Curbside pickup. I've done curbside pickup maybe 2-3 times at this store and had to wait FORRREEVVERRRR literally EVERYYYYYTIMMEE! I love Target but it's almost quicker going in the store on a Sat/Sunday afternoon than waiting for a curbside order. The service is so SLOW!!! Target has to do better. read more

It's no secret that Target stores vary widely in quality from location to location. However, Clark has the distinction of being a location that varies widely depending on when you go. Being an action figure collector, my travels take me to a wide assortment of Target stores around the Union County area. Generally, each Target has its own personality and level of organization and cleanliness. Clark however seems to pull a Jekyll and Hyde routine on a regular basis. At times, I visit this location and the shelves look like a typhoon hit them. For several weeks in a row during the Spring, I visited the toy section of this location and most of the pegs were empty - because the toys were all just scattered all over the shelves and floor. There was no organization either. Different brands were all piled up on top of one another and it was a really sad scene for about a month straight. However, on a more recent visit however everything was super neat and organized (likely due to a recent reset). More importantly, when I could not find one item I needed, I provided one of the employees with a DCPI number (which you can find on their web site) and they were kind enough to tell me which other stores had the item. They don't *have* to do this, so the fact that they took the time to do this was very kind of them. The one thing I will say that is consistent, unfortunately, are the long lines. I mean WOW. Out of every Target I've ever been to, this is the only one where the line is almost always stretching way past the cashier stations and back into aisles (unless you go first thing in the morning). The problem is pretty simple: they don't have enough cashiers and they heavily rely on the self check outs which is a terrible system because people will pull up to the self check outs with carts entirely full and take their...very...slow...time...scanning...every...item. Target reported a revenue of $26.04 billion last quarter. You'd think they could afford to hire like, two more cashiers. So this isn't the best Target in the world, but I can't say it's the worst either. I wouldn't say stay away from it, but I would say to temper your expectations. You could have a great experience or a bad one, it all depends on the luck of the draw. read more

No customer service. My cart was stolen while in the bathroom and two employees left me 'trying to help' but left me standing there for a half hour. Long lines at customer service. Loss prevention is clueless. My reusable bags that you guys charge for got stolen too and I wasn't even offered a free bag. Menlo Park isn't much better but at least they stock the store! read more

4 stars for cleanliness and stock of items. It was a decent Target, well stocked and a nice variety of items. Self checkout was easy and moved smoothly. I am removed a star and honestly should remove more because of an rude and unnecessary incident that happened when we first got to the store in the customer service area. I went to return an item so my husband waited by the front of the area for me. My transaction was less than 5 mins and as I'm turning around I hear my husband saying "excuse me" and motioning towards a worker. A cart is directly in front of ours and he is basically blocked in by the front of CS area. Apparently the worker shoved the cart in front of him and said "here's another one" implying that he worked there. Now clearly he doesn't because you would know your co-workers. So he proceeds to ask this person to move the cart and he is telling them you shoved it in front of me. This person keeps saying no I didn't but the cart is clearly blocking ours and for no apparent reason since there were no other carts in the immediate area. Yes we could have moved it but there was no point in the cart being there. They ended up moving it and talking shit while doing this but this didn't deter us from shopping. Now I don't want to read into why this might have happened. But it was an interesting incident. I would only go back if they had an item I needed or was in the area. read more

I only come here when I'm in the area and need to grab something. Usually it's during the morning because the line gets crazy later in the day. This Target always has a ridiculous line and wait time. During my last visit the line wrapped all the way to the bread section. I've never experience such at long wait time at any of the other Targets I visit. read more

The heavy set black lady Customer Service Supervisor at the check out stand needs to be fired. She displayed visible aggression towards me and lacked professionalism. I purchased 3 items, 2 of them were part of a gift registry. I asked for assistance to select the gift items on the screen. She proceeded to select one gift and an item that was not part of the registry. I explained this and she yelled it doesn't matter you'll get a gift receipt anyway. I explained it's for others to not purchase double on the registry. She walks away. I try to fix it on my own. Screen alerts the desk. She comes over and throws the scanner gun on the metal table in front of me. Imagine the sound! I explain to her quietly please only select the gift items. She bangs her fist on the table while correctly selecting the items. I said thank you, she storms off. Now she is at the cashier stand pointing and laughing with her coworkers. Target you need to hire a professional non aggressive supervisor going forward. I will no longer shop here. read more

