The employees are very good.However, the company has some odd rules. I went there to buy an 8 pack of Guinness na. They made me show an id and entered my dob on the screen. I asked the employee why. Brandon kept blaming my friend group for pantsing models but there were MULTIPLE groups of girls going around, threatening with having the cops called. Calling us non-paying customers and saying that we were THROWING STUFF. Then as we walked out he's saying all these bad things about us. if I could give a zero, I would there's no option so one star is way more than they deserve. The girl who answers the phone continuously disconnected me and transferred me to the wrong places. I asked for a manager named Zach who I was being very forward with because everything was screwed up, and he literally hung up on me in the middle of me talking I called him back to tell him that he should never treat already upset customer like that especially being a manager, and he said I was aggressive and yelling. I was not aggressive and I was not yelling. I was telling him straight why can south Elgin do things and he's telling me he can't!!!! He was very rude and should go back to classes to learn how to deal with customers part of being a manager is dealing with upset customers and hanging up on does not help at all. He told me he did say goodbye. He did not. I have the whole conversation recorded. I will be calling Corporate tomorrow. read more

I went to target with some friends for some respectful shopping we were not disruptive nor did we have may encounters with the workers. As we went to check out the lady, name: Felicia told us to go use another register, she was impolite and rude and when we went to go try use a different register (that was working) than she wanted us to and told us we HAD to use the one she told us to and though it was not a terrible request her attitude was awful and she made it a very difficult and frustrating situation for no sensible reason, all but one register worked so it was perfectly acceptable to use another. This is the slowest target I have ever been to. I tried ordering through the Target app and chose the drive-up option. Big mistake on my part thinking they would try to get my order of 8 items out sooner than expected. I sat in their parking lot for a while since the app said my order was almost ready, and all of a sudden, the processing bar retracted and told me it was taking longer than expected. I don't think it should take 2 hours to grab 8 items from the frozen section. The real kicker was that the parking lot was pretty empty, so there's no plausible reason it should have taken them that long. No wonder I rarely ever visit this location. This location is by far one of the most disorganized Targets around (almost as bad as the Wheaton location). Save yourself a headache and go to the Warrenville store instead. They are more efficient and organized. read more

Recently learned they this place had a horrible habit of mislabeling prices after getting at least three surprise increases at their self checkout on the same day. The first time I noticed it, I spoke to an employee. She said the price the self checkout machine showed was the price. I told her again that it wasn't the same as the shelf price (almost twice as much!), and she finally said she would check the shelf price. When I went to walk with her, she emphasized that she would be checking. I continued walking with her to the shelf. When we got there she said that price label was for items of a certain specific brand. I told her the brand she'd pointed out was the same brand of the item I was purchasing. She then said the label was misplaced and was supposed to be for a different item. I said that, if that was the case, that was the mistake of Target. She finally offered to change the price, but never apologized for repeatedly questioning what I knew I'd seen. After that, the other mislabeled items didn't require such massive investigations for charges to be altered to match their labels, but it was a massive inconvenience overall, and her dismissive manner had been so rude! I will be taking pictures of price labels for future purchases here and asking to have them altered if the machine price is higher. So inconvenient, but I shudder to think of how much I've lost through their absurd surprise pricing. Also, an employee suggested they might have too many items to label accurately. I'll believe that once some items also end up costing less than they were originally labeled I hate the cameras on our faces at self checkout. Such an invasion of privacy. This place also changed the lids on their rubbing alcohol bottles to be way less convenient. Not overwhelmingly terrible but definitely irritating. One other thing - I've asked them to refill their hand sanitizer on two separate occasions and had a manager assure me they would for each. After each, I tried the same hand sanitizer machine again decently later only to find it still empty Are they just for show? read more

Very nice, well-organized store. Everything I wanted was in stock. As I walked up to the register area, the senior team member in charge noticed a backlog of customers waiting to check out and immediately called for backup cashiers. The backup cashiers quickly hopped on registers and got the lines cleared out ASAP. This location is like a will-oiled machine, and I like that. Nicely done! read more

First of all, let me just say that I absolutely love Target. If this was a review on the corporation as a whole, absolutely, I would give it five stars. I can spend a full hour in Target quite happily perusing the shelves. This store is okay. It irks me that it does not offer a full grocery section, or even what Target does the p-fresh initiative a few years ago. The produce selection is Slim, and so too are the offerings in the food department. There is absolutely no way I could do all of my grocery shopping at this Target location, but if I just need some kind of packaged good, chances are likely they will have it. In fact, limited selection is really how I would describe the Batavia location overall. When compared to a Super Target, this store has fewer home goods/decor items, school supplies, books and electronics, and clothes. I sometimes have to drive to the store in St. Charles to get what I really want (for example, Kid Made Fresh meals, which feature hidden veggies inside an organic frozen meal, are only available in St. Charles). If this store opted to expand - if that is even possible - then I think the Batavia Target would be right up there in the five-star category, but with such a limited selection, it earns itself just three stars. read more

