The location is great - busy, near hotels (if you're staying close by), and enough parking. Its also beside a Whole Foods. The service that I encountered was not good. I was asking to check the price because the price scanner showed to "check with a Target team member" and the lady looked as if I didn't check the scanner and said to use the scanner found in the store. I did explain the prompt I received when I scanned the item and I guess she didnt believe me but scanned the item still. Tbh it would have been a shorter interaction if she just scan the item. The second instance was when I was looking at the yogurt aisle - a target team members were unloading the merchandise. I put my cart to the side then I was scanning the available products when I felt a shadow over me looking impatient because it seems like she needed to put the merchandise in the fridge. I apologized but I wish that instead of letting me feel her presence and waited more than 5 seconds to move, she should have just asked me to move. I dont think I deserve the stare she gave for blocking the way because I honestly did not know! I think that because this Target location is so busy and seems like the store with heavy foot traffic. The store seems understaffed because besides the two encounters, I also noticed that the merchandise at the end panel still had the plastic which reads "remove bags for display" and yet almost 80% of the Owalas still had the bags in place! I also noticed that this store is behind the Christmas Clearance as most Christmas items are still ranging between 15-30% and select items at 50% while my store at home is already at 50-80%. Another thing - not sure if I missed it but I didn't see a travel sized/travel accessories/toiletries area. That would be nice to have if it's not available in that store! Last time I was at this Target, I went to check some granola options and they had a great variety of them. I used to remember Nature Valley being the only granola brand on the shelves many years ago...and there was only one or two flavors to choose from. Now, there are many many more brands and many more fun flavors. For example, I saw this Birthday Cake Granola with sprinkles...how fun....of course not as healthy as the pure granola, but still a fun way to dress my cereal. First of all, this is my usual target that i go to. And from the 100+ times i've been here, the service is terrible. There are always 2 registers open when there's 20+ people waiting in line. And the communication is also terrible. The outside sections are always organized, but if you were to go in the underwear drawer, there is an XL in a small. Ughh I hate having to write reviews like this. Because I really like shopping at this specific Target location but my experience today was not great. I purchased a HP ink cartridge yesterday 02/22. 02/23 today, I open the ink put in my printer and the printer couldn't read the ink. I thought my printer was damaged but after trouble shooting with HP via the phone it was determined by HP this specific NEW cartridge from Target was damaged. Which was correct because the same cartridge was purchased from a different retailer Office Max), and it worked perfectly in my printer. No error message. I took it back to Target and explained what happened. Not even looking for a refund but an exchange or even gift card. I was told the item could not be returned. Nor can anything be done to assist me. That store policy states so. Even though it was damaged. And if "I had an issue with it, I had to call guest relations." Now I've worked retail before so I know there's always a way to assist a customer who is in a bind with a damaged product purchased at a business. This was not the way, at allllll. Frustrated, I left after speaking to the manager on the floor who also said the same thing. I called guest relations as advised and I was told the information I was given in store was very incorrect. These ink cartridges can be exchanged within 30 days of purchase. I was able to get refund assistance and mail back the product over the phone but after having to take time for many annoying unnecessary steps. I know others may not have the time to call like I did. In this economy with the price of things being so high, $50 wasted on ink is really money in the drain. Target consider training your staff on correct return policies. It's only right. read more