This is by far THE WORST Target E V E R... The shelves are always empty and if you can find anything stocked at all, everything is a disheveled mess! I would even have to say that some packages have been opened and put back on the shelves (completely disgusting and unsanitary in some situations). The clothing sections are disgraceful. Items are falling off the hangers and onto the floors. The shoe section is damn near appalling, as is the accessory department and undergarments. The food section is almost barren. God forbid anyone should need bottled water ... You'll definitely die of thirst before you find any at this store. Toys and electronics are pretty scarce at this location as well. The beauty and toiletry area is laughable. As someone that frequently likes to try new beauty products and makeup, which I often post about, I try to mention where I bought it and how much I paid. Target makes this virtually impossible. I can't even give them "props" because they don't carry anything! The bathrooms are DISGUSTING, and I mean just absolutely gross. The stall doors are falling off in some of them. It's obvious that they haven't been cleaned as often as they should be. They smell like urine and feces. You can just feel that it's unsanitary as soon as you walk in. Last but not least, the Starbucks! While I am grateful to ANY Target location that has a Starbucks (unlike Linden that has a "cafe" that is always closed. I mean seriously.... wth?!) This particular Starbucks fits in with its Target location. The countertop is pretty gross. The employees have an "I hate my life" attitude," and if you look at the glass where the pastries are I'm pretty sure you'll think twice before ordering one. Pretty disgusting. I really only go here when I absolutely HAVE to. It's legitimately 7 minutes from my house. I'd rather go to the one in Watchung, and even that one isn't my favorite. My mom lives down south. I wait to take advantage and rack up on all my "Target needs" when I visit her. She lives near the Middletown Target. That is the most amazing Target!! I went here to help my little sisters pick out bathing suits. We went to the fitting room and asked if we could all go into a family size one, the worker BRITTNEY D. Said ok and my sister said "is it ok if i leave my cart here?" To which she clearly heard her and replied yes. We spent a few mins in there, as my sisters are young teenage girls wanting to pick the right outfit, ask opinions, etc. I run out to get her a different size and I see a SECURITY guard standing right outside the door, talking to Brittney who's rudely eyeballing me. Thinking it must be a coincidence, I continue on with shopping and grabbing my sister the right size. I come back to the fitting room to the security guard and BRITTANY pointing and still staring at me and whispering and I go back in to give my sister the bathing suit. Then, maybe 5 minutes later, Britney bangs on the door and asks if everything is OK. All while i'm hearing them whispering out side my FITTING ROOM door... Made us totally uncomfortable and weirded out so we grabbed our stuff to leave. two minutes later, she bangs on the door again and asks "is this your cart out here?" As my sister JUST told her it was. as soon as we leave her and the security guard bombard the fitting room and look around while staring us down. Brittany followed us around the whole store, staring at us the entire time. She made us all feel very uncomfortable and I don't think this is acceptable or professional behavior. We will NOT be returning to this location ever because of BRITTANY D's disgusting behavior. read more

Don't get me wrong, I love Target. This one, however...is a different story. I only go here as a last resort. They usually don't have anything I need stocked, I've seen non-service animals barking and lunging at people, and the employees oftentimes are rude. One accused me of stealing at the self checkout (which was absolutely not true) and took over the scanning for me. Clark NJ has gotten more and more stores over the years. More and more people too. Its really become a busy shopping area. Target is one of those destination stores for many. Even though it has a large parking lot its always busy, so drive carefully. This store can get messy on occasion, largely because of the sheer volume of business I imagine. I just left Target in Clark my cashier was Dawn she was so pleasant and kind she really made my day. I was one of the last customers she could have been annoyed but she was still upbeat helpful and sweet I come here often this was the first time I had such great customer service. The last time I came here I had a bad experience with a staff member I think her name was like Philis or something after asking her a simple question she got super nasty with me. I actually didn't plan on returning to this location but I was in the area. So this was refreshing to say the least, Dawn immediately greeted me after she finished with her customer , she was very personable she answered any question I had. The Clark Target is a revolting store that should be shut down! It is a dirty store! Not only do they allow dogs to roam the store that are NOT service pets- dogs that sniff, lick and pee on the floor without ANY clean up after reporting. But, you have to be out of your mind to buy ANY food products here after looking at my photos. I am including 2 pics of ROTTEN food in the Clark Target. One photo is the severely molded lemons that not a single employee removed. The other photo shows you the basket of lemons from a distance, so that you know that this is, in fact, Target. How could not one employee see how old these lemons were and covered in green mold??? I no longer shop at any Target after this. read more

