I searched online for an item I needed and I got to the store for there items to not align with the online aisle location. I contemplated on going there and went against my judgement. I'm furious with the outcome as I really needed the item for a ball in tonight. Shame on your online update read more

Let me start off by saying I would definitely come back here to shop,I haven't been here in quite some time but Target hasn't changed ( other than COVID-19)!. My wife and I came here to pick up some things for our grandson. Every employee as well as the customers had on masks which is KEY for all of us! read more

Target - Home care... - Department Stores Near Me - Chesapeake, Virginia

Target has everything when you need it. Their shelves are mostly always stocked and the employees are the nicest.

I like this target! It's a large spacious target that brings in a lot of traffic but it's never overly packed! The few times I've done drive up orders they have been ok. Usually they are very quick with gathering items! They always beat the two hour limit. However, no matter how far or close you are when you select in the app "on the way" they take forever to come out. To the point I do pickup orders from here. Another disadvantage is somehow the inventory on the app in correspondence to the store is always wrong. For example, today I saw on the app that this Target has the formula I need, however once in store there is no formula 8oz bottles. Almost always the Newport News target has the exact same amount on the app and in the store, when I'm searching for things so I felt pretty confident this target would as well. Definitely doesn't make for a good trip if you are expecting to run in and pick up what you need, that's in stock, and it's not there. read more

This is a typical Target. A tad bit smaller than the others that I'm used to but they still have the necessities. Today I did the "pick up." But, didn't realize that there are two types of services that they offer. I believe it is called pick up and drive up. Pick up = you have to go inside and get your order. Drive up = a Target representative will bring it to you. Most days I go in and shop. It is a clean location and most (I said most) of the employees are helpful :). Overall, decent Target and they have what you need. read more

This is unfortunately the closest Target to my home. It seems understaffed although the employees seemed to be trying their best and had good attitudes. Wait times at the drive up pickup can be quite long. Unless other options are too far away, it might be worth looking elsewhere for your shopping needs. read more

On Target with the Necessities. This location is a bit smaller, compared to other locations, but they have all of the things that one would need. I came here to do some last minute Christmas shopping and was in and out in about 2 hours. The staff was very helpful in answering my questions, so I cannot complain too much. Although this location may not be as "nice" as other locations, it is not a complete sh*tshow. It is convenient that this Target is adjacent to a mall, so one can venture elsewhere to get other things, if necessary. read more

Target - Folks steal the toys out of the damn boxes. - Department Stores Near Me - Chesapeake, Virginia

This store is TRASH! The front end supervisor should Be reprimanded for breaking Target policy. As an old employee I know if a guest is looking for something pointing and telling a guest you don't know and walking away is unacceptable!!! I left at least $300 of merchandise in the cart at the register and proceeded to go to Walmart and Amazon. If you don't want my money fine! read more

I have read the reviews comparing this smaller Target to larger Target. They say the larger Targets have more items and more choices - well of course larger Targets have more than this smaller targets. Yes there is less room in some aisles than in the larger store. That is the difference between a large and small store. This store has a caring and kind customer service professionals. I often see managers and salespeople helping customers find things they are looking for. Please go back and visit this small neighborhood Target. There are great clearance sections and sales that larger stores do not focus on as much - yeah for us! I wish the Target Corporation would consider taking up more space in Chesapeake Square and giving our area a larger store but unti then thanks for giving us our well stocked, happily small Target store!! read more

Dear Target, Please train your associates! I purchased a lovely tan sweater online at a great sale price of $17 and change. The website stated none of the Target stores within 50 miles had the garment I was interested in purchasing. I just happened to be in the Greenbrier store and there was the exact sweater in every color! Not only did they have the item, it was on sale for $12 and change! I had decided to use PayPal verses my credit card for a quick easy checkout prior to seeing the item locally. When Target shipped the sweater to my store, I was charged the original price of $26 and change??? Now here comes the fun part! When I explained the situation to the customer service associate, she claimed she could only refund me if I paid by credit card. It took 3 trips to Target and a call to corporate to get it straight. Upside, they did give me a $10 gift card for my trouble that may have almost covered my gas...ugh! read more

Customer service just awful. No one was at self checkout or the returns register. When someone finally bothered to show up 5 min later because I saw her talking to another employee about her life while me and others were waiting for help. She finally reached me and said one minute. People that came in after me she helped THREE others before just looking at my items. Don't know her name but that was ridiculous and she was on her phone. Not like texting but whole phone to her ear ignoring people. read more