Years ago I used to love Target. Present day not so much. This visit I came looking for small hand weights to exercise at home. Unfortunately the exercise section was empty. Empty shelves no one to ask empty like a going out of business. No wonder why everyone shops online? So I make my way back out of the store. Every time I go in this Target location, I cringe. Everything is a mess. There is a long line of people waiting to checkout at self checkout, with shopping carts piled full, while only a few actual workers at the regular check outs. They are out of stock with so many things. It is a disappointment coming here. The cafe is now a Starbucks. People working could be friendlier but the food is great and coffee greater. Cafe tables are usually messy and people bring in the carts, so it becomes cramped. I like that it is right by the door, so you can get your cravings before or after shopping. Customer service desk is right there as well, so you can multitask if need be. Tried to do Christmas smart and did shopping on line, received most of the item with the expectation of the 3 most expensive items. I called and told them that I never got it and they said they would have a manager call me, they never did. Instead they send me a letter saying it was received, well NO because if it was, I wouldn't have called in. Now they saying I'm out of luck and to go to my cc - which I will. This is one of the worst Targets I've ever been to. It's a small store and the stock is fairly weak (ie they don't have quarts of milk, only half gallons and higher) -- but ALL Targets have gone downhill maintaining stock and selection in the last 5-10 years. However, I'd still rather shop at Target than Walmart but Walmart is gaining on them. I needed some furnace filters recently and thought I had seen them in stock at Target in the past but didn't want to make a special trip (20 minute drive) if they didn't have them so I tried calling guest services in the store. A guy answered the phone and he said he didn't think they had them but he didn't really know what they were! The website says they are only available online which is obviously wrong. He said he would check for me and put me on endless hold and never came back. So I was in the same store today and they have a whole aisle of them. I knew I had seen them before. They had a lot of sizes too. Out of curiosity I asked a clerk at guest services if they always have them she basically said she didn't know what they were either and had to punch out so the guy next to her could look it up. I spoke to him first and he didn't know what they were either. Very typical of the employees there -- passing the buck, they don't know and don't want to help you. read more

I was DISCRIMINATED AT THIS TARGET FOR MY THICK SPANISH ACCENT .... The store manager SAVANNAH was EXTREMELY RUDE after I spent an hour at this store and my 4 year old son picked a Toy from their toy shelf (among other things I was buying for a value of probably around $250 - which I do every week by the way). After a 20 minute line to pay upon checking out they said "oh we cant sell this toy until x date" to which I responded - Sorry my 4 year old picked it from your shelf and you mean to tell me He cant take it home????? SAVANNAH WAS EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNSYMPATHETIC; she laughed to my face MOCKING MY ACCENT!!! And took the toy away from my crying 4 year old claiming they could not sell this toy right now. Had to give a quick & loud shoutout to KIRSTEN, the FABULOUS Target associate at the checkout line tonight! It's late, people are tired, it's Saturday...and this girl was ALL smiles and personality! How wonderful to see such customer service and especially since I haven't been to Target in years to shop! I came in to look for coffee pods for my new coffee maker at work, and naturally, come out with a shopping cart full of things I, all-of-a-sudden had to have! But I digress, I am very grateful for such a beautiful person inside and out, after a tiring day with very unhappy people!! It's so good to see a bright, beautiful, and energetic ball of fire like Kirsten, and I for one feel it's something that is lacking in so many businesses. DISCRIMINATED AT TARGET FOR BEING LATINO: on a Thursday afternoon I walk into target to make a few purchases because I am traveling I make my way towards the register of the self check out and I begin to scan my items on the way out I see a few ice teas that I would like to purchase It was $.79 I grabbed two and I purchase them with cash and I had two receipts for two of my transactions I then proceeded to get stopped by a woman who told me that she needed to see my receipt and with gratitude I gave her my receipts and I asked what was the reason she needed them for and i was ignored twice ! and when i finally got her attention she gave me the worst attitude in the world and told me not to worry and i proceeded to get upset because she began to whisper to her coworker and give me a really dirty look at me i am outraged because i give these business money on a regular bases and this is the way i am treated i am outraged! because she did not look at anyone else but me and you can tell i am latino by my skin tone! no one else was stopped and i made two purchases all under 20 dollars! she proceeded to write "paid" on both of my receipts for no reason like if i am some criminal. read more

This Target needs some work. Not sure what is up with management. Every time I come here it smells musty. Combination of tourists and bad management doesn't mix. Bad vibes there. The isles are usually messy. Certain particular items are not usually stocked. I've asked staff on where to look for certain items and they look lost. This store doesn't have the local feel to it. The check out lines, don't get me started. Even on busy days they are under staffed. I try not to bother with self-checkout if there is no attendant. But if a cashier line is not moving I will sometimes go for it. I came here often every month to pick up my prescription. But since the CVS take over I haven't been here as much. I usually come here for emergencies but if anything I try to do my shopping at other Targets which is better organized and not as nuts! read more

