I'm one to do my best to avoid going into Walmart or Target. But due to a set of circumstances, my wife, our granddaughter, and I needed to grab some things. The store was clean and well stocked and the employees were friendly. So here's why the 3 stars. 1. We got some hotdogs, but they were way overcooked. They need to refresh those things if they don't sell after a month! 2. The buns were stale. The flat bottom part was like cardboard and had to be torn off. The rounded top part wasn't as bad, but it was on the way there. 3. I don't like the trend of encouraging self checkout and having lines at the one or two cashiers. read more

My item leaked and target wanted me to return it to get my money back, is someone at Target lacking brains? Danville, VA Target does not know how or care to ship orders properly. I have received bad food before and now this. You can complain and it never changes. There is something wrong with every order. They hope you will get tired of it and just let it go. We were shopping in the bathing suit dept and they would not allow us to get to half of the inventory. It was shabbily blocked off and they said it was for our safety since there was construction. There was nothing going on around that area. Very frustrating. Do you want us to buy your stuff? Move the merchandise so we can get to it don't block our way from getting to perfectly good cute stuff! She didn't even offer to help us get any of it out so we could try it on. Our Danville Target location has made a lot of additions and improvements over the past few years. We purchase quite a lot of grocery items here that aren't available elsewhere in our city. The only reason I can't give five stars is because of the huge numbers of plastic bags that are used for every drive-up or pick-up order (with no option to opt out). If Target corporate would give us an option to receive no bags or paper bags, they'd be the perfect retail pick-up experience. read more

So I did a drive up order online! OMG!!!! It was awesome! Beyond awesomeness!!! I placed my order through the app in the early morning hours...my order was ready promptly at 8am when they open!! How awesome is that!!! WoooooHooo! It's was so easy to find the "drive up" station in the parking lot. I didn't even turn in the parking spot good and the employee was coming out with my stuff! Wow that's awesome again! He was super friendly, loaded my stuff in my trunk, was very enthusiastic about his job...which again that was awesome!!! I highly recommend this place for all you shopping needs whether it be online/drive up/pick up/shopping inside! Awesome customer service and they want to please! Since Target arrived on the scene, my preference was to go to Target as opposed to Walmart for various reasons. Customer service was one reason and other things. Well from reading some complaints of new hires from any Target, the working environment for them Is not the best. They don't have enough workers on the registers, they expect paying customers to wait on themselves, in which I refuse to do since I am not a paid cashier. I had an experience with FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. Near the back is a CLEARANCE SIGN THAT READS 50-75% OFF. SO THAT IS WHAT YOU EXPECT WHEN YOU GET TO THE REGISTER. I asked that my items be scanned so that i could make sure I was being charged correctly. Jus like i thought, when i got to the register, they had not lowered prices. He checked something online and said, "well this is cheaper than online.". I was not shopping online, I was shopping in the store in DANVILLE! One item he said was not on sale, even though the entire rack had nothing but iterms like that, and the others had a previous mark down ticket which did not reveal the new CLEARANCE SALE OF 50-75%. I do know that customers are supposed to be charged what is advertised or it is considered false advertising. I really did not want to challenge him at the point, because I can go to a Target in a nearby city that does not try to rip customers off. Also, the PEN IS MIGHTIER THAN THE SORD. read more

I only shop this Target a few times a year and have learned to expect poor service, out of stock sale items and dirty aisles. My latest visit did nothing to change that perception. Based on other Yelpers bad reviews, I see I'm not alone in my opinion. read more

This Target is full of empty shelves, employees that wear their masks on their chin, or with their noses hanging out, and un-masked customers who are welcomed with open arms. I stick to curbside pick-up only when in Danville. read more

I just called the store to see what the Easter clearance was going for and the young girl said I'd need to come into the store and see for myself...she wasn't very nice even after I told her that I didn't live near the store. Usually they are very friendly but, not this young lady today! I can take my money elsewhere if they can't be congenial! read more

(I don't leave reviews regularly but my experience was so good I felt like I should) I went to target today looking for a pop socket with a rainbow heart (for gay pride), but they didn't have it on the shelves anywhere. After a mini-battle with my social anxiety, I approached one of the workers and asked if there were any other pop socket sections because I couldn't find one I was looking for (I had already checked the website and they said it was in stock at this target location). He asked what kind of pop socket I was looking for and pulled out the pocket thing employees have that tells them the stuff in the store (idk what it's called) I panicked a little, but my mom told him it was a rainbow heart pop socket. As he looked it up I was fidgeting anxiously with my fingers (I'm still closeted and I know the area I live in is pretty homophobic). After he looked it up, he pointed to it on the screen and asked if it was the right one. I said yeah, and he told me it was in storage in the back, so he went to go get it, as I waited, still very anxious. (I have a lot of social anxiety but I'm working on overcoming it) When he came back I figured he could tell how anxious I was about subtly revealing that I was gay and not knowing his views on gay people, cause when he handed me the pop socket (which apparently had a rainbow at the bottom of the packaging to signify it was part of a pride collection) he offered a small, reassuring smile as he wished me a nice day and I thanked him. Overall it was a very nice experience. I'd like to mention the employee by name but I didn't think to look at his name tag, I noticed it said he was new to working at that target, but I don't remember his name. read more

I keep trying to shop here - but always end up asking myself 'Why?' - always leave with something but rarely what I came for - service is horrible - long checkout lines, staff that doesn't seem like they want to be there. Ugh. read more
