If you are considering Tardy Orthodontics for your family's dental needs, look elsewhere. I went into their office excited for my braces, ready to see the transition of my out of line teeth to a beautiful new smile. I had to get an expander first because my teeth were too close together then four expensive years go by and the braces were removed(only had top braces). I wore my retainer as directed and after only a couple follow-up check ups, I was told my jaw is out of place and if I don't get braces again, I'll need jaw surgery.
So the braces go back on. Top and bottom this time. Paying for another round for a mistake that should have been avoided.
After wearing those pesky rubber bands religiously in fear of having to get surgery (which I was reminded of every visit) for three years and without even an estimation on when they were getting removed, I decided it was time to get them off. After the doctor had prolonged the removal for quite some time with an attitude at that, they were finally off. I got some clear retainers this time and went off. No metal bands behind my teeth to keep them in place, just the plastic retainers.
Not even a year goes by and I have to go back in because despite wearing my retainer as directed, my front two top teeth start to spread any time I'm not wearing the retainers. So how do they fix it? They put a tiny little bar behind those two teeth and charge me for a new retainer. A couple of months go by and now those two front teeth are not staying in line with the teeth next to them. At this point, a second without retainers on means bad news, money wasted.
Appointments have been made to correct it, letting them know my teeth are shifting, and they retort with a scoff and say teeth don't 'just move'.
Now, after a few years of regretfully not suing, my retainers no longer fit, the metal band fell out, and I have space in between almost all of my top teeth. With my bite shifting almost daily. Thanks for the expander!
They charge you to correct mistakes they have made, the women have the worst attitudes, and the staff as a whole doesn't seem to care for your actual orthodontic needs, just how much money they can squeeze out of you before you decide enough is enough. If I could leave this review with zero stars, I would.
