visited this shop two weeks ago for a chain repair. The initial service seemed fine, though the $60 charge for a small fix on a hollow chain felt a bit steep. Still, I assumed I was paying for quality work. Unfortunately, the chain broke again in the same spot, so I returned to see if they could help. When I handed over the chain, I was immediately told, "Well, it's hollow," as if that alone explained the issue. I was also informed that the break was supposedly not in the same place they had repaired--yet when I asked to see the original repair, I was only shown the description on paper, not the chain itself. The conversation took an unexpected turn when I attempted to clarify my concerns. Rather than addressing the issue, I felt the discussion became unnecessarily tense. As I was leaving, a comment was made about showing up at my home if I ever spoke negatively about the business. This was completely unexpected and left me extremely uncomfortable. Based on my experience, I would suggest exploring other jewelry stores that prioritize customer satisfaction and professionalism. read more

The moment my daughter and I walked in we were greeted by a lovely police officer who was not only polite, but stopped us to make my daughter a junior deputy! Once we proceeded inside ten mins before their closing two amazing ladies named Sunny and Donna gave my daughter and I a warm welcome. I informed them who I was and told them I was ready to purchase my first Rolex. While Sunny escorted me to the Rolex section, Donna came with chocolates and a water for my daughter and i. Sunny showed me every model and let me try them all on to give me a sense of the difference. While Sunny was being very informative describing every model and all the details of that said watch, Donna was getting all of my information and which watches I liked. Tara was recommended by a total stranger and glad I chose to take my fathers rolex here for service. It came back the Saturday before Father's Day and was bitter sweet. My father passed in December and left his watch to me. The watch has been in his drawer for years and he originally purchased it in the late 70's a complete month salary in the army he spent on it. They sent off to Rolex after inspection and a valuation. Rolex responded quickly with service recommendations and to replace the bracelet. But that the experience I had was top notch. I was greeted by Victor and he was extremely friendly and attentive to us. Several very expensive purchases since then... a lovely white gold ring for my engagement diamond with 116 small diamonds in the setting and a platinum ring with some very beautiful diamonds to set off an almost 4 carat Sapphire. The engagement ring setting is constantly dropping small diamonds and the Platinum setting has now broken twice. The first time it broke they charged me $249 to repair it....now, less than 3 years later it broke in the same place and they will not stand behind their repair. They want me to pay another $299 to repair it in the same place yet again. They blame it on the fact I wear the ring almost daily....feels like a scam to me. When it breaks in another couple of years the repair will be $400...etc. My girlfriends tell me they have worn their rings daily for over 30 years and never had a ring break. Very disappointed in "Buddy" & Eddie ....needless to say, will never do business with them or ever recommend them to anyone I know. Plan on 2 hours or more wasted time in this shop for the "up sale" time... like going to the dentist. read more

Not one to leave a lot of reviews, never really, but over the last couple years I have been so please with Tara I felt I owed them a public "Kudos" on their service and selection. Of course lots of shops "have inventory" but not having to worry about the quality of what your purchasing is the main reason why we go to Tara...quality for the right price. For the wife and I the main thing that sets Tara apart is customer service. The staff knows their customers, there is zero pressure sales people and they treat you with so much respect. I've been to all the "big chain" shops in Atlanta and I always feel like I'm being given the "3rd degree" or judged/treated based on how I dressed that day. I've been in Tara with a suit on as well as t-shirt and "flip-flops" in the summer...same treatment. Having said the above the biggest part about the customer service is that it is a place you can go a dozen times to look at things, ask questions, think about that "big" purchase with zero stress. They never make you feel dumb for asking questions which I love. They want to help...they WANT you to feel comfortable with your purchase with zero pressure. I only wish I would have shopped at Tara years ago when I bought my engagement ring...ugh such high pressure experiences at other places. Finally I'm a big lover and owner of watches and from Tudor to Tag Heuer to Rolex they are an Authorized Dealer. If you are thinking about one give them a call or go check them out. After insulting my fiancée (he said, "Often Asians come in thinking they know what they want because they have a friend in the business"), I explained this was our first day of looking and wanted to get an idea of pricing. After listening to him for 15 minutes and still no closer to any idea of his pricing ("we'll get to that after you know more about diamonds"), I explained that I wasn't comfortable (padded bench with no back), and I didn't have an the afternoon to spend there. He said he couldn't educate me unless I had at least an hour. We took the $20K I had in my pocket, along with our $30K budget, and left. Eddie, I'm 62 years old. So, my wife wanted to buy a replacement diamond neckless that she loved to replace a stone she gave to one of our children for an engagement ring. She had never shopped at Tara; I had purchased personal things and gifts from them on occasion. The experience was always very pleasant. Up to now she would not make the trip to Buford. This time she rode with me and shopped for herself. She bought a couple of items and left a ring for repair. What a great experience. I was paying the bill so what was not to like?
