Decided to purchase my furniture at Ashley after reading the reviews. Salesperson, Barry Dixon, was very helpful, patient and overall nice. I told him exactly what I needed and he pointed me in the right direction. Tip: have an idea of what you want, it saves time, money and less buttery sweet talk...LOL. I personally appreciated Barry because he knew my budget and helped me stay within my means. He didn't bombard me with buttery sweet talk. Make time to shop for at least 3hrs from start to finish. UPDATE... It's been more than 30 days and I still DO NOT have my furniture. This is completely UNACCEPTABLE. What I am learning, speaking to the store manager is, some of the items I ordered were out of stock. Nobody shared this information with me. The salesperson should have told me so I could have made a decision to place the order or not. In addition, some of my items are at the warehouse however because all my items are not at the warehouse I do not have a shipping date. I'm not sure if corporate office reads Yelp reviews but I'm surely going to write them a nice memo regarding this matter. Another thing I am not pleased with during this ordeal is the amount of time it takes for someone to answer the phone at the store or customer service, going to the store in person gets better results. read more

Please do not buy any furniture from Ashley furniture save your hard, earned money and go somewhere else you'll thank me later! 1) The furniture is made very poorly it doesn't last more than about a year! and what's worse they refuse to stand by their so-called warranties 2) We spent over $3000 for a couch including a $200 for a 5 year warranty. 3) Now we find out (13months later) that the warranty is not worth the paper it is written on...Yes labor is up after one year (true ) but what about the five year warranty I now discover that too is useless anyway... 4)The best they can do is send someone out to inspect it,.. oh and that's another $150 but it cannot be repaired since this particular product is discontinued and parts are no longer available and they call this customer service? 5) They told us in the store they stand behind everything they sell AND they manufacture their own furniture? 6) That seems to be a Bait and Switch, because somehow their own manufactured couchwith all the parts is discontinued..? if you read the so called Ashley Regency newsletter they claim to be putting the best foot forward putting the customers in focus etc. etc. nothing could be further from the truth. Find another furniture home, this one gets a solid D I have filed a report with the Better Business Bureau Larry K NJ read more

Justine was kind and helpful as we shopped today! We're very appreciative of her and excited about our new furniture!

Great service great help finding the product needed ask Justine !!!! Recommend and great value

Amazing experience , as soon as we step into the store, Dayanna , greeted us, and helped us with everything! Definetly will come back!

Purchased a living room set, dining room set and bedroom set from here. I forgot the name of the lady who helped me through it all but she was lovely. I have no complaints about her or the store itself. However, it took 3mths before it all got delivered and when it finally came my couch was missing a leg, my nightstand is missing screws to put the knobs on and my coffee table is put on crooked and it's been wobbly. As much as i try to tighten it, it dint don't do anything. My bedroom furniture all came with chip marks on them and my nightstand has a little scratch. For all the money i spent on all 3 sets and for all the time i waited for delivery i should've had everything in perfect condition, even and tightened. I didn't even get a good deal when purchasing all 3 sets. All of what i bought was expensive so I'm a bit disappointed. Just make sure you check everything you get delivered before they leave. read more

Caitlyn was amazing showing us everything we were looking for and listening to our likes and dislikes and finding what would work for us. I have come back 4 times so far picking out more and more pieces. Good selection and the wonder board offers more options. Prices fair and reasonable comparable to other higher brand items. Found some RH looking pieces! Very happy with my experience and the staff were all very friendly and helpful! read more

Mr Hassan was great help, attentive and very professional. Thank you for everything !

Caitlyn was very friendly and knowledgeable! She was very helpful to us finding a sofa that would work well in our home

I would not buy any more furniture from Ashley. They cost too much money and then they offer you the insurance. And then you pay for it and then you call them and they do not want to cover the damage. This is the second bed I buy for my son and have bad experience with them. I should have learned from the first time but I guess i wanted to give them a second change. And this is what I get no results and spend a lot of money for furniture not a happy customer. I should have went to BOBS Furniture I probably would been much happier. They just want to sell and get their money and not make the customer happy. So if I was you I would consider going to Ashley Furniture because they are not what they say. read more

We came to Ashley after stopping by two other furniture stores. Calvin was excellent to work with, very knowledgeable of the items in the store. We left with a purchase of our new couch, and two side tables to compliment. Thank you Ashley of Linden. read more

Lauren was absolutely phenomenal. She was friendly, efficient and patience with my indecisive self. She showed us plenty of options for our small 100x100 area for our living room. We left with our couch order after looking at every single one in the store and a dining room table for a great price. Thank you Lauren! read more

