from the awful Costco next door...but seriously?! The entrance is to the right of the building so parking in front of the entrance is never possible and you have to fight the never ending carts and Martians in the parking lot. Yes, Martians! I come in with a list, I come out (usually much later then I would like because of the lines) with the stuff I need. I fight to get back to my car and the God awful exit onto Rt. 10 and I'm glad it's over. One star for all the stuff and one star that it's not a K-Mart. read more

I've been to a few Targets and this is my least favorite. I collect blu rays and they use spider wrap anti theft devices on A LOT of their blu rays. I get why they use them but they damage the casings. Best Buy which is right down the road also sells blu rays and they don't need to use these spider wraps, so I'm sure if Target wanted to find alternate ways to prevent theft, they could. The store looks bad compared to other Targets and the employees are hit or miss. I've had good service from some but some you can tell don't even want to be there. Maybe I can't blame them lol. The only reason I go to this Target is because it is the closest one but if I have a reason to, I will go out of my way to avoid this Target. read more

Okay, so I'm reading a lot of these reviews and let me say as someone who's worked at target early mornings (4am and on) you people REALLY don't understand the in's and out's of the business and the things that happen behind the scenes and are just talking to talk. Most of the customers I've personally dealt with walk into the store with some type of attitude and think employees are there to take their non-sensible attitude, which you are sorely mistaken. We're there to help, not take attitude from someone because an item wasn't on sale that you expected or because an item is sold out or is online only and or because the store hasn't received it yet from the DC (The people who stock our trucks everyday with shipments, we don't control when items come in, the company itself does based on item sales). Secondly, most of the morning teammates are on break at 9 am because they've been there since 3-4 am and in the state of NJ you can't work more than 6 hours without a 30 min break. So you do the math. Bathrooms are cleaned everyday at 7am and by the time the store opens at 8 customers come in a ruin them. All Jersey is an outside company who comes in and cleans the whole store overnight, and aren't there throughout the day. So you can actually blame the bad bathrooms on some customers who simply don't clean up after themselves or purposefully destroy these facilities, which no lie is our responsibility too, so I can't get too mad at that, but its the customers job too to at least leave the bathroom decent for others. Now regarding the cashier situations, we are in the middle of the school year, who's going to be on cashier when majority of the workers that are there in the morning are there to stock the floor and have no cashier training? I can understand that issue with the afternoon staff, but in the morning when there are literally about 15-25 team members for the whole store not to mention also the backroom team who has has to stock and pull items from the back. Please don't look at this as me trying to defend Target employees, but to actually educate you people on some of the reasons why certain things happen. Trust, it's not the management, its the outside forces of late shipments, low numbers of team members working morning shifts with workloads that make ABSOLUTELY no sense. Don't get me wrong, it's a good place to work, but becomes very difficult when people come into the store talking all the junk they can without ONCE experiencing the hardships that happen every morning because people want things their way at all times which is NEVER realistic. I'll give the store a realistic rating of 3.5-4 stars. read more

this target is one of the most undesirable places ever! i've visted this store numerous times, its horrible. countless times i've walked over into the produce section and have seen bad fruit, expired yogurt (where someone even took the time out to write expired on it & it still was not removed when i returned to the store 3 days later) first in first out? forget about it i've found more out of date items in this store than i've bought food! restrooms are rarely cleaned! the cashiers here have a distasteful attitude, not to mention when you ask for a supervisor and they approach like a deer in headlights as if you're bothering them.. i always shopped here because it was more convenient and they would usually have the items i needed, however it is very unpleasant when i have to worry about my food being bad. i have simply stopped shopping here. there's almost never any help when browsing the store or if i can get help the employees lack knowledge on location or details of a product! not that i expect them to know every square inch of the store but a little assistance without a snarled attitude or expired food would be too much to ask for. just their luck i had to pick a star rating read more