The Target at Chesapeake Square Mall is a convenient and nice Target location. I remember the day I saw that red bulls-eye sign on the building and knew Target was coming close to my house- pure joy. This Target has many of the areas that most Target locations offer; hot food & snacks, clothing for men, women and kids, shoes, baby items, electronics, beauty supplies, music, home decor, items for your car and more. This isn't the biggest Target in the area but it has just about all the things you would want. It is connected to the mall, which may be why it's not quite as big as some other locations in the area. There is always plenty of parking here and most of the time there is lots of staff on hand to help you out in whatever way. Store is clean and well organized - good place to shop! read more

I hate to give this Target a bad rating, but it's a small store with less than helpful staff. If I had never gone to another Target I would say it's ok. It's usually clean. Shelves stocked. Enough clearance happening throughout the year. But I have been to larger/newer Targets and this one pales in comparison. Walmart is across the street and offers so much more and often cheaper. Since it's small it doesn't have much in the clothing area. Choices for household supplies are minimum. The seasonal section rotates often. Toys are super small section. I come here for the basics and browsing. I used to spend more at the larger Target when I lived elsewhere.....their loss. Oh, the poles in the back of the store in the walkway.....paint those red!?!??! My kid has walked into them multiple times. I don't want to fill out a report to get ice for the bump on her head. Just paint the darn poles red! Or redo the walkways so you aren't walking into poles! read more

Target - Department Stores Near Me - Chesapeake, Virginia

I only went here because my dad and I were on the road and I needed my prescription filled before we got back home to the boonies. Since this is a mall location, it is quite small compared to other Target stores, and there are less check out lanes. Also, the store has an odd layout (just an example, all the dorm stuff is scattered around the store instead of just in one section), and there are a few dark spots in the store. The pharmacy staff is extremely rude, all they cared about when I got there to drop off my prescription was going on their break and when I came back to get it the cashier was extremely rude, at first not even acknowledging that we could in fact pay for our other purchases at the pharmacy as well. She also refused to take our stuff out of the handbasket, and didn't even put my merchandise in the reuseable bag I gave her, she just like, put the stuff on top of the bag. I took the Target survey that is on most of Target's receipts on my iPhone as my dad drove us home. I gave this store a scathing review, hopefully someone at HQ reads it. read more

Target - the store - Department Stores Near Me - Chesapeake, Virginia

jenn was so helpful with us checking out and was so friendly! we had trouble checking out and she went above and beyond to help us!

Meh. I'm not usually impressed with the selection of clothes or shoes here. Also the clothing is typically messy and all over the place which makes me not really want to shop. I like the self checkout and someone is usually quit to assist if needed. Also the toy selection is pretty lacking. Overall it's like the forgotten Target. It's not very well taken care of. The Target in Greenbrier is much more impressive. More of a selection of clothes, food, and beauty products too. read more

Worst target ever. Small, crowded, doesn't have a good selection. Skip it, if at all possible. Go to the Target near Greenbrier. read more

Hey, wanna pick up the phone next time I call? Or should I go to Walmart instead and give them my money? Terrible guest services

Nothing special about this Target. I come here because it is close to home. It has everything you would expect at a Target. But I will comment on one area of the store...the pharmacy. We have been using Target pharmacy for many years now and the staff is like family. I don't really know them, but my wife knows them all by name. They are friendly and will go out of the way to answer any question we have. Last year, CVS bought out the pharmacy section of Target (https://cvshealth.com/newsroom/press-releases/cvs-health-and-target-announce-completed-acquisition-targets-pharmacy-and). We (my wife and I) didn't have any issues with that until earlier this year. We have Tricare for health insurance. Earlier this year, Tricare announced that the will no longer allow beneficiaries to use CVS pharmacies (http://www.military.com/daily-news/2016/09/30/tricare-pharmacy-network-adds-walgreens-removes-cvs.html) which means we can no longer use the Target pharmacy. My wife was really bummed because we really like the staff. We'll continue to go to this Target, but it is really upsetting when you are told you cannot utilize a specific service because a change in policy. read more

Think twice before you do a drive-up order here. I ordered over $100 worth of items and 90 % of them are very obviously (and badly) damaged. When I called back the store to speak to a customer service rep they gave me the option to bring the items back for return. That in itself defeats the entire purpose of the convenience of a drive-up order. I asked how the orders are processed and she told me 3 people check the orders before they go out. So I said "you mean to tell me that 3 different people okayed these damaged items?" She responded "Well, I didn't say different people". I am so confused. It literally looks like my bag of items has been ran over by a truck. My box of baby wipes was clearly torn open in the bag with shreds of cardboard inside. How frustrating. read more