Really not impressed with this Target, and that's saying A LOT since I am a loyal fan of Targets in general, so much so that I won't step foot in a Walmart unless I'm desperate. I needed a bike. My boyfriend decided to buy me one for my birthday, and he got a great one from the Target up in Fort Lauderdale closer where we live so we decided to look up there first. Turns out they didn't have anything that would work for me since I have super short legs and need a wheel size that is equivalent to that of a child's bike. Seeing as I didn't want to roll around town on a pastel pink bike with a bell, I decided to order a 24 inch bike in a different color that I deemed acceptable and have it delivered to this location since this is closer to where I work. It took about 3 days, and I went in to pick it up. I was disheartened to find out that it was in a box, unassembled. In a rush that day, I decided that I was handy enough to figure it out on my own, and lo and behold, I actually was, but one of the pieces actually BROKE while I was doing so. I called and after 20 minutes of being on hold and multiple transfers on the phone, I was able to confirm that I would be able to return a broken bike in pieces with a receipt. I reordered another one which for some reason took almost TWO FULL WEEKS to arrive. I got an email confirmation telling me to pick it up, so I called to confirm it would be assembled before pickup. Not only was I told that it wasn't, I was told the bike builder wouldn't be in until Monday and they wouldn't give me a more specific window as to what time. Evidently in a large store there is one person capable of putting things together, and BY THE WAY my order was going to be canceled if I didn't pick up the bike (in the box) by Friday afternoon? So now I have been going back and forth for almost a month, have no bike, and the customer service manager's best suggestion to me was that I should re-order the bike on Sunday night online, so the hope would be the bike builder employee would MAYBE show up for a shift to put it together so I can pick it up before I leave work on Monday? What? The 24 hour window for order pickups is absolutely insane. I won't be going through all this rigamarole for a bike here. I love the Target brand and I've never had the customer service from them fall through for me like this, I have had such good experiences at other stores, I would recommend shopping at any other Target aside from this one. read more

If I were judging on selection alone, I would give this location five stars. I especially love their new food section, which has a large number of items, both local and ethnic, that aren't available at Publix. The prices are significantly lower than Publix on some items, and the meats and produce are of the highest quality and very fresh. Of course the store has the usual widely varied selection for which Target stores are famous. Men's women's, and junior's clothing, shoes, accessories, purses, and jewelry mix in with beauty supplies, home decor, small appliances and electronics, and just about any other general category you can think of. This particular Target also has a small garden and home section. There is also a food court area. The reason I have to list this location as a two, is that the service here is abysmally poor. There was one specific instance when I waited at the jewelry counter for almost fifteen minutes, pressing the service button. I asked three employees, who didn't seem to be doing anything pressing, but who still told me they couldn't help me and told me to keep pressing the button. After 25 minutes, I finally gave up and left. The lines are always long and there never seem to be enough cashiers. The few times I have managed to find an employee when I have a question, they don't know the answer and seem put-out that someone is bothering them. The store is right down the road from my house, and the convenient location combined with the selection keep me coming back. I know that nine out of ten times they will have what I'm looking for. Unfortunately, I will have to find it on my own and wait in a long line to get it. read more

My husband and I quarrel sometimes over where to buy our groceries. For example, is it really necessary to buy cereal and milk from Costco? What about Publix? Or is it cheaper to get it from Target? Well I went in to get a few items: 1) two gallons of milk, 2) 12-pack of beer, 3) two loaves of whole wheat bread, 4) two half liters of coffee creamer (new Dunkin Donuts brand), 5) two regular-sized packs of sliced turkey, 6) Suave hair conditioner ($2.89) 7) 6 cans of all natural wet dog food 8) 12-pack of Cherry coke (cans) 9) Raspberry Lemonade (by Simply Lemonade) With tax I paid around $67, not so bad. I think I would have spent more at Publix if I purchased the same things. No waiting in a long line either, and I even received printed coupons to use for next time. Not too shabby. read more

