They were on time, prompt with responding to calls and text messages 2. Ruben kept me informed of when the work would be done. His people were there unfailingly at the time they said they would be. 3. The work was completed with great attention to detail, on time, and with no fuss involved. 4. Besides quality and professionalism, the price was reasonable too. Colony Fence is definitely one of the best fence companies you can work with in the Westchester county and adjacent regions. I'd highly recommend them, and would happily serve as a reference if someone wants to look at the work they do. EDIT: He also voluntarily reminded me that he guarantees labor for 2 years and provided me the name of the supply company that provided the materials saying they provide a 20Y warranty.

He put up a top quality fence which was great for our two dogs. Recently, we added a big female husky who is an escape artist. Reuben was right there almost immediately this past fall to put up extra height on the fence where needed. And, just today he was there again within 30 minutes of my calling, when we were frightened when our wonderful Husky dug a huge hole to get out into our frozen pond again. Reuben and his men put two huge rocks to fill up the hole and hopefully block her escape in the future. And then he adjusted the gate lock on the fence before he left. Anyone who uses this gentleman for fencing will never be sorry!

For the past year, Julio has made so many improvements to our home in order to get it in great condition for selling. Julio Chapa, is excellent, very friendly to work with, trustworthy, hardworking and always has a smile on his face. There is nothing that Julio can't do - big or small. He does window installation, recessed lighting installation, chandelier hanging, carpentry, painting, paint matching, power washing, driveway sealing, deck repairs, home repairs, flips houses, builds houses from the ground up and much more. He laid down the basement home theater tiles, added drop ceiling tiles for our basement, fixed our stone wall in the back, repaired our entire deck, power washed our roof and driveway, added a silicone coating to our roof so that it's shiny and black, painted various interior areas of our house, installed recessed lighting in our bedrooms, and he has fixed around 10,000 things in our house. He is friendly, knowledgeable, hardworking, thorough and trustworthy and always strives to do an excellent job. He is so trustworthy that my mom gives to him her credit card and her Home Depot card so that he can purchase supplies for our projects. His nephew, Edwin, also works with him. His son, also named Julio, also works with him. His brother-in-law also works with him. They are all wonderful to work with. We look forward to working with Julio for years to come! We wanted to wait a few years to see how everything holds up before writing a review for this company. Some things broke down more quickly than we had expected. Others held up nicely. All in all, we think they are A-OK - not awful, not great. Looking back at the over all experience, we're not convinced that they are the best deal out there. There are cheaper options for the same quality and scope of service - you only need to look around. We were a bit naive (first time homeowners) and we probably didn't do enough research. Of course they smelled it - they're general contractors. To them, we were a great opportunity to exploit. The way the contract was written and the agreement was setup (loosely defined), we left ourselves exposed to gross overcharges for ancillary and add-on services and parts. We missed a few key details that we won't miss next time we hire contractors. We don't blame them for being opportunistic or anything. It's good business, we understand. Our advice to you is that you do your research before you engage these guys.
