This was the first time I ate there and let me tell you, it's amazing. They have very wonderful service and the food was very delicious. There was absolutely no fat in the meat which is a common thing I see in most taco places which I do not like. The only thing I do wish is if the dining area was located at a nicer spot. Having the taco truck next to the auto shop isn't very pleasing to sit and eat food around. Either way, the quality of the food surpassed all the noises from the auto shop close by. Would definitely recommend and would eat there again! I truly love the display as well, the way it's serviced to you just makes you feel special! Our son had been wanting to try this place for a while. During the day it is a tire shop. In the evening it's a taco truck. The prices are not bad especially when you consider the portion size. The sincronizada was one of the biggest I've seen. Our teenage son didn't finish half. The meat was flavored very well and everything was presented very nicely. The taquero mucho is a sampler of tacos, sopes, and lonches. The bread in the lonches was super flavorful. I really liked it. It was very messy and hard to eat though. The one weird thing is that the hamburger doesn't have a hamburger patty. It is more like a torta on a hamburger bun. The service was good. I have been seeing this place on my Facebook feed and decided to see what the fuzz was all about. When we first got here we were told to wait while they brought a table out. I'm guessing it was the owner who came up to us and provided menus. Then it proceeded to go downhill from there. We noticed around us that they were serving them beans, chips, salsa and provided them with napkins. However, we just had beans in our table which were ok but needed more " caldo". After about 15 mins the same guy comes up and says " oh, I forgot to ask you if you wanted something to drink" when we finally ordered, we noticed more people arriving and then noticed that their food arrived also. Hence we are still waiting for our food. I ordered the espadas which is tostadas and fajita which was COLD! I returned my food. Guy comes up with my tostadas and the wrong order of tacos. Then proceeded to go back and get my husbands order corrected. 5 mins passed comes back with the wrong order AGAIN. My tostadas were Soggy and did not have good flavor. So out of all the taco places that are in McAllen....who said the best couldn't be outside of a tire place!! Junior was our waiter all the times we went there but one time. He is an added joy to this jewel of a place! The tacos were finger licking good!! The chips have a little bit of seasoning on them....such a great flavor! The beans are the best charro beans I've had here in this area! My mouth and my belly were completely satisfied after eating every morsel! My wife wanted to check out this food place because she likes tacos. We got there and the waiter told us to wait but then other cars were coming in and they were being served first. It wasn't till I asked another waiter why we were not being served since we were there before the other cars, and he apologized. So yea, they have a problem in attending cars coming in for orders. I had the worst experience at this Taco truck. I ordered my familys meal and drinks and paid. The server then gives us our food sealed and since it wasn't busy and the drinks were correct I went home. Which is 20 minutes away. I get home it's incorrect so I have to go back. When I get there the server tells me he gave my food to someone else and that they were furious and took his tip away. The gave me my food which is now cold and he tells me he under charged me too. Then tries to plea for a tip. I explain the I had to drive all the way home and back and that it's not my fault the food was incorrect and he was furious that his mistake cause him to lose his tips. Honestly I'm more upset that I didn't get fresh food and that after all that I don't get an apology. This was a $60 order tacos. I will never go back I rather go to 5 mile line where I know the price, food, and service is 100 times better. read more