Went there to purchase a dining room table and was immediately greeted by Amanda. She immediately took us to a dining room set and gave us even more options to fit what we wanted. We walked around and looked until we made a decision. Amanda did not rush us at all and did not make us feel like she was only there to make a sale. She even explained the protection plan to us which was very useful. I would definitely go back there. read more

DO NOT SHOP HERE!! They are not reliable at all. I placed an order for furniture around August 3rd ish.. I was promised a delivery of Aug 30th, here we are October 4th and I don't have all of my furniture. On Aug 30th, they delivered the wrong master bedroom set, only the dresser of the two twin bedroom sets I ordered were delivered, so the beds are missing. They only delivered the dresser for the third bedroom set we ordered. No dining room and no recliner from the living room set. They delivered my daughters entire bedroom set, the only thing that came in its entirety. When we called to let them know that they had sent the wrong bedroom set along with 3/4's of the furniture was missing, they acted like they were shocked. They said we would get our furniture in two weeks. We were livid and told them to figure it out because we have 5 kids with no beds. The manager never called us back (really tall white guy), not the next day or two weeks later. Never heard from him again. We called back for the next two weeks (because we moved about an hour away) but no one would answer our calls. It was like they knew we were calling and they were avoiding us. We went back to the linden store and canceled out furniture. We got a call less than a week later by Marcos asking us to reconsider and they would make it right (plus they took $1,000 off the bill). They promised us a new delivery date of Sept 28 (one month later). When they came bac They only came back with the dining room set and part for the twin platform beds but since they were missing pieces they couldn't setup the beds. Not to mention their drivers robbed us for $2,400 in cash that we had sitting around. It's going on one week and no one has gotten back to me about our delivery, or about our missing money. They left my boys room in shambles with dismantled furniture everywhere. I've called the linden office and again they aren't answering my phone calls. I don't even know what else to do.. This is a warning, DO NOT EVER GET FURNITURE FROM THIS PLACE. Unreliable to say the least and thieves. As of today, December 6th there has been no resolution to this matter. I don't even know what to do anymore read more

DO NOT COME HERE!!! I had a really bad experience at the Linden location specifically with the store manager Steve. The employees and manager are worse than car salesmen. They will lie and cheat you any way they can to get a sale. They say they will give you something on sale but really raise the price and when they enter the discount they hope you can't do math or won't notice when they charge you more. I returned my items and will never give this or any other Ashley Furniture my business. STAY AWAY! You have been warned! read more

Adam was very helpful in our purchase of bedroom furniture and mattress. Overall a great experience!

My boyfriend and I went in looking for a new couch today. Other furniture stores had very pushy salesmen which was a turn off but Grisely in the Ashely Furniture HomeStore gave us such a great experience. She had great knowledge on pricing, financing, and all the products we asked about. the store itself was very clean and had a welcoming atmosphere. We'll defiantly be back to the Ashley Furniture HomeStore in Linden, NJ for future furniture needs! read more

I usually don't leave bad reviews, but I had to on for this company... Terrible customer experience, this these people do not care or are looking for the best interest of the customer. Recently purchased a $500 rug & they sent me the wrong one, after taking it to the store & talking to the sales person, they told me "no returns". So I then went a different day & the store manager told me the same thing (No returns). So now I am stuck with a $500 rug that I will never use because they sent me the wrong one! read more

I gave them one star only because 0 stars or negative stars was not an option. I went to this store to purchase an item and advised them I'd like to use my pre-approved financing. I was told that was okay and I paid my deposit and signed on the dotted line. My sales representative was one Anthony Acosta. When they tried to apply the credit it was unsuccessful. They told me it's likely a system issue which they'd fix and finalize my transaction. I left the store expecting that in due course my item would be delivered. After several follow up I called and was later advised they do not in fact use that finance company. They suggested I try a different company they partner with, which I did not because it offered less than the pre-approved amount. I later went to the store to try seeking a workaround and was met by a young lady with the most abrasive attitude I've encountered, who spoken to me and my wife with such scorn and disdain (for whatever reason that was) I ultimately decided I'd cancel the transaction and take my business elsewhere. I've contacted Anthony several times to get information, updates my refund and to date 3 months later, they've not responded, refused to cancel the transaction and/or refund my deposit. read more

I placed an order for a bedroom set on September 2020, it's now April 2021 and bedroom has yet to be delivered nor receive a status of my order. Each time I call the store the phone rings and hard to reach someone. When I am finally able to reach someone I am told the delivery has been pushed for another month. Been stringed around for months and no accountability. All I been asking is a reasonable estimate on when the delivery will be made before I decide on whether or not to cancel the order entirely. Good luck reaching someone to pick up the phone, and when you finally do the ladies that answers the phones are rude and lack customer service/professionalism. I have been a Ashley's Furniture customer for awhile but really am reconsidering give them my business moving forward. Not a way to treat your paying customers. read more