I don't know why I am reviewing a Target. No offense to those of you that do. What can I say about this Target? They have self checkout. I haven't worked retail in about 7 years now (damn), but I am still the fastest person to ring me up. So that's a huge positive. I'm really just gonna do a Useful review here...that's pro tip #1...#2 is this, exit through the rear of the building and you won't really have to deal with the wait from going out the main Exit/Entrance of the plaza. What a joke. An employee at this location accused me of cutting a nonexistent line for the self-checkout, where I still had to wait my turn for a machine. She made me get out of line to let another customer go in front of me who was nowhere near the end of the line when I walked up. I informed the employee that I was there before the other customer, and was met with attitude. The other customer didn't say anything and wasn't believing I cut them. I love love love Target (pronounced tar-jay' or so I've heard). Target should have a warning sign that says, "Beware if you intend to buy just one item, you may leave the store with 20." Because that's always exactly what happens when I shop at this store. And I am NOT a shopper; far from. (This store would prove otherwise.) They just have soooo many cool and useful things in this store. The prices are great. For example, I'll find Lucky Charms cereal for $2.50 compared with $4.00 at ShopRite across the street. At times they have deals on the shelves where you buy a certain number of items and they give you a $5 or $10 gift card to use for future purchases. Watch for the red tags. I also appreciate the decor that they offer to accentuate the aesthetic of your home. They have cute picture frames, mirrors, signs, decorative rugs, and anything you can think of to make your home lovely. This is what gets you coming out of the store with way more than you intended to spend. They have a great selection of board games and toys including "limited edition", "sold-only-at-Target" items that sell out pretty quickly and appreciate in value as collectors items! The other thing to note is that I found a simple toy, the last one on the shelf, my toddler wanted it, and it had a visible scratch on it. So I pointed this out to the cashier and she hooked me up with a 20% discount! Their seasonal section is in the back right corner from the entrance. If you go during the latter part of the season, expect a hot mess, especially during back-to-school season. But again, prices are great. This particular store also has a grocery section but not as extensive as other grocery stores. Prices for these are pretty average. The last thing to note is their CVS pharmacy section. They accept electronic Rx from your Dr and send you a text when it's ready. Overall, great store. Self-checkout registers make it easy if you're in a hurry. Total go to place. I come back here over and over again. Hoping I'll achieve Dukedom status from my Yelp check-ins. read more

I use Shipt and they'd always have to refund me for items that weren't available even though listed in stock. Beware of false advertising! Below is my story in dealing with Target when trying to purchase a sale item (breast pump): Item wasn't ready for pickup at service desk even though the Target systems says otherwise. Took too long for me to get my item (15 minutes or so). Staff didn't know anything about the item. App/website showed picture of a box instead of actual item. Item isn't easily searchable on website/app. I only found the item via Google shopping search. Target service agents on the phone failed to notify me of the existence of this product (basic starter kit), and instead, spent all time justifying why I cannot purchase a similar product (backpack version) for clearance price as advertised on app for $134.98 vs $229.99 ($95 difference!) upon checkout of that item. Target is the only store I've dealt with that doesn't honor its advertised prices on its own app and that there is discord/separation between retail store and online entities. It makes me not want to shop there again. read more

This is a nice clean store located conveniently near the garden state parkway. How do I know? Well, I was need desperate need of a potty break in the traffic, so I got out on exit 135. I immediately pulled into target parking lot and the rest is history. I ended up shopping in this store for 2 hours. That includes 2 visits to the pot. My daughter and I used the pharmacy here for the first time today. When she was dropped from my insurance plan she needed to get her scripts filled at the lowest price possible. She used the Good Rx app from her phone and it put Target at the top of the list. Barbara G was in the pharmacy and she was nothing but kind and helpful. She answered all questions with knowledge and without hesitation. One of her scripts needed to be ordered and available for pick up in 24 hours. I really like this Target. Store seems to be organized and has a greater selection than other Targets I've been too. Store always seems to be organized and well kept. You can easily find items and staff is helpful. During the holidays I came in for an exchange customer service was excellent and helpful. Even with the madness of the holiday they kept their cool and helped everyone with a smile. Its in sort of a tough location to come in and out of depending on the time of day. Compared to all the Targets in my vicinity I prefer going to this location. It has a lot of parking which is nice when it is also sharing with other businesses. It can get busy going in and out of this location so sneak through the back of Target where the trucks go for a hassle free entrance. It has a Starbucks inside to get your fix if needed. Staff is friendly and is well stocked. Why four stars? When I went it looks like the prices were higher than normal, wish men shoes had more selection, and couldn't find any converse apparel. read more

Nice clean store, well stocked with basic items... quite a few are comparable in cost for the exact same items in Walmart. The women's bathroom is clean. Normally, there isn't a line for the courtesy desk ~ and it's located right by the entrance so it's easy to return items. They have price scanners in several locations so you can check the prices of items ~ that is my main complaint, that so often there are no prices on the shelf below the item so you're left wondering. read more

I ordered an immersion blender and applesauce from target for drive by pick up. When I arrived I was first given the wrong order. No one asked for my name. I gave back the wrong order told the team member my name and waited. When he came back he handed me my applesauce and told me that he had to process my return. When I asked what he was talking about I was told that since they take the car description they do not ask people their names to verify the order. My blender was put in someone else's car! And it was the last one in stock. When I asked how this happened I was told this was a reoccurring issue since they do not ask for names and go off the vehicle description. This is the stupidest policy I have ever heard of since most of the US drives the same stupid car. I understand we're all social distancing but if EVERY other store can manage to ask a customer their name for orders then so can you target! Beyond angry. read more