I am an avid Target shopper (in store and online!) I always had a great shopping experience until recently. On Sunday, March 4th I went to the Target store near my home in Aventura, FL to exchange a stacking bin. It was purchased at another Target to organize my store (I'm a Store Manager for Retail Luxury) I had the receipt and it was purchased 24 hours prior. The Acting "Store Manager" (nasty disrespectful and argumentative) said No that I had to return the defective bin at another location because they had no proof it was defective!!!I Finally after going back and forth on store policy she agreed and I completed the return. When I was checking out 20 minutes later with $100 worth of merchandise, (I previously spent over $300) my "senior citizen" mother and I were approached by the security officer. We were asked if we were taking pictures of the staff! What?! This manager harassed us because I said I was going to call The Corporate Office to discuss my negative experience and told the security a lie so she come talk to us! The Security Guard looked confused... like why was she sent? This upset my mother and myself- we no longer wants to shop at Target if this is how they treat loyal clients. Since when is it illegal to ask for an exchange on a broken item? Since when do Managers utilize store security to harass customers they prefer not to deal with? I work in Retail and the customer experience should be welcoming ....NOT threatening or demeaning. I suggest that if you shop at Target in Aventura, bring your bodyguard! I was on the market for a weighted jump rope, so I came to this Target to see if they had one. The second I walked in, I asked one of their workers where I could find one, and they pointed me in the right direction. They had a good selection of resistance cords and jump ropes which made my visit quite easy. After paying for the jump rope, I realized I had a Target birthday card that I had to return, so I waited in their customer service line. Their computer server was quite slow, so I waited in line longer than I should have. There was also a disgruntled mother in line, which may have made the wait seem longer. She was frustrated at having her children walk around. I, then, looked around and realized that a lot of people looked cranky. Really cranky! Maybe this Target is the place where all the cranky people go, but I loved Target and I loved coming here. Overall, it was a great visit--things could have been better organized, but it was a pretty good Target. read more

I feel this is one of the nicer Targets around. This definitely is not my favorite store, but it is a nice Target for the area. Usually the store is better stocked, though I'm not always able to find what I'm looking for like my favorite iced tea gallons and some pet items (pet department is smaller for cats at this store than North Miami). For the most part this store is one of the better Targets around. Love the outdoor/holiday area throughout the year. Always a great selection, with some great finds. Super clean store and the employees are usually friendly. Today the assistant manager let me go in the 10-item line even though I had well over 10-items, since the other lines were busy. I always appreciate that since I had been standing in line for awhile. One thing I want to note is the size of the store. I do feel this store is slightly smaller compared to other Targets. I never realized until today when walking through the grocery department. The store definitely looks like a typical size Target, but the the aisles on the left side of the store with groceries and frozen items are a bit shorter. I noticed I wasn't finding a couple items I needed since the store had no space for them. This target is very big and has a lot of stuff. This can be a good thing and bad thing. It's a good thing because they generally have most of the stuff that one would need. It's a bad thing because this place is often times very busy and when they don't have what you need or its out of stock one can get frustrated. This store is quick at the register to get through big lines quickly and the staff is generally friendly. The grocery is nice, but if you are looking for a large variety of fresh foods such as meats and veggies, this place will not do. I wish this place were open later like the awful Walmart down the street (24/7) because they have a much higher quality of merchandise. The store is huge and has everything anybody could want in the way of EVERYTHING including a T Bone steak that was almost Prime. They were so nice about a card and set up an account in a flash. went in for a couple of necessities with my boyfriend (our purchase was less than $40), and as we're walking out an employee stops us and asks to check our receipts; she then goes out of her way to get a marker from of of the other cashiers. as she stopped us we ask her "excuse me ma'am what are you doing?" "did we do something wrong"... no answer we ask again "excuse me... but what did we do?" we turns around with a nasty attitude and goes "don't worry about it" then my boyfriend asks "why did you do that because you think we're stealing?" she says "yes" when she clearly saw us pay AT THE SELF CHECK OUT WITH A SURVEILLANCE CAMERA. we pay twice so i paid once with my card and my boyfriend paid two little drinks with cash...