I have not received my purchased furniture yet, so this review is based solely on the customer service and experience while purchasing: Briana was great from the door! She greeted us and stuck with us throughout our visit. She paid attention to our needs and wants and even took her time to go through our home measurements and helped us weigh out our options to make the best decision that was right for my husband and I. Overall great, fun and easy experience at this Ashley's - it didn't make 5 stars only because of the shipping date. We have to wait 3 weeks to get our purchased furniture & wasn't told until after making the purchase (partly our fault, I guess we should've asked to confirm). read more

Walked in to this location to look for a new bed set and my husband & I were greeted by Debbie. She was super informative, professional and very friendly. Horrible customer service staff . Waiting a month for a my items which I understood as it was explained to me that it will take about 6 weeks. Contact the store for an update only to find out that free delivery means delivered to the store and find my own way to bring my items home. I explained to the female rep that it was never stated to me I would have to pick up my items or use their third party delivery at my own cost, she continues with "that is between you and who ever sold you it" once I advised her it was unprofessional because I didn't agree to these terms she decides to start screaming on the phone. I reminded her, she's an employee there so if I'm upset regarding my order it's not for her to start screaming at me. She goes on to tell me I can just speak to a manager at another time and to have a good day , followed my hanging up on me. Currently on hold with corporate to file a complaint. Update: decided to come to the store and spoke to Steve the manager who was able to fix it in a matter of minutes, still spoke to the district manager Scott regarding his costumer service employee who even while I was there was on the phone being rude with other costumers. read more

DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE STORES!!!!!! HORRIBLE QUALITY AND POOR COMPLAINT RESOLUTION!!! My husband and I purchased a (supposed) leather reclining sofa and love seat for $5000.00 about a year and a half ago from Ashley Furniture in Livingston NJ.  It should have been an indication that our experience would be a nightmare when the day of delivery, one of the workers from their third party delivery service damaged our wall moving the furniture in.   Immediately after delivery, we noticed the arm rest on one of the chairs needed to be replaced  because they did not install enough cushioning inside.   One year after the purchase, we started noticing the material on the seats appeared to be peeling, leaving a sticky substance behind that damaged the clothing of anyone sitting on them and rendered the seat unable to be used. Since when does "real leather" respond this way?   I immediately called Ashley and they asked that I send in pictures and make a claim against the warranty (which they boast that they offer when you make your purchase).  They lost me email with the pictures 3 times and finally said it was not a warranty issue...that this was "the customer's fault" from normal wear!!!  Are you kidding me???!!!  No way should this have occurred EVER...let alone within a year's time. So, according to this logic...Ashley's furniture is "showroom" furniture...it should only be "shown in your room"... not use it.   They added further insult to injury by offering to replace the material, but charge us $150 an hour for the labor it would entail for a technician to do so!  How many hours would that take? This could be extremely costly.  The warranty is supposed to be for manufacture defects...if this is not an issue of defective fabric and poor workmanship...I don't know what is.  Additionally, we still owe $2000 for this furniture and I am thoroughly disgusted!  WE WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM ASHLEY AGAIN!!!!  BUYER BE WARE!!! read more

DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE HOMESTORES! I'd give zero stars if it was an option! Timeline of events on an attempt at buying from them below. It's a long one and I'm making it a public Facebook post in case anyone wants to share it as a warning to others. December 31, 2017: We ordered a dining room table and four chairs from the store in Linden, NJ. The sales process was fine enough and we scheduled delivery for January 20, 2018. They tell me someone will confirm a couple days in advance with the four hour delivery window. January 17, 2018: I receive a text message and a phone call (from a human person) to confirm delivery for January 20, 2018 during the window of 2-6PM. January 20, 2018 (2-7PM): We stay home all day to make sure we're there. At 6PM there has been no phone call and no delivery. I call the number on the invoice and after going through the automated menus for "delivery" I am on hold to speak to a human. No one picks up the phone. I wait on hold for over an hour. Using another phone I also try dialing in to other menu items (Sales, etc...) during this time. The exact same thing happens. Stuck on hold. There is no way to call the local store. Every number tried sends you to this automated limbo. January 20, 2018 (7PM): Just after 7PM I leave the house and drive to the store where we placed the order. I'm given answers like, "This isn't the first time we've heard this today..." and "HR is supposed to take those calls and redirect them to the right place..." and "We have a new computer system..." and "The company has been bought by another company and the transition has been a nightmare..." They look in the computer and see that they have the chairs in the warehouse but not the table. There was no plan to attempt to deliver that day even though the appointment was confirmed. They say they can "maybe" deliver it on January 27 but there's no guarantee and that they can "maybe give you $100 back or something." The delivery charge was more than $100. I take a full refund instead. read more