Yesterday was the most disappointing trip I've taken to target. Brittany, who I believe is a csm, is just unapologetically rude!! I purchased a tv that the loader broke while loading into my car and having it replaced has been a mess. Another associate was assisting me and had to contact Brittany about what could be done, she came on the two way radio and was loud and disrespectful! Needless to say, as much as I dislike Walmart, I will be giving them my business. I'm sure Target couldn't care less but I will NOT be disrespected when spending my hard earned money. read more

Worst Target ever. They never have any checkouts opened. Called about a month ago to complain and was told they would handle the problem. Went back this week and obviously the problem was not fixed. No checkouts except self-checkout opened once again. Someone finally came and opened one checkout. I asked the employee why Target is getting so bad and service was horrible. Employee said because pay roll doesn't want to pay people to stand around at the checkouts. I guess loosing customers because of horrible customer service is worth it. read more

Had a return without a receipt at Christmas, the gift (a malfunctioned child's toy) wasn't even in the box anymore...So needless to say customer service wise, this Target's management is great based on that experience. I was really surprised how friendly everyone was and how easy it was to return something there. I still have some notable issues with this Target but based on this most recent experience, I felt really bad giving them just 2 stars. Cheers to a Happy New Year! read more

Popcorn!! Popcorn!! Popcorn!! You would think they had popcorn flavored plug-ins scattered around the store! The popcorn scent is always a sign that i need 2 get sum b4 i leave! This Target is actually part of Chesapeake square mall and right next to the new movie theatres that's under construction right now. I tend to go here because it's the closest one near my home and is normally not as crowded like Walmart is. This Target location offers all the necessary items a normal household may need like clothing, baby items, books, electronics and a pharmacy plus a snack center if you get hungry like pizza or hot dogs. As of right now, they are adding a new grocery section where fresh fruit and vegetables can be bought. It's starting to look more like the other local Target store near Greenbrier mall. read more

Many of the reviews of this Target are negative. I, however, had a good experience here recently. I came in on Tax Free weekend and of course they were busy. I needed a bag of dog food, which there was only one bag left. I quickly found an employee and asked him if he could reach the bag for me. He promptly dropped what he was doing to help me, then asked if I needed help with anything else. Every time I go to Target it is my intention to pick up the one thing I need, however I always leave with more. When I went to check out, thankfully I did not have to wait in a line. The cashier noticed that I would not be able to carry all of the items out without a cart and offered to get me a cart. She then proceeded to help me load the cart. Great customer service. read more

I would have to agree with the previous post this target was a tad bit small but It's Target! I went late at night and it was very clean and everything was very easy to find. read more

Yes, this Target is small compared to most Targets. Other stores have Pizza Hut & Starbucks. Apparently, our community isn't able to support those luxuries. The store is clean & has a pretty good selection. I am a bargain & coupon shopper. There are incredible deals to be had at Target stores. Their clearance sections are worth checking out. Their prices run a little higher than Walmart & they don't do price comparison. Too bad, I would shop there more if they did. However, that being said...it is the only Target this area has. Therefore, I do my part to keep it going. I have the charge card to prove it! Note: If they would have a double coupon day, there sales would sky rocket! read more

Worst Target EVER! This store is a mess! Shoes all over the floor of the aisle, so many that I was unable to maneuver my cart around them without running over them (and getting them stuck in the wheel of my cart)! There was absolutely NO order to the "sections" in the clothing area, and clothes were ALL over the floor, again, just getting trampled on. The jeans wall looked as if the jeans had not been folded in weeks. The workout wear section was worse, if you can believe it, with absolutely no order to sizes and styles. Abandoned carts were everywhere. I walked out after that-no need to look any further as I can only assume the rest of the store was in shambles. This store is an embarrassment to the brand. read more

This has to be the worst pharmacy I have tried to deal with. First I asked them to transfer my prescription to there store, the woman behind the counter said no problem and since they had the meds it would be ready on Friday. I had to go out of town so I did not get there until Sunday. When I told the tech my name and address she said they had no record of me. I contacted Traget and the manager gave me a call on Tuesday. She gave me a song and dance about how the phone lines were down at Walgren. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and said I still wanted them to fill my subscription. Went to pick them up on the day it suppose to be ready and the pharmacy had not even ordered the meds I needed. HORRIBLE PHARMACY STAFF. read more

He says oh no...they'll have atleast 2 on the shelf....I get to the Chesapeake Sq location the next day because it was around 940pm and I wouldn't have made it in time. I get to the Chesapeake location at 9am. The associates say there's 3 left...I look all over the store, the one lady said let me pop my head in the back..she was back there maybe 30secs comes back and I show up again and I had to ask her if she saw anything she says nope. I ask another lady and she atleast walks back with me to where the portable speakers are ro no avail. Target already doesn't pay their employees...now they also don't carry what they claim!