This review is specifically for the Pharmacy. I like Target as a whole. But this is the worst pharmacy (specifically the pharmacist) I have ever been to, the only reason I continue to some her sis it is close to my house. Let's say over all when you have to go to the pharmacy you are picking up medication 1. Because you don't feel good (just came back from the doctor) or 2. Just a medication that you need to take on a daily basis. This past week I had been pretty sick and between it getting worse and my doctor having to re-prescribe meds so I came in here a lot last week. So I wasn't feeling well at all...what about a little sympathy and understanding because I feel like crap! Well I had a reaction to a medication I was given so I needed to find out what was in the generic vs the real thing the pharmacist seemed so annoyed that I was even asking. So I asked her if there were some outstanding ingredients that are different-she stared at me blankly and said she didn't know and I would need to look at the ingredients myself....have any of you looked at some of the ingredients in prescription medications? It may as well be written in a foreign language. I mean I am sure she doesn't know every ingredient either but I would have thought she would have a better knowledge than I do. But it is not just this time...she is always looks like she is annoyed or just doesn't want to bother...I have never seen her smile or even be remotely friendly. Just sad when you are working for people who are not feeling good and want help. My favourite is when the pharm tech that rings you up asks you..."do you need to ask the pharmacist and questions you have about the medication" well heck why would I ask if the pharmacists doesn't care or want to help... The most unhelpful pharmacist ...go to Walgreens or Jewel down the street anywhere is better than this. read more

I have always liked the Target stores overall, but the Target in Batavia to me seems to be the most focused on customer service. No matter what they are doing, if I pass a Target team member they always ask if I need assistance. They are cheerful givers and attentive employees. Their professionalism and commitment to providing good customer service is invaluable these days. Even their teenage employees treat all customers of every age with great respect. I would highly recommend the Batavia Target for any of your shopping needs. read more

Just left Walmart down the road and realize how much better this Target is. This Target location is clean, well stocked, and their employees are friendly and helpful. In my opinion Walmart is lacking all of what this store has to offer, and my family will be doing our grocery shopping at Target from now on. read more

I've been going to this store since they opened and I have always liked it. I can get good value for the money and that means a lot. Then they added the food section. They have all kinds of delightful things for far less money than, ahem, other stores. Target employees are quite helpful, which is also nice and I love the little scanners scattered around the store. They make life a little easier when you're unsure of a price or checking to make sure that item is really on sale. Keep it up, Target! read more

ATTENTION TARGET BATAVIA SHOPPERS! They are seriously needing some help in the customer service area....allow me to explain. My 16 year old and I went on our weekend Target Run. I grabbed a 6 pack of Bell's Oberon (the season is upon us right?). As I approached the check out with my cart filled, the cashier says, "I will need to see both of your IDs". Excuse me!? I told them that she isn't of age and no she doesn't have her ID. Well now, Batavia has instituted an ordinance where all parties at a purchase must be 21. But wait, I inquired, what if my daughter was 5? I certainly can't make her go wait in the parking lot? Well, in that case we'd make an exception!!!???? WHAT THE WHAT? I talked to the store manager - inept, ill advised, and completely not versed in customer service. I will no longer be shopping at Target Batavia. And corporate will be hearing from me. read more

The clearance sections are weak. They are always practically out of humidifier filters. The maternity section is almost non-existent. Clothing prices have gone up- $35 for a shirt?? The cashiers are hit or miss in terms of customer service. The customer service counter seems on top of things. I like that they expanded the toddler toy section; there was hardly anything in it before. Also I wish they carried a bigger variety of diapers and pull ups. It isn't my favorite Target, but it is convenient. read more

I went into this store on a Sunday to create a Birthday registry for my son. What should have taken 5 minuets turned into 1 hour and me walking out of the store extremely frustrated. The three computers for "guest" to generate a registry were absolutely disgusting. Stickers pealing up, black sticky gunk in the corners and the key board looked all greasy. Then to my frustration the touch screen monitors were actually not touch screen at all (except for one yet the angle on the screen was tilted down and I was unable to see what I was doing). Carrie and Hanaa tried to help me but they didn't know what they were doing either. Apparently the system was going through some software update --during store hours and the Target team didn't even know about. As I sit here and write this review I am know on hold for 8 minuets and 35 seconds trying to get a hold of a manager that is in America to place this very complaint.