Horrible customer service. Went to look for a table and found one in the outlet section. We asked a store rep, Anthony, for the price. He informed us we'd have to take it off the floor and kept pressing us to answer if we will take it or not. We repeatedly said we cannot confirm if we will take it or not if we do not know the price and dimensions. He was so nasty and started to raise his voice and then said "ok we get that you need the price and dimensions. Someone else will help you." Waited for someone else to come for a while and no one showed up. We decided to leave since the interaction was so disrespectful and rude and informed another staff member. The staff member started to explain that women have several bad days in a month and men have their own bad days. And continued to talk about women on their periods. Which has nothing to do with this situation and is very inappropriate. Horrible customer service. 0 stars for this place. Definitely do not recommend interacting with Anthony or any of the other staff. read more

Stay Away From This Business! Over the course of 4 months, and after spending thousands of dollars with this organization, I highly recommend you do NOT purchase furniture from them. We purchased a sectional, dining room table, King sized mattress, and King sized bed. We were shipped the wrong mattress and forced to keep it, and our sectional was shipped with the wrong/ mismatched feet. We called and emailed customer service multiple times and they refuse to rectify the situation. Feeling helpless, we filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and Ashley Furniture didn't respond. They have an F rating. The company has stopped responding to our requests, even though we've spent thousands with them. This review is the last step in ensuring no other patrons have to deal with this horrible company. ASHLEY FURNITURE DESERVES NO STARS. READ BEFORE ENTERING THE STORE. Terrible customer experience. Very unprofessional associates, and MANAGER. He was jumping, yelling, acting like an animal just to get a sale. Other Associates around us looked at my family; laughing, and talking behind our backs. I had a feeling a bad experience was going to happen since the store was in LINDEN. Some of the associates should be fired & so should the Male Manager. Never shop at Ashley Furniture in LINDEN. UPDATE: Purchased a lovely sofa from Value City (also owned by Ashley), in cash, within 15 minutes of entering the store. Pepsi was very professional and helpful! We had a terrible experience with a young woman in this store. She had the worst sales "technique " ever. We asked for the price of a leather sofa. She sat on a love seat and directed us to read numbers off the board to her. No, not that number, she'd say, the number below, the number to the right, the number over there. Why couldn't she get up off her tush, read the number for herself and do her job? Next, why aren't the prices of furniture clearly marked on the board like the furniture store right down the street? This store just had random prices with x's marked through them and she had to look up codes from a separate sheet of paper and input endless calculations to come up with some astronomical price. Talk about feeling hustled. Then, she talked up "top grain lather". (I did not get the sense that this young lady could identify the difference between top-grain leather versus leather-like if given three swatches to choose from but, whatever.) I asked for leather-like furniture instead and she said asked why would we want something that's not leather? I said our current leather-like sofa lasted over 10 years before cracking. She had a look on her face like she smelled a rotten egg that was covered in freshly squeezed dog feces. I spotted a sofa in the back. When we got there we discovered it was in fact, leather-like. Why talk down about a product that your own store sells? We waited while she did more complicated and secretive computations. I mentioned to my guy that their prices are more than the store down the street. But, she said, you don't know where they get their stuff. They use multiple manufacturers. I thought, Um...so? Then I said the one at Costco, which was top-grain leather was significantly cheaper. "Costco!" she yelled. "You'd buy a sofa from Costco? You not planning on having that sofa very long, are you?" At this point, I stopped looking or talking to her. I told my guy, let's go. As we were leaving she started yelling behind us, "Dang, ya'll just go'n go like dat! Well at least make me a reasonable offer!" My guy threw out that Costco number $799 for top-grain leather for their fake leather), she said, "Reasonable. I need a reasonable offer." He went up a hundred. She repeated that reasonable bit. I told my guy, "Let's go." She literally yelled behind us, "Bye, then. Enjoy your sofa from Costco!" Now I ask you gentle reader: Does that kind of comment inspire us to come back and make the sale? I felt like I was dealing with a woman who was ringing up groceries a week before at Wal-Mart. In the car my guy commented they were also false advertising. They were advertising furniture as much as 50-60% off but her calculations didn't jive with that. My guy actually works in sales (life insurance and mortgage broker and he LOVES watching other sales people in action. He was amped at how terrible she was and could've stayed there to play with her all day.) I couldn't have cared less at that point. She lost me with that whole rotten egg face. Why would you try to inspire a sale by making your customer feel as if what they want to purchase is wrong instead of trying to find the best option in your store to fit their needs? Even if she is new at sales (and actually had been ringing up groceries the week before) all she needed to do was read a couple of books on how to make the sale and maybe, just maybe, she would've gotten a commission that day. Oh well, another sale lost to Costco! read more
